Well i'm Ukrainian, and i think you guys rock! There is a lot of crap happens in my country, and we are trying force our government to accept FIRST weapon law so we can legally buy pistols, revolvers and other firearms at a reasonable prices, and defend ourselves with it, but a lot of my countryman have, as you call it, "sheep mentality" and fear of guns. UA-cam helps to teach people that you didn't need to fear good people with guns, you need to fear bad people with anything. Sorry for butchering english language.
How about your single shot 20 gauge sawed off barrel to the wood and cut off pistol grip out of the stock sand down barrel and you can run any shell out of it make your own cut off slugs or throw in rock salt any thing also for the ability to shoot more than 1 shit see double barrels side by side or over under or do it with a pump gun but it will be a bit bigger
Yeah you guys definitely need to do a "budget truck gun" video. There is no way I'd buy something that expensive to keep in my truck, muchless with all the tacticool gadgetry. To me a truck gun is a general purpose firearm that is reliable and inexpensive. I live in farm country but work in a city 30 miles away so I need something that will do everything from killing varmints, to defending myself and getting me home if things go crazy while I'm in the city. And if it's stolen, dropped, or goes a while without being cleaned I won't be too upset. I have a mossberg maverick 88 that I bought at a pawn shop and even after buying an 18.5 inch barrel, sling, and shell holder I've got about $215 invested. I spray painted the short barrel black to keep rust off and in the last 6 years it's killed tons of critters and snakes, put down a deer with it, been hunted with, and there's nothing in North America it won't kill if I need to defend myself. That's a truck gun. If we're being realistic I would much rather have seen a bunch of old pumps, lever actions, bolt actions, etc sitting on that counter instead of all the spec op gear that the average working guy is not gonna buy. How do you leave out any of those guns in a video about truck guns?
@Führer des Benutzers Nah I don't need an RPG-7 with extra rockets. I carry a shovel and 5 gallons of gasoline. When I see an enemy APC, I just dig a huge ass hole, trapping the tank. Then I torch it. Kind of like what my Polish ancestors did against your tanks. Still embarrassed about that Hitler? Also how's South America?
@@aperson4933The colors red, white, and blue don't run, and like the big (timid) kid on the block, we don't start wars, we just finish them.....also, like the Japanese Admiral, Isoroku Yamamoto said, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant."....that he did...you don't "sucker-punch" the USA and expect to get away with it.
It's all about training... every once in a while you gotta let a big girl ride you silly to develop that lap-callus so you don't worry about hot brass... XD
checkout the police shooting unarmed folk rate......a sure sign of paranoia, the usa cops kill more (westerners) than isis, due to fact any idiot may be armed to teeth. and also just coz u r paranoid doesnt mean some twit isnt gonna shoot you.
+Bryan Pinto usa cops killed at least 1000 people in 2015. many of them unarmed or not presenting a threat. this is not because they were all asshole cops, but because they are paranoid......and with good reason, with all sorts of nuts wandering around armed to teeth, legally or otherwise.
+rahowhero its not about how well armed you are. the problem in the US is all the drugs. When a civilian is high on all sorts of shit they have to be real careful if you know what i mean.
As a teen from the south of The US, my go-to truck/trunk gun would be my Marlin 336 in 30-30 my dad and I picked up for under $300 in acceptable condition. Capacity of 6+1, range of roughly 200 yards, light recoil, and enough power to stop practically anything in the country. I don't see anything wrong with it. Is the the best for a self defense shootout? No. A solid AR-15 or AK-47 would be better. But m lever action will perform well across the board without costing me $600+. Just my two cents.
That's a good choice! I had a Marlin 1895 in 44 Magnum; 10+1 (I loaded 8 with an empty barrel. Easy to rack, and top off.) Good to 200 yards. Racking a lever gun is like racking a shotgun; it's an attention getter! NO ONE wants to chew on a 44 mag HP! Less recoil than a 30-30 or 12 Guage, and longer range than a shotgun.
