Modulightor - Paul Rudolph - New York City

Schedule a tour of the Modulightor designed by Paul Rudolph in 1989. He bought the site with Ernst Wagner, his partner in the light fixture business. Lighting is manufactured and sold on the lower floors with two duplex apartments above. Rudolph’s emphasis on a sense of scale and the play of light and shadow make this a challenge to the architecture of the 1980’s that focused on historicism.
