Alright, seems people are still struggling wifh this? Hey mate, I hope you are still doing better and appreciate the time you take on setting up these tutorials. I'd love to see how to set it up so it can be played multiplayer, be it with the interface or interface + realtone cable, with this tutorial I manage to play through the interface but it kills my realtone.
Extremely rare I leave comments but this man earned it. Taking the time to personally help anyone on his discord with technical issues they're having getting this nightmare of a game working with interfaces and OBS. Highly recommended.
For anyone having issues getting this to work my solution was to install the Windows 7/8 driver. I have a Scarlett 2i4 interface which when having the Windows 10/11 driver installed, rocksmith was picking up that I'm using a "Thunder bolt" driver which I'm not. I tried to force the "Focusrite USB ASIO" driver in the RS_ASIO .ini file but this wouldn't work. Simply put - Install the windows 7/8 focusrite driver (yes even if you're on w10 / w11). Once the older driver was installed everything just worked as Rocksmith was picking up the Focusrite USB ASIO driver. Rocksmith sounds great, and I was able to get the buffer down to 48 with really no detectable latency when playing.

When i open rocksmith, it takes control of my mic until close rocksmith and i take change my mic settings in windows to something else and back again. ive changed exclusivity mode, ive turned off mic in every INI and setting i could find. Yeah I made this awhile ago now with a knock to my confidence at the time. If you need a hand, feel free to reach out to me on my discord server. I’m probably gonna make a new guide at some point this year.
I have not ran the voicemeter download yet , so let me play with it more, but just got most of the files dropped in Rocksmith 2014 Remastered, and I can play with my interface now just a ton of stuff isn’t picking up my guitar. So back at it and thanks for all the new comments you did! Well I actually quit streaming today so I might not do all this and watch how Chainbrain does it. and decide. I’ll hit your discord if I find your link
Thank fuck, this actually worked. I was getting ready to return the damn game because I either had crackling audio or no input. Now I can actually play guitar instead of just thinking that I should.
No worries, glad this tutorial was handy! Here's how to do that! Go back into RSMods, "Enable Fast Load" under the "Set And Forget Mods" section. You can also set it to sign into the last used profile under Mod settings, Automation and chose your profile at the bottom right. :)
Thank you so much for this resolution. It solved a whole bunch of problems I was initially having but now my only issues is I have no sound from my guitar pickups? I used input 1 which is what I setup for but no sound from guitar. Rocksmith 2014 is fine? Any ideas please?
Ok switched everything back to use input 2 but when I open Rocksmith and try to play I get the following : It sounds like your microphone is unplugged. Reconnect your microphone to continue"? Rocksmith 2014 works but my guitar isn't playing through it???
Thanks! You were a massive help. I remember using my audio interface with Rocksmith like a year ago and it booted up without issue, but I reinstalled it to jump back in today and it was giving me that unrecognized audio input error. After this though, works like a charm. Also made me realize that not only does it have bass sections for songs but it also just has an entire bass lesson set/mode? Which is also in the input mode? Was sweet to see.
When I tried without Voicemeeter my audio dies when I launch Rocksmith. Then when I tried Voicemeeter I can't choose MME Voicemeeter for A2 in Banana. It's not even showing up
RSModsInstaller refuses to find my Rocksmith 2014 folder no matter how many times I select it in the directory. I do have it installed on a separate drive, for space purposes, but I still don't understand why it won't install. I even tried running as administrator
Is there any possible ways to get the game audio going through the virtual cable? I've tried to make it from "App volume and device preferences" settings by selecting Rocksmith's audio going to virtual cable, but nothing happens in voicemeeter.
my problem is that rocksmith doesnt recognize any output device, my output device is called maudio mobile pre mkII. it's the audio interface wich is connected to a pair of speakers.
Thanks! I had to mess around a bit but got it working eventually. I disabled the onboard audio in device manager and rebooted and then it worked. Not sure exactly what the issue was but it is working so I won't ask questions. I then got the input working with the real tone cable. My goal was to set it up so I could play Rocksmith without changing my audio device settings every time.
@@DeathlySin Well it did give me the tools to set up the game how I needed to to enjoy it. At one point I had another program open that was fighting for control over the audio interface so that might have been the reason for some of my trouble.
I have a M-Vave Tank B pedal, installed ASIO4ALL, I have a Microphone (USB-Audio) input and I wanna use my pc speakers as output, but it doesn't seem to recognize the output anymore after I paste RSAudio dll on Rocksmith folder :S. It says that ERROR AUDIO INITIALIZATION. I did as the guy showed in the video, clicked the Asio4All, disabled the thing, but it says error and there's no audio from the game.
after using the mod exe now my game now instantly crashes on startup - that was because i was using the beta branch of the game. now reinstalled from scratch did i neither have input nor output
how do i get my a2 on voice meter to show the options yours does? mine does not show voice meter as an option even though i have them all enabled at 48000 and set to default device?
both of these methods add quite a bit of latency, is there really no method that lets you capture game audio without latency that makes it impossible to play?
I feel like none of these fixes work for the cracked version. Forget the steam version . Getting asios to run with Ableton and Rocksmith are such massive headaches.
Still getting an error on startup saying there is no audio output device selected. It won’t let me turn off exclusive mode. When I turn it off I get the error saying no audio output
The log doesn't pick up my Focusrite Scarlet as a device for some reason. Everything works as my mic and speakers are going through it and working fine.
no matter what I do, the audio is still late. finally it's not choppy at least, but no way in hell can I play if the audio is off by like .5 seconds always. I've done the ingame adjustments with audio latency on every number to no avail :( on PC using clarett pre 2
I've followed everything exactly how you said. It works in the fact it picks up my audio but my rocksmiths in game sound and even the game launch sound is very gainy/bitty. it sound like everything is breaking or comes from an arcade machine. also the in game audio for everything is super slow motion and reverbed. How do I fix this?
then how to set it up without the real tone cable? because i have never set it up before? it keeps telling me to input it into the realtone cable? rocksmith with recognize my audio interface
If you set up RS ASIO properly, it tells the game your interface is the realtone cable. I.e. it won’t show in game as your interface, it will still say Real Tone Cable, but if you’ve set it up right it’ll be using your interface.
My voice meeter wouldnt allow the virtual bus inputs. ende dup just removing the .dll and uninstalling RS mods. was gonna stream this game, but it's no biggie. I like the 0 latency of the ASIO though! thank you.
@@DeathlySin the oem cable sucks... this procedure too 😂 and I could not get clean sound from my Focusrite... I cant even tune my guitar because the needle keeps jumping all around...