My #1 truck gun picks would have to both ironically be surplus guns. A Makarov and/or SKS. Depending on whether you want your truck gun to be a pistol or rifle. Both are extremely cheap, ungodly reliable, have enough firepower to get the job done, and not gonna be something you're gonna care about getting dinged or rusted or God forbid stolen. Plus ammo is super cheap for both. Perfect choices. I would have to say something like an HK rifle would be a horrible truck gun. The last thing you would want is your $1000+ rifle rusting when you accidentally leave your window down one night before it rains. Or as mentioned earlier, having that same $1000+ gun stolen out of your car. The idea truck gun is something dead reliable, cheap, and easily replaceble. Accuracy and accessories are the opposite end of the spectrum from "truck gun"
LMFAO! I was JUST explaining to my friend how you guys didn't understand the concept of a truck gun and said to him "if you wreck your truck and break your leg and have to use your rifle as a crutch to walk to get help I kinda doubt you would want that rifle to be a P90" and then I continue watching the video AND YOU PULL OUT A P90!! Lmaaooo. I'm sorry this is just too good hahaha
another nice point about an sks rifle is they are loaded with stripper clips so in states where you cant have your rifle loaded you just have the rifle in there unloaded with a stripper clip pouch in the truck and in seconds you can have a ready to go firearm instead of rifles like AR15s where you would have to load the mags then put the mag in the gun i know in my state it isnt legal to have a full mag in your car but it is legal to have rounds on stripper clips in your car
An SKS ain't cheap anymore.i see russian ones for $500 stock and chinese $400 they used to be $200. I bought an SKSM few years ago that came with an underfolding stock for $350.
When I think of truck gun, I think of pump shotgun or lever action in the window rack. Those were the good old days, you could drive to school with three or four guns and a fishing pole in plain view of the back window and not take any grief over it. What happened?
I went to high school in the 70's. The school parking lot was full of trucks with guns. No one gave it a second thought. One day in gym class the coach was trying to open a bag of volleyballs, frustrated, he asked for a pocket knife. About half the boys had one on them. Never heard of one being used in a fight.
Damn, my idea of a truck gun is a maverick 88, hi point carbine or maybe even a Remington 870. but I can't justify dropping 1200 bucks on a really nice rifle or shotgun, just to keep in my trunk or something. if it gets stolen, I'm out of a crap ton of money, when I could have bought a perfectly fine trunk/truck gun for 1/5 the amount of a benelli. No thanks lol, I'll be a cheap ass with my hi point 4595 carbine.
A low cost firearm is probably best for a vehicle. I dont want to dump 2k for it to get stolen if someone breaks into my truck. not to mention, its gonna be VERY rare that someones in a situation like that (not saying its impossible, just very unlikely).
You're missing one other component. In an event you hope never occurs, you will be in court, civil and criminal, the more benign looking the firearm, the better for you. A Mini-14 and an AR-15 both fire a .223/5.56 round, yet the Mini looks more "harmless". Same with pistols, the Glock is used by many police agencies and lay people familiar, yet some exotic looking 9mm or .40's can get a slick attorney branding user as some psyco, blood thirsty gun nut. Remember ALL gun control efforts (and persecution of gun owners in a justified shooting) are based solely on emotional exploitation, not fact.
That's a very good point. These guys produce videos with rather exotic and expensive firearms, mainly because this generates video views. These guys are also gun vendors, so it's in their business interest to get people to desire expensive products. I happen to own several tricked out "tactical" firearms, but I wouldn't use any of them for self defense, for the reasons you mentioned. I use them as range toys only. It's noteworthy that anti gun legislators always ban the exotic looking firearms first, even if those same politicians allow plain looking firearms that mechanically function the same.
Dor Aran Very true. I'm Canadian, and live in a city so I don't carry anything while in the city. Can't carry handguns, but Rifles are legal. Just if I got pulled over with my non restricted Type 97. Which is legal. They will just be cocks, and take their time running you through the system, try lecturing you etc. You could be stuck there for 45 mins and after that, because my city is small. They will basically ride your ass for anything. Not all. Pull you over for not signalling in time etc. Happened to a friend who had a Tavor in his truck. But if it's a bolt action, they really won't say anything. I don't carry anything, basically cause I'm more worried about some punk up here stealing it. Which happens a lot. But when I'm out at the ranch, I'll carry whatever. The RCMP out there for the most part don't give a shit. But these young guys just entering the force are the problem. So,e of them come from a Liberal city where guns are evil and jump out of safes and shoot ppl on there own. So to avoid the hassle I always have a Tikka in 270 win behind the seat, with the mag in the cubby hole. Just for shooting yotes. Not legal to shoot yotes from a truck, but you won't find anyone complaining. Still some guys carry handguns out in Ranchland. When I was younger, my family always had a 357 or what joy in the glove box... But not no more. It sucks donkey balls.
