Thanks for this video. I'm here to gain inspiration for pairing morning glory with bamboo. They will share the same glass tube that the bamboo is currently flourishing in. I've pruned off these bamboo roots several times. This will be the first time I've attempted to pair anything with bamboo in this environment. In the past the bamboo failed to thrive and did not grow. Probably because it was in soil. It did not grow, nor did it die. I anticipate the use of soft yarn around the MG and bamboo stalk will usefully. Greetings from USA.

hello! big thanks for making this video but i am not convinced about hanging the basket with a yarn, probably could choose something strong like a rope or metallic chain, because it's better to secure it rather than taking the risk of the yarn snapping and it falling over someone.
Hi Sneha.😃😃😃 Thank you so much for watching this video and sharing your feedback. You are absolutely justified in your anticipation . However,I'd like to share why I chose to use, what I used. 1. The yarn was a muga silk yarn. Muga silk yarns are well known to be very strong and durable and are capable enough to withstand weather damage for a long time. 2. The potting mix I used itself was light weight,if you have followed the previous videos. I used cocopeat and compost, both of which are quite light weight, thereby reducing the weight of the planter considerably. This prevented too much of strain on the yarn. Such a setup of morning glories is just a matter of a season,it is difficult to keep morning glories bound in such a short space for a long time,so I went ahead with my idea. And you know what happened? Later on,the basket succumbed to the weather, but the yarn remained intact😅😅😅
Whimsy Crafter thank you so much for the information! Fun fact I am also growing mornig glory from seeds and other flowering plants. Request you to make more videos on flowering plants. All the best :) lots of love:)

Why would you send a heart on that comment? I'm a bit confused actually. It was more of a query from my side, that my morning glory does have a lot of buds, but those buds dry and drop instead of flowering.
Morning glories are weeds. They thrive on neglect. So that is what you should look out for. Are providing too much care to it? If yes, stop and let the plant be. Next, too much water or too little water can cause bud drop. Excessive heat too can...but that is somewhat unlikely. See that you water early in the morning and not at midday, when the soil has already warmed up. Do not fertilize morning glories, they don't require it. If the plant is getting too much sunlight through the day,try shifting it to a shaded location and see how it reacts. Every house has a unique micro climate,it is not one size fits all,so you have to find out via trial and error method.
@@WhimsyCrafter Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. I initially tried watering it only once in day (Early morning). However, the leaves become dul in absence of water so took up watering twice in day. Will try to push it to a shaded location next.
Finally got some blooms after reading and asking on numerous channels. Did the following things: 1. Since I initially added fertilizers, I watered the plant for three days until the water starts dripping out. This made sure that most of the fertilizer was drained from the pot. Note that my soil is highly porous and the water does not retain for long (else it will lead to root rot) 2. Kept the plant in the sun till I was overwatering to make sure that the soil becomes dry till the next day (and can be overwatered again) 3. After three days, move the plant to a bit shaded area (under the porch) where it gets direct sunlight till 10AM and then indirect sunlight after 10AM. Thanks for the help.
I got morning glory plants from the wild (with the roots) many times and planted it in pots. Never survived. Any reason why? I have given the best care possible but to no avail.

Hello Sabreena.Thank you for watching this video and appreciating it. Potting soil is that medium in which plants grow, basically,it means the soil for the pots where you will plant the sapling or plant. We usually use locally available regular soil to grow our plants, but now there are smarter and reasonable options available for gardeners which promote plant health. Cocopeat is one such material. It is an inert growing material made from husk of coconuts. It is light in weight, and can hold moisture without getting waterlogged. Here I prepared a potting soil or mix for my morning glories by using cocopeat,as it is very light and cow dung manure. This helped me reduce the weight of my hanging planters to a great extent and also allowed the plant's roots to extend faster thereby promoting healthy blooms. Hope I've been able to answer your queries. Still if you have any queries, ask me. If you liked the idea please like the video and don't forget to subscribe to my channel.😊
