Nice video thanks, am thinking of buying the low noise hi-hat for my TD17 so it was useful to hear the difference in acoustic noise! Also U.K. based so would be good to buy from Jobeky. Have subscribed too 👍🎶🎵
Great video. Thanx for sharing! The module sounds incredible. Especially the cymbals are so open! Are those special imported sounds or stock from the module?
Paul, would you mind sharing what you are running the drum cables to prior to it going to the computer, please? It would be incredible to see a video on the equipment used from your pc to your drums.
Hello. I will be able to do so once I manage to finish my new studio. The reason why I haven’t posted anything in a while is because I have been slowly sorting out my own space where everything will always be set up and ready to go, but I will be happy to do a video with the signal path so you can see 😃👍🏻🤘🏻🥁
My Jobekey hi hat is very noisy. The top plastic trigger unit is hitting the lower cymbal before the clutch does. So far I didn’t manage to fix this , any suggestions?
@@paulocardosodrums the new low volume kind, 14” with two cymbals, exactly like the ones you show in this video. In the meantime I managed to use the top cymbal fine on its own, but when I put them together I get a click sound from the plastic of the top cymbal just barely but sure enough- touching the lower cymbal. Seems to me like a poor design, I mean it could have worked fine with a few millimetres more or if it was made with the plastic just a little bit on the shallow side in there. The cymbal also works better with the choke feature without the lower cymbal, they could have mentioned this in the site… still, the crash and ride are great.
@@KitCatStudio from my experience, it has to do with the clutch adjustment. I have used mine with both top and bottom cymbals and top cymbal only. After the clutch adjustment, I have also messed about with the pad settings in the module. Now I’m my case, I’m using a Pearl Mimic Pro.
@@KitCatStudio I have used both for the stylistic aspect. Choke? If I want to choke a hi hat I close it??? All other cymbals, crashes, splashes and ride do have a choke function. They just work better than Roland for me
Hey Steve. Not particularly. Especially if you’re looking at mic stands, mics, leads, etc. I now have this kit set up on a Roland rack and all of the booms are marked so it’s really easy to get there, open the rack, put down the boom arms, toms, and then just plug in the leads. I created my own loom and every jack connector is labelled so it’s nice and easy.
@@paulocardosodrums that’s badass! I’m working on getting mine going for gigging and touring. Looking into field hi hats and cymbals. And I also have my cables labeled and will likely loom them but I’ve still gotta plan that out.

Hi and thank you for the kind words.
All of these are stock sounds 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🥁🥁🥁

Is the high hat performance the same or better than the VH 11
Hello Mike.
I moved from a VH-13 and have to say…. Didn’t miss anything.
My Jobekey hi hat is very noisy. The top plastic trigger unit is hitting the lower cymbal before the clutch does. So far I didn’t manage to fix this , any suggestions?
Which model do you have?

@@paulocardosodrums do u prefer to use both cymbals? I’m not sure what’s the point, to use both of them. it sounds the same , and no choke feature…

How do you find setup times for shows to be?
Hi Steve. Thank you for the message.
In what way?
@@paulocardosodrums
Is it longer to set up before shows with this e-kit and pearl mimic than a standard kit?
Or is it faster? Or about the same?