Tactical sights, polymer furniture configurations and flashlights all are iffy from a public view. But please, for the love of God, don't ever defend yourself with a suppressed firearm. You'll be seen as some sort of assassin by the jury and it gives people a sense of premeditation to your actions, even in self-defense.
Very true. I've been pulled out of my truck and sat on the curb when I had my AR in the truck, but had no problem when I was pulled over with a lever action in the back glass rack, because it doesn't look as scary or dangerous.. Appearance is a big deal when it comes to firearms.
I just bought my kel tec sub 2000 gen 2 chambered in 9mm and takes glock 19 mags, the kel tec sub 2000 folds in half and is accurate out to 150 yards consistently, at 150 yards the 9mm round out of the kel tec has the penetrating power of a 380 at 25 yards
+LongRange Bob How often do you shoot ? How often do you burn up mags ? How many mags do you need ? If the answer to all those is "not really that much" then just splurge on the Tavor. Unless you're arming an army you can't use two ARs at once anyways. Unless you're shooting hundred of rounds a week that extra ammo you "could" buy is meaningless.
USpatriot741776 Or like if you live in places like IL where you can't readily get an SBR, bull pups like the Tavor and Aug are the only way to get an SBR sized gun legally.
What I'm about to say won't be very popular, but I don't keep a gun in my truck unless I'm not out hunting or transporting to a range. To me, it's just another opportunity for a criminal to break into my truck and steal it. I could imagine there would be exceptions to the rule but not often for me. The second place I don't leave guns will really get me torched on here. I don't leave a gun next to my bed either when I'm not home. What I mean is my carry gun becomes my home defense gun. When I leave the house that gun in the night stand is nothing but a liability. The truth is most B&E's happen during the day while people are at work. I also don't want to come home early to find someone in my house aiming my gun at me. The way I look at it, if I can defend myself in the street with my carry gun I can do it at home.
I don't think you'll get much disagreement with that second point. I'd say, if what you have in a bedside safe doesn't become your carry gun when you head out, then lock it up in a much more secure, larger safe.
Do what you want, its your life. Just don't preach to other people (I'm NOT saying you are) and you will be just fine. Truth is I could care less if my gun gets stolen out of my car. I will just buy a new one. Criminals don't need my gun to shoot people, they can get plenty of their own. Its worth it for me to take that risk. As far as a break in, same thing, worth it to me. Allah forbid I forge to pull that gun back out of the safe at night and that's the night I need it.
You're in a parking garage and a few jihadi's with AK's and bomb belts have blocked the exit and plan to bring the building crashing down. Glad I have my truck gun!
+scuds03 seriously? .. you just fed the criminal system with another firearm .. how about put a locker in your front coat closet and remove the gun when not in the vehicle? .. added bonus? you now have a firearm at your front door every night... just turn a or press 4 keys... .. should be a federal law against leaving your gun in your car/truck/boat/plane overnight while you're sleeping
The FNH PS90 is not only a ideal "Truck Gun" it is an ideal Home Defense Gun for all of the reasons Eric mentioned. Another reason it is ideal for both applications is due to the fact that it isn't much louder than a .22LR when fired. It will not deafen one when fired indoors/Inside vehicle. The 5.7X28mm cartridge is effective. The U.S. Secret Service and multiple Protective Agencies all around the globe basically prove that. Also another reason is that the 5.7x28mm cartridge was designed to penetrate and cause lethal damage to "Soft" targets and yet at the same not over penetrate. There are a few different loads for 5.7x28mm available to the general public that have some varying results but ultimately they are all very effective at what they are designed to do. It is truly a Great little PDW hands down!
Wow, these are not truck guns... SMH... My thoughts on a real truck gun... 22 Rifle (Ruger 10/22 or Marlin), Pump action shotgun (MAV88, Mossberg 500, Remington 870), Rifles: Keltec sub 2000, Cheap AR or Mini 14... Something that works, but is cheap! (plus your pistol on your hip)
you boys are a joke. these guns cost more than my truck, the AK47 is ok but the one you have is a SBR and is a NFA item like sum of the others you have. a truck gun is a 30 30, .22 or a old 12ga pump.
