I know its an oldish video, i. Just replacing my heater core, can you elaborate for me on what made it take 6 hours? Watching this makes it seem like maybe a couple hours of work max
Cisco, hands down way easier looking than other videos. I have a 2013 f150, same body. By chance do you know if the disassembly is the same as your project?
Yes, it should be the same. The only difference may be if there are only 2 bolts on the drive side door, the other bolt goes thur the door Fram there still 3 bolts the 3rd on inside the from behind a black round plug
It would be nice to cut that crappy music getting anyone everyone nervous and it would be nice to slow it down a little bit so somebody could see what you're doing but I could see you don't give two craps
@@DatWestcoastMechanic no dog he’s right you cut too many parts out. If you’re going to make a tutorial for a six hour job, the video should probably be longer than eight minutes, buddy.
I found his suggestion of starting with The bolts at the top to be a very good strategy for me because once I get into this my truck is disabled and I need it. If I get hung up on those bolts there's a hardest I really haven't done anything that would stop me from driving the truck. I'll agree that he's moving at a pretty fast clip but I've seen some others that were so slow I couldn't hardly stand to watch the whole thing. Telling the size of the fasteners would help I herd 5/16 or 8 mm I had heard 10 on various videos but the ones in my 09 F150STX turned out to be half inch After i figured that And best extension n rachets 15 minutes later I had that part of the job complete I'd like to add that I use some small magnets on the end of the extension inside the socket to ensure that the bolts didn't fall out although I would imagine they would have just gone to the floorboard, Going back in I think magnets will be a little bit more valuable
Still good video!🤙

So jealous of rust free rides! Great video, thank you
Ya, it's great, no rust. I'm glad the video helped. Thank you
@@DatWestcoastMechanic Do you sell cars? Arrange transport?
4:33 where are the three bolts on the air box inside the cab? I feel as if I'm missing one and it will not come out.
You got the ones off the firewall
In the engine bay
Lots of bolts inside and out of the cab. Took those bolts out you mentioned once I got to the box and nothing happened except its slightly lose
What did you find ?
Try
Look for bolts top corners of the Dash
You have to remove the A post trim to see it
What a excellent video !
Thank you
was there 2 Blend doors on the air box?

just replaced my heater core and it gave out like 2 weeks after🤦♂️
would the leak look like from the firewall? like behind it? and drips down the exhaust ?
Awesome video. I wish you were close to me. Mine just started to smell with the heat on.
Hey. Where are the bolts to remove the heater box
When it would leak , where would the coolant drip out of?
The drip tube on the passenger side
Really good, short ant to the point..
Sometimes a heater core just needs a flush
where are the three bolts i need to remove? great video til you actually remove the thing the video is about
What part of the video ?
Useless video if you don't show the screw locations. Video sucks.
Thank you. I appreciate it Make one so I know how to do it next time. So I can get better
