This week, Ren wants to work out how to do the perfect backwards entry. There's a lot of stuff on youtube showcasing it and Mr Stewy Bryant from InertiaMS is a particular pro at it - but perhaps there's a particular technique to get best results. Is it a hydro or a clutch kick initiation? Do you use the footbrake? is it best to have grippy or slidy front tyres?
Ren tests this using his BMW E36 M3 Drift Taxi. With full Driftland Livery, BC & HSD Coilovers, roll cage and 300BHP S50B30 Engine, it's quite a machine. The particularly useful tool on this car today is the SLR Super Steering Angle Kit, which ren imported from the good guys at slrspeed.com
The SLR Kit offers up to 60 degrees of steering angle depending on set up, so this should allow Ren to correct himself out of some pretty big slides - but will it? Ren tries various techniques over two corners to try getting the perfect backwards entry - but there's definitely still work to be done!

Agreed but considering ren filmed and edited this on his own when no one was around to help. What we really need is a drone. 😜😎

As Jeek says in the other post from DriftlandTV below - I devise, film, edit and produce these just as a solo effort, which I quite like doing. Same style as ua-cam.com/video/Aa3aRlE-ciw/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/q4pgtkU9_3A/v-deo.html
I didn't want an outside camera if it meant someone else standing trackside filming. I'm open to the drone idea as Jeek has mentioned below if i can set it up, leave it to hover, and then go drive.
As per the video I'll return to the idea at a later date to try and get the hang of it a little more, so you might yet see something from the outside. Cheers very much for your comment and if you have a minute to hit the subscribe button (and haven't already) then it would be much appreciated if you could 👀😎

@@DriftlandTV very nioce, yeah my iS ~ 328 swapped bastard child is a bit like that without your sexy engine. I did get my m50 on tonight and it was worth it despite worries about flat spots or low down torque loss, used a proper kit so no surprises it works mint. my lsd is a 325i 3.15 ratio and casing using 328 shafts/cups with 3ltr m3 lsd internals fully rebuilt like over a grands worth before xmas and I run 330ci big brakes up front and 46 328i rears - keeps the correct brake bias like oem as with 330 front and rear, so i can if needed tuck a 16" just about on the rear but tbh for skids im running bbs rc 7.5j fronts with 40psi in on the rear, for grip and overall i run 9j rs reps rear with 245/40/17 and 8j up front. I well wanna bring it up just for a mild bit of abuse being careful at the back on a quiet day, espesh before i redo the rear quarters with metal and new front wings, windscreen and respray along with undersealing underneath including dropping the tank. literally the only thing original on her is a drivers side rear wheel bearing (might have been done before i owned her) and the rear subframe bushes and one rtab bush lol. I literally shell swapped her, interior including dash carpets headlining black sport rubber window seals you name it every pov spec grey bit is black. would be cool to come shake your hands anyway mate! sorry for the essay, I know you bother to read stuff and I've been telling you all year about the progress so I'm sure knowing your happy for me helps me crack on and do more. next mod will be 5kg billet flywheel, z3m short shift:P there's loads i've missed spec wise but the fact the only bits left bar the shell itself mentioned above gives it away I've down a lot lol.