As other people have said, I don't think I'd want to take the risk of losing an expensive firearm all because some jerk decides to break into or steal my car. Because of that, I think an SKS would be a rather affordable rifle that, if it gets lost for some reason, isn't that difficult or expensive to replace.
Where the hell am I gonna get most of these guns? They're not exactly at the local pawn shop/gun store or outdoor store like Academy. These may be the top 5 guns for a truck but not for your average joe.
The legal aftermath is irrelevant whether its an SBR or not. Don't let armchair lawyers confuse you into think using an NFA item in self defense somehow makes you more likely to be charged criminally.
Wow you guys have short memories wasn't long ago a man went to prison because he used a 10 mm in a legit self defense shoot and an ambitious DA painted him as a dangerous gun nut and a liberal Democrat jury bought it hook line and sinker. Because only a dangerous gun nut would carry the 10mm, right? I mean a reasonable person would only carry a .38 , 9mm or .45 .
Lucky Americans, up here in Canada we can have a gun in the car, but it has to be unloaded and out of sight (and that's just for long-guns, it's nothing compared to the hoops they make you jump through to even own a pistol) so it wouldn't be useful in most situations to always have a gun in the car. Make sure you guys keep fighting gun control, if not the practice of having a truck gun will be no more. I'd like to see this channel do a video on Canadian gun laws, I'm sure this channel has plenty of Canadian fans like myself and it would be interesting to see how they react to the gun laws of their closest neighbor, they already did an episode on Australian gun laws so i don't see why not.
Here in Georgia I ride around open carry condition 2. I then get out of my car, open carry, condition 2. 😋 Should SHTF I have my rifle in a press lock box in the rear of SUV.
Jesse Woolridge... most places in the U.S. You have to have it cased, unloaded, and sometimes in the trunk...unless your between cities, then depending on the state you can have a loaded rifle in the back seat, but never a loaded shotgun!
I disagree, I love americans and the gun-laws there. Ok, not in California or NY, but states like IL, TX, FL etc.etc. I'm from switzerland guys and we have also rights here to have or own guns. Thank god to living in a country to be able to have guns and to pretect myself if needed. if don't needed even better. but in case...you have it.
During WWII, The Nazis threatened to invade Switzerland through diplomatic means. That is, the German ambassador told the Swiss ambassador that he would overrun Switzerland's 1 million citizens with 2 million troops. The Swiss ambassador, unabashed, replied with a quip something along the lines of "Then I will instruct my citizens to shoot twice and go home" We love switzers too. You guys are awesome.
The only truck guns I'd ever consider for my truck are a topper 158, a Winchester 94 30-30, Remington 870 express, glock 40 or a mosin nagant. And I wouldn't have a bunch of tactical optics or tactical configurations, just plane Jane basic stuff.
REEL FISHING yep I agree my truck gun was a single shot 12 gauge cheep but versatile anything else and I cry when someone steals it these guys just like to be tacticool
Eric hit the nail on the head right there about I.S I live in the UK I can only own a sub 12 foot pounds air rifle now my argument with my friends is I think we need an update to our gun laws because I've always said American has no fear of invasion because so many of its citizens own guns and are quite prepared to go out and defend their homeland we on the other hand over here in the UK and Europe have to put our safety in others hands
I've lived in way more states than most people and I would highly recommend avoiding the South. There's a lot of.....criminals, it's hot as hell, most people have the IQ of a pigeon, drivers are horrendous, the list goes on and on. I would recommend avoiding any state east of the Mississippi River. Just keep going west until you see "Welcome to California" and then you'll know you've gone too far...
@@kingtut8367 i have been wanting to move to arizona for awhile, hows the employment rate over there, i know housing is cheaper than than where i live in Washington state, a 1 bed 1 bath is $1,250 minimum unless you want to live in the hood lmao
Employment is good. Of course it all depends on what your occupation is. 1250 would get you a nice place outside of the hood lol. Other than the excessive heat, phx is perfect
+Jan You know what you can do for the time being, carry a tourniquet and small med kit. It could be used to save you or others, and not just in an act of violence.
