Stefan, legend! Been enjoying your music for more than 30 years (especially Terrace). Thanks for the Acid Junkies set at Dekmantel this year, was banging!
This tutorial ran through things in a way that I finally understood, I have had RPE2 for about 6 months but didn't really know how to used a lot of the functions. Now I think I know 99%.
Thanks for this review, made me bought this plugin. Bad thing is that RPE2 does not respond to MIDI notes for transposing the patterns. It's very tedious to change the pitch of the patterns with automation lanes. Or I am missing somethig but I haven't found it ;)
I think you would end up using it to lay down the MIDI, then you could use different sounds on individual notes or tracks of the sequences, and control the velocity precisely. As opposed to playing live with it
That would be nice if the plugin has a grid or timeline where we could "sequence" presets chains. Xronomorph has something like this. Then Hy-Rpe2 would be a killer.
Great video Stefan, I'm trying to send the midi to my Nord drum via Ableton but It won't allow me to send multiple channels out of the RPE2 to it, only one midi channel - so I cannot utilitize all the channels of the RPE2, any ideas? Thanks
In cubase when when you set the RPE2 channel to a different number it literally makes no difference, still broadcasts to all channels :D. in RPE2 the channel is 3 and in Cubase the channel is 1, it still broadcasts from 3 to 1 XD

Good review. I think you forgot the step sequencer mode for vet / gate etc. _ Did you already a video for the other page ?
Hi there, what synth is that at 38:42?
Has anyone gotten this to work in Reaper? I placed it before my other VST but I'm getting nothing
Select your vst to receive RPE2 in the route dialog box on the instrument rack and send in RPE2 route dialog box.
Anything?
