Ok , my cart ,83 DS, was doing the same thing. I had 37V across all 6 batteries. I disconnect all and found one battery , on passenger side , only had 4V. Had tested , BAD. Replaced only that one battery and cart now runs in both directions
Raymond what did you discover the issue was? Mine is doing the same... I took controller apart and repaired a transistor that was clearly bad but after i put it all together its still doing the same Reverse is reverse and forward is reverse
O found the problem in my zoomcar. As I removed the battery gauge something was interpreta and caused the problem. I connected the gauge again and the problem gone .
That’s the million dollar answer. Most will claim it to be the controller. If the controller was ultimately bad, eventually, it wouldn’t go in any direction.
My Golf Cart is doing the exact same thing and I looked at hundreds of videos replace the switch and it’s still going reverse but not going forward once or twice it will go forward but then I will stop for like a whole couple months but I don’t know what’s the problem I charge the batteries it’s fully charged everything is brand new help

Bad selenoid.
sounds like a motor fields are shorted out or a broken pice in side

mine is only working in reverse as well and still to this day no solution?
Raymond I have a 2002 Club Car that is doing the same thing. Were you able to fix the problem?

What was the problem?
Need new fwd/rev switch. Costs about $100-$125. Wish we could just repair the switch not replace.