I got a truck gun that’s a dam a single shot 20 gauge get it loaded with a slug I also got a shell sleeve on it with some buckshot stays in a little built-in safe
I wish people would stop using the terminology of "truck gun" or "burner gun" for firearms to be left in vehicles. As a police officer for over 20 years, I have experienced so many problems with this philosophy. I am totally for the God given right of private citizens to carry firearms on their person and in their vehicles, but leaving a firearm in a vehicle when you're not present in that vehicle or have good dominion and control over it, is just stupid. Our officers get dispatched to firearms stolen out of vehicles at least once a week. Those firearms are now in the hands of criminals and being used in crimes. Why would any responsible person leave a firearm in a vehicle when they don't have control over the vehicle? People like that are arming criminals. Keep them in your residence. The rate of home burglaries is soooo much lower than that of thefts from vehicles. Just behind shoplifting in reported larceny occurrences. Please stop encouraging people to leave firearms in vehicles. It is stupid. Thank you.
As a 28yr FEd LEo I totally agree with you except for I thing that I'm finding out more and more everyday, alot of citizens work in an area that doesn't allow them to carry firearms on their person and their subject to termination if this is found out by their employer. They still have to work in a high-crime area and are subject to becoming victims, my solution, I tell the citizen to know the manual of arms for their firearm and before you leave you vehicle, take the slide with the barrel and recoil spring off the firearm and just leave the frame. Put the top half in your purse or bag or whatever and you legally and technically do not have a firearm on your person, yet, if your vehicle gets stolen the thug doesn't have a working firearm to commit a crime with as most of these dumb ass criminals don't even know how to break a pistol down yet alone build it back up. Just a thought.............................................................................
Hmm, that's an interesting point, and one I hadn't considered before. What state are you referring to? I have heard, many times before, that firearms used in crimes--one of the many means of acquiring them--was by stealing them. I was not aware that they could be taken from a vehicle.
I think the Kriss Vector deserved to be in this list. I have a SBR version of it, with osprey suppressor, and I consider it the best cqb gun there is. Nothing beats it for quick, accurate shooting with next to no recoil and 45acp stopping power. Anything engagement under 50 yards. Beyond those ranges, does it really sound like a scenario that warrants the moniker 'truck gun'?
kriss vector is an idiotic choice as a truck gun. way too expensive, for a very specific purpose and makes you look like a hitman. appearence of the gun makes a lot in how police, public etc. react to you. a lever action is functional and looks harmless, so does a pump action shotgun, mini 14 etc. and should you find yourself in front of a court for whatever reason, you are absolutely screwed with a tacticool weapon with silencer.
1.) AK-47 pistol (with/without folding stock) 2.) AR Pistol,(with brace) 3.) Kel-tec Sub2000 4.) Maverick 88 Shotgun 5.) SD9VE pistol if you want a standard type handgun
A top 5 CA Legal firearms would be nice! we have a pretty limited choice and it's really hard to find a nice rifle since they all have bullet buttons. For example the M1A is a great rifle to have over here since you don't need a bullet button ( cause it doesn't have a pistol grip )
Was this video even serious? I normally love your videos, but honestly, for the most part these are not realistic truck guns. The Tavor, KSG, Beneli and the PS90 are too expensive for putting in your vehicle, not to mention somewhat impractical. As far as the SBR, that's just dumb. I would never use an NFA weapon specifically to defend myself, much less keep one in my vehicle. Guys, you came from humble, practical, beginnings. Please don't turn in to crazy, over-the-top, "gunfighters".
And I'm not ever going to say anything about Chad's tacti-cool AR rig that they're trying to pass off as a "truck gun". It looks like Chad took the "Ultimate Mall Ninja AR" a bit too seriously. I bet he's never used or much less practiced to use half the crap he's got hanging off that thing. I'm not trying to hate or be mean, but what happened to a simple rig the only has what you need and nothing you don't?
+Nate Roberts I agree with you, I hate over the top videos like this. Everybody these days has this Hollywood/Call of Duty fantasy. I like watching his videos until I see shit like this and his "5 things you need in your car" video. Only part I disagree with you is I'd use an NFA weapon to defend myself. I obtained it legally and if my life was in danger I would not care. Once my stamp gets here my 300Blk SBR will be my bedside gun.
KSG can be bought new on gunbrokers for $650. I got my almost new ksg from there for $600 with a red dot and sling. It's a awesome gun. One of my favorite ones to shoot. Not too expensive. The benelli M4 is ridiculous in price...
This is exactly how I feel after seeing this video. They have done a few videos like this where I feel like they are more showing off than actually being practical.