I don't see my interface in the RS ARIO settings. Read the troubleshooting. My interface is running at 48000 Hz with 16-bit DVD quality in the control panel and it is the default device and I still don't see it in input1 or input2. I have no idea what's wrong and how to fix it.
I can't get an audio output. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I'm looking at what everyone else is doing and adjusting the settings. I'm using a PreSonus USB 96 interface, any help is appreciated.
For any of you currently having issues with "no audio output" error still popping up; for whatever reason plugging a device into the headphone jack of my PC allowed the game to properly find the correct output device. I also have ASIO4ALLv2 installed.
I'm getting a whistling that hurts my ears when I play a custom song. The audio switches and when I strum is get the whistle I need help. I also had to turn on (use WASAPI input for my focusrite USB Interface even when it says for recording. I need help with both the problems
@@DeathlySin I figured out how to get everything running for me. I totally forgot about loopback on the Focusrite Scarlet 18i8 that I have. I had the tools I needed but I was stupid at the time lol.
How do you legally buy Rocksmith 2014 for PC at the moment? It's been removed from Steam and stuff? I'm not touching Rocksmith+ - not unless I can buy it once, and own it; I'm not paying a monthly subscription. xD
@@DeathlySin I joined you. I gotta tell you. I don't know jack about Discord. Other than it looks primative. Even more than the old usenet servers. But I hope I can figure it out.
@@DeathlySin But I guess all the crackling in the audio is the less than Ideal audio drivers. Or I guess an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 X CPU(which is comparable to an intel i7 but better)and a AMD Ryzen 6600XT GPU with 64gig ram isn't good enough to do Rocksmith, Reaper, and OBS at the same time.I can only do 192 for the audio. So the modinstaller.... do I absolutely have to be on the latest firmware? I have CDLC and had to use the beta code to revert so I could use them again. With the modinstaller fix this issue?
Hey there, i know this is an older video and you said that you're planning to update but have to ask the question because this is the only video listed on the profile. I have an M-Audio M-Track Plus. I have been trying this method to get it set up as I don't see the interface in the game natively. I followed the directions to the T and after i install the mods program it crashes the game. I'm not sure what's going on here... it's the mods app that's doing it i know though. I checked to verify that i have the most up to date version and it is still not working. So just to clarify, i have installed everything and followed all the instructions all the way up to the point where i open rocksmith after doing all the Mods app stuff and it crashes. I don't need voicemeter as I can't sing and play at the same time. The only thing i can think of is that i have FL Studio but i don't have it running at the same time. I also have ASIO4ALL installed for FL Studio to be able to pick up my M-Track in FL Studio. But like i said, none of that is running at the same time as the game or the mods app so i'm not sure why it would be a problem. I guess the last question would be is have you abandoned this because of th P2W model of Rocksmith+? I don't want to pay for a game that I already own and 2014 was great the way it was... i just haven't played in a long time and wanted to use my interface on the game.
Hello - I haven't had time to sit down and re-do this guide in the slightest yet, hence no new video, sorry. I haven't abandoned 14 no, I still play it myself when I get chance to. Did you buy chance enable fast load? Feel free to message me on Discord: deathlysin And I'll try see what I can do
Thanks for this Tutorial. It fixed my problem of Rocksmith crashing after a white screen with logo because of incompatibility with Focusrite. Would be great if I could route the output of the game directly to Focusrite output 5+6. This would give me the chance to route it back with focusrite hardware to grab the audio with OBS without Voicemeeter. Unfortunately if I try to set the output to focusrite and change the base channel the game wont recognize the sound.
I keep having an issue where everything seems like its work but there is no sound being picked up by rock smith, if i strum really hard it will pick up the slightest noise but that it. do you know what settin i need to change to fix this?

