    Awesome video. I just got my first bike ever a 2022 gsxs 750Z. I am breaking it in now can't get over 5000 rpm yet. But it's already therapeutic.. It's quick and fun so far but I read it really opens up after 6000rpm I can't imagine lol. I can't wait to ride a track

    About time you posted a new video. Your bike appeared fairly settled as far as the suspension goes and a smooth line helps with that. Tire pressure can make a huge difference with basically un-adjustable suspension, so that is something free that can be fiddled with at the track, but you no doubt know that. I assume that you were not running the stock tires as I did not see you sliding around when they got hot and greasy. It also was hard to hear the engine of your bike, and I would have had to fix that if it were mine (can you say hacksaw?) but, I like louder than stock exhaust on everything, and, I personally think that it is safer on the street as well. I also have never understood those that obstruct a faster vehicle, on the street, or at a track as it is called common courtesy to let faster vehicles by. But, all track days have those who will hold you up, and, if you ride a slow bike on the street, you can have difficulty passing as well when people punch it after parking in the corners.
    At least yourr Suzuki did not seem to mind lap after lap of hard riding. Not bad value for the money, as it is sort of an entry level street bike, although, clearly, you could have used the 1000cc version at times, as, cubes is cubes.

      I was running Pirelli Rosso Corsa II’s. A much better tire than the Battlax S21’s that came stock. I was running 32/28 psi front/rear and they felt amazing. Plenty of grip and held up to >110° track temp without getting sketchy.
      I have realized the limits of the S750 on track with stock suspension. It tends to wallow in long sweepers and doesn’t have enough weigh on the front to really push hard on turn-in. If I pursue track riding further, then a true supersport or superbike is I order. Or something with fully adjusted suspension, at least.
      All considered it was a great experience and I’m already signed up for another weekend, this time at Thunderhill, later this month.

    Great video. Can you comment on how the brakes held up?

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  3 роки тому +2

      For this track weekend they were fine. No fade at all. Braided steel lines would have been nice for better feel, but the stock brakes are more than adequate for a full day of track riding for a novice rider.

    I am going to get a taste of my first track day at the next season. I can't wait but I have a 2016 Fz 07 suspension is terrible... I want to upgrade to ohlins but at the same time its expensive

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  3 роки тому +1

      Nice! Once you ride on track, you’ll be hooked. I feel the same about the suspension on my Gsx-s750. Do I upgrade the suspension or just get a bike that has adjustable suspension? Can’t decide

    • @4455badass
      @4455badass 3 роки тому

      @@djesjay08 for me I think my bike has enough speed and cornering ability, I can catch any 600 on the turns but they simply out run me on the straights I think that if I upgrade my suspension to ohlins it will help the Fz has no damper or any adjustments

    Very nice. I did my first track day this summer. I could not believe how bad my first few sessions were. Picking up the pace little by little. How hard do you counter steer in fast corners? Sometimes I feel like I don't push enough and I'm running out of lean angle. Jesus does it even make sense? Nice video

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  2 роки тому +1

      Pretty much I’m never thinking about how much I’m counter steering. It’s more important to develop solid markers for braking, corner apex, and corner exit. Use your vision and look where you want to go. Lean angle and body position come with practice. Fundamentals are the most important focus when starting to ride on track. Hope that helps!

    Hey dude, love the 750, What tires are you running at the track and do you run the same on the street?

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  3 роки тому

      For this track day I was on Pirelli Rosso Corsa 2’s or 3’s, can’t remember. I highly recommend them if you plan on riding on the street with them. Now I run Pirelli Supercorsa SP v2’s way more consistent and predictable on track due to the compound.

    what was the wind like at those high speeds? sometimes on the highway the turbulence is nasty so i imagine it was tough going over 100. Did you lay on the gas tank on the straights?

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  3 роки тому +1

      The wind is pretty powerful at track speeds. Any time I was going 100 + I was laying on the tank and holding on with my upper and lower body. However, I did get used the wind resistance by the end of the 1st day and it was a non issue the 2nd day.

    It does not come with slipper clutch.does it hinders you in any way?

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  2 роки тому

      No, I didn’t mind not having a slipper clutch. It honestly teaches you better bike control and allows you to slow the rear tire down more or less based on how you let out the clutch lever while downshifting.

      The GSX-S 750 is a perfect bike for street riding. Very comfortable to ride with balanced handling, good brakes, and a good amount of torque and power for passing.

    Wondering if you did anything special for your track setup or is it stock?

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  3 роки тому +3

      All stock except for tires. I’m running Pirelli Rosso Coras II’s. The OE Bridgestone Battlax S21’s were okay for the street, but I prefer the Pirelli’s for the front end feel and they are last longer too despite feeling like a softer tire with more grip.

    • @djesjay08
      @djesjay08  2 роки тому +2

      Funny you say that, because after the first session of the day I was bumped up to group B. I'm not the fastest by any means, and I never claimed to be, but I can keep on my line and not ride unpredictably like most riders in group C. Any constructive criticism is welcome, but if you don't have any specific tips or insights then please keep useless comments like this to yourself. It's really about getting out there and having fun on track. Stay safe out there!