It’s like the old phrase I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. I want to be prepared than like you said “ begging for my life”. I agree and loved the video, thanks guys.
10mm Glock G20 and an 7.62 AK with a good, usable folding stock is ALWAYS in my truck loaded up and ready to rock in addition to my CCW weapon. I have a few of each now so I do rotate them and give the Truck gun a chance to get some love but if it's in the truck it's "in service" and it doesn't get taken out for "fun time", it stays close at hand ready to go loud at a moments notice.
+Sam Wagner It will. Look at the velocity difference between a 2" or 4" revolver barrel, and an 16"+ rifle barrel when firing .357. It'll fuck up any BG's day.
One thing you guys didn’t mention is the stagecoach! That was the original truck gun with one riding shotgun… with a shotgun. Short barreled rifles came about because robbers knew to put a gun in the drivers face for passenger couldn’t swing shotgun around without shooting driver 💯
Every one of those weapons are darn expensive and if used to drop someone, you’ll never get it back from the police whether it’s ruled a good shoot or not. Not saying it wouldn’t be worth it to save your life or someone else’s but there are less expensive choices that are solid choices out there and won’t hurt your feelings so much when you don’t get it back.
I've heard a lot of negative things about the Kel-tek KSG. I don't know if they have fixed some of it's issues, but that being said, I would be very hesitant to buy one.
The only people who complain about it pump it with a limp wrist. They don't know how to pump a shotgun or are retarded and are intimidated by new weapons. Pretty much, guys who like 1911s will talk shit on something new and innovative. They're like the guys who told Henry Ford to sell horse and carriages.
+YourAnus MyPee It's actually because the thing would lock up every other shell. Kel Tec has cool designs but their QC is terrible and it takes them a while to fix it.
Michael Kennedy Kel-Tek seems to be a very polarizing company. Some people swear by them, and others won't touch them. What can't be denied is that their products have been plagued by QC issues for years. I've wanted to get a sub 2000 for a while now, but I've read so many negative stories that I'm afraid to buy one. I work VERY hard for the money that I have, and I don't want to end up wasting any of it on a lemon.
b brady can't go wrong with a AK brother most reliable gun in my opinion One of my buddies who is a US Marine even said if he was allowed to he would fight in the war with the AK-47 instead of AR-15
Tavor? KSG? SBR AK? Not what I'd call truck guns. The ideal truck gun is a not-so-expensive carbine or shotgun. Why wasn't the mini 14 or the SU-16 even mentioned at all? Or maybe a Henry lever action? Furthermore, why spend thousands of dollars on a shotgun for the truck when an 870 works just fine? I know you guys are trying to sell guns and that's cool, but people are looking to you here for information, not a commercial.
Nice array of truck guns. I still keep the ol' Mini 14 behind the backseat and the 92F I bought in '82 stashed in the cab.....oldies but still goodies.
Sawyer For ar I’d be hesitant on a 1911 for a truck there kinda pricey need something that cheap and works like the new sigma series smith and Wesson sd9 and sd40 ve pistols
Just met a guy from Texas while out at the range. He was on vacation and hanging out with a buddy. Months prior he had his SCAR stolen from his truck in Texas... Total head scratcher...
Muito interessante. Gosto muito do Tavor (apesar de nunca ter manuseado um). Uma pena as leis brasileiras serem tão ruins quanto à aquisição de armas para defesa.
a veteran will tell you a .22 can put down a man all you need to know is the proper placement to get a kill. a few shots even in not lethal areas is gonna sting
Of course an idiot with his idiotic sarcasm. I'm just saying that even a .22 can kill a man so you shouldn't worry about small calibers just the placement. And a .223 is basically a .22 so you do get issued those. .223/.556 m4
I just admire you guys so much, I hope here in Colombia the law makers would take some example from the US, the president ordered to ban legal gun carrying the hole year and that just made people defenseless against the common crime
With the times as they are, I go prepared all of the time. When I was in high school in the 60's everyone had a gun in their pickup, and a lot of people also had something in their car. Most guys had a .22lr semi-auto in their rear window gun rack in their pickup. When pheasant season rolled around their favorite shotgun would join it. Once there was a deer season, their deer rifle would replace the .22lr. AND WE NEVER LOCKED OUR VEHICLES.