I.e. it won’t show in game as your interface, it will still say Real Tone Cable, but if you’ve set it up right it’ll be using your interface.
This completely broke my game. lol. Doesnt even launch anymore. Even when I change my settings back. Whoops.
My voice meeter wouldnt allow the virtual bus inputs. ende dup just removing the .dll and uninstalling RS mods. was gonna stream this game, but it's no biggie. I like the 0 latency of the ASIO though! thank you.
This saves me! Forever grateful for this video
I don't want to play Rocksmith anymore after seen this xD
How so?
@@DeathlySin the oem cable sucks... this procedure too 😂 and I could not get clean sound from my Focusrite... I cant even tune my guitar because the needle keeps jumping all around...
@@albertomartin70 What sucks about the realtone cable? I've got one that I've had since the first Rocksmith came out in 2011. Still works fine :)
That sounds like you're having issues with possibly buffersize.
If you want further help, feel free to join my discord from the description and I can help you further :)
@@albertomartin70 His video didnt suck at all my issue was resolved, maybe you suck at following simple instructions?
i have insane audio crackle on startup do u know why?
Wow thank you so much! I spent hours trying to do this

I am not having the voicemeeter options pop up for the A2. I followed all the steps precisely, but they wont show up. Please Help!
I don't see my interface in the RS ARIO settings. Read the troubleshooting. My interface is running at 48000 Hz with 16-bit DVD quality in the control panel and it is the default device and I still don't see it in input1 or input2. I have no idea what's wrong and how to fix it.
6:57 On my computer, I don't see MME Voicemeeter Input or the AUX Input at all :( I don't know what to do......
plss help me it doesn´t work because asio dont starts at the same time, it has a dalayn so the game say ERRO NO AUDIO OUTPUT, plss help me :(

my guitar sounds very crackly and distored why is that?
Why am I not getting the "MME: voicemeeter input" option shown at 7:00 ?
same
i have been bleesed by your video, it works, thank you
I can't get an audio output.
Or you can just use WASPAIOutputs=1 in RS ASIO itself. I’d recommend not using ASIO4ALL, it’s akin to a bad translator.
I'm getting a whistling that hurts my ears when I play a custom song. The audio switches and when I strum is get the whistle I need help. I also had to turn on (use WASAPI input for my focusrite USB Interface even when it says for recording. I need help with both the problems
I don't have the voicemeter input option in A2. Literally nothing seems to work for me
A2 was patched out in an update as detailed in the pinned comment.
What interface do you have?
@@DeathlySin I figured out how to get everything running for me. I totally forgot about loopback on the Focusrite Scarlet 18i8 that I have. I had the tools I needed but I was stupid at the time lol.
I don't understand why MME: VoiceMeeter isn't showing up A1 or A2. Can anyone help me with that?
Read the pinned comment.
How do you legally buy Rocksmith 2014 for PC at the moment? It's been removed from Steam and stuff?
I'm not touching Rocksmith+ - not unless I can buy it once, and own it; I'm not paying a monthly subscription. xD
Followed Precisely. When Rocksmith starts. it says no audio output is connected. Only way I get audio is if Exclusive is turned on
Join my discord and I’ll help you.
Anything higher or lower and it crackles severely. 192 is still pretty bad.
@@peterharoldjanakjr2078 Not true at all. I’m on a 5600x with 16GB RAM and I’m able to run this just fine. What’s your discord name? I’m sure I’ve seen you join the server. I’ll be able to help you in there later today and remotely connect over teamviewer to help you set it up.
i haven't even gotten this far, the game crashes at loading screen about 20 seconds launching from steam?
windows 10
What interface have you got and how do you currently have things configured?
Feel free to message me on Discord: deathlysin
And I'll try see what I can do
My audio was cracking for some reason but i switched my inputs from one to two and it started working
I recommend you try using Asiolink Pro, It's working like a charm for me for capturing audio through the Focusrite.
I keep having an issue where everything seems like its work but there is no sound being picked up by rock smith, if i strum really hard it will pick up the slightest noise but that it. do you know what settin i need to change to fix this?
Im using a focusrite scarlett solo, and im gettinf really bad crackling. Not just my guitar but all audio in the game from when I first boot it up. any thoughts?
Try adjusting your buffer size
Select Focusrite USB ASIO as Output. It works perfectly for me. Buffer size had no effect at all (Scarlet 2i2)
In A2 it does not have that selection you had is there any reason to that and also audio is only coming from the left side of my headphones now? 6:56
I didnt work with my focusrite scarlett... "no audio output detected"
What method did you try using, WASAPI or Voicemeeter?
I'm having issues getting my scarlett solo to split the channels in voice meeter. Also, getting obs to pick up on the game audio. Anyone able to assist?
