- The Mount Vineyard (Perfect Day Trip From London)// When you think of wine regions England is not the first place that comes to mine. The Mount Vineyard is located just outside of London in Shoreham making it one of the perfect day trips from London by train. If you are wondering what to do in London this weekend, then add this winery to unmissable day trips from London!
There are quite a few wineries in Kent and a great starting point to get your taste for English wine.
I highly recommend when visiting the Mount Vineyard that you book the wine tasting. One of the lovely staff members will walk you through English Wine Making in Kent, about English winemakers in the area and general history on how winemaking started.
This is another video in my London travel guide series so make sure you watch the playlist for more ideas! • Kew Gardens Attraction...

Mount Vineyard is one of my favourite day trips from London. What's your favourite day trip?
Kat, I love your positive vibe! I've just scrolled through all of your videos and they're really calming and lovely. Keep up the good work
Looks amazing!. I need to move back.
Love the video and the background music. Such a beautiful vineyard. Looks like a place I'd want to go too - love wine and pizza!!
We'll need to go one day!
Nice video, I enjoyed the camera work.
Thank you! I'm trying to get better with the camera work. Need to get out and about a bit more!
Kat is doing a great job! ❤️❤️
Thank you! 🥰❤️ Hope you have a wonderful week planned!
Thank you for including vegans! How far ahead do you think you would have to book for the Mount Vineyard restaurant?
I would say winter 3-4 weeks but in summer 4-6 weeks for the wine tastings. There's more availability for the restaurant and during summer you can sit on the picnic benches so there is more space 😊
Hey Kat, this is great. Love your videos. Quick question. I'm trying to get my timing down on a day trip there when I am in London. So, train to Sevenoaks station, then train to Shoreham (Kent) station, then walk 10 minutes to the winery? Do I have that correct? Or train direct to Shoreham and walk? Total time? Thanks so much!
Depends what route you're taking, there is a direct train from Blackfriars. You can see the stops here: www.thetrainline.com/book/results?journeySearchType=single&origin=2144c4ddc11461cf9b03af198933e8df&destination=a2d3bf0d23a5550f3f95223f69cfeab9&outwardDate=2022-02-05T10%3A15%3A00&outwardDateType=departAfter&selectedTab=train&selectExactTime=true&lang=en&dpiCookieId=O2BUO22PKJ4ZSZNM9MMVH9ZM0
Otherwise I swap sevenoaks, just because trains depart from Victoria normally stop there.
The walk is only 10 minutes from the station.
@@KatsGoneGlobal Thanks, Kat! We will be staying in Covent Garden, so Blackfriars is about the same walk or taxi ride as Victoria is. Probably best to just leave from Blackfriars and not worry about changing. Thanks again! We will tell them you got us there. :-)