Cephas Martin your telling you age now they would call out the swat team or some crack head would break you window out and steal you toys for their next fix
This is fucking insane. From a UK citizen point of view, I have never stopped at a red light and thought "i could really use an SMG here in case someone tries to rob me". Jesus! However if I ever moved to the US I would for sure buy a shit load of guns
Look up blm protests and say that. That's like saying, from a US citizen's point of view, I couldn't imagine the police coming into my home to check to see if I have a tv permit to allow me to watch a soccer game. I can't imagine having to let a scumbag rape my wife/daughter/gf or face assault charges (or her letting it happen to avoid charges) for trying to stop him. That is really insane. Different country and rights, or lack thereof in your case.
Crockagater you seriously think that in the UK you couldn't intervene if someone was being raped for fear of prosecution? Where do you get your information on UK current affairs? Obviously from a reputable source right? Do you realise how unutterably stupid and uninformed your comment is? The mind boggles.
I hope guys carrying loaded Tavor's and PS90's in their trunk are just as 'prepared' for the car wreck with the lady in the SUV looking at her cellphone as they are for these insane Red Dawn wet dream scenarios... You packing a roll cage in your car? Your faaaaaaar more likely to make use of it than your truck gun. Food for thought...
I keep a fire extinguisher in case of a fire. I don't plan on it but it might happen. And its required safety item. Do you think I should leave it at home because I am being paranoid about fires?
TheHortond ; Years back a city bus ran into a vehicle in front of it on the freeway. There was one young girl who was pinned in the vehicle. Many people tried to get her out without success. The vehicle caught fire . That poor girl was burned alive. I can still remember the guy who said he tried to get her out. He cried. No one had a fire extinguisher.
Yeah, well that's why there are Top 5 Roll Cages, Top 5 Shovels, and Top 5 Fire Extinguishers videos... y'all are in the wrong place. The is Top 5 Over $1000 Guns That You Pray to God Don't Get Stolen From Your Truck if You Park Outside Your Gated Community video. jeez 😜
(Seriously... I love IV8888... but "truck guns?" For most folks, a PS90, Benelli, AK, Tavor, or maybe even KSG will be one of the nicest guns-- if not THE nicest gun in their collection. More like safe queen than truck gun... a real truck gun is something you pack onboard your vehicle, costs a few hundred bucks at MOST...so if it gets jacked, it's not a grand+ you're losing... and ya don't care if it gets bashed around, dirty, fired and not cleaned, or borrowed by a friend...and that can put hit roadkill out of suffering. Truck gun: Mossberg 500 or Mav88 or any cheap pump, KelTec Sub2K...maybe an SU-16... a cheap WASR/Polish/Yugo AK, a Del-Ton, Olympic or DPMS AR... a Hi-Point Carbine... any number of Savage bolts, Marlin 30-30s, or used beat up Mini-14 or M1 .30Carbine junkers... truck guns. 🤓)
Back in Louisiana and Southeast Texas where my people are from, a "truck gun" was a weapon that packed a wallop and was in good mechanical order, but that one didn't mind rattling around on the floorboards of the old truck and getting a bit scuffed and banged up, and that if it got stolen it wouldn't represent the theft of a major asset. I've seen old lever guns, Garands (before they got so pricy), M1 Carbines (same), SKSs, old Argentinian Mausers, etc.
Here's my list: QBZ-97 Mossberg 500/Ithaca 37 Defender Norinco M305 SKS I don't really get all this messing around with expensive guns and optics. If my car gets stolen I don't want to lose a nice firearm as well. If you just have to have a red dot, get a Vortex SPARC II; its clear and damn durable (and again, you're not breaking the bank to replace one if something does happen to it). I've dropped mine on gravel and paved roads, banged it against trees, and tossed it around, and it's never even flinched. When it comes to accuracy, the majority of us just aren't at a level where we're shooting past our gun's mechanical accuracy. I'd like to get there someday, but until then I'm not going to start dropping money on anything fancy like a Gieselle trigger for a Tavor.
1.Tac-14/Mossberg Shockwave 2. Kriss Vector (10mm) folding stock 3. Literally any 12 gauge 4. HK-45 (or any decent caliber handgun with a good mag cap lol)
the Ruger 10/22 charger is a great $300 truck gun. they come with a bipod and 2 15-round mags. I added a compact scope with laser. it's lightweight, compact, very accurate, wife can use it if need be, low recoil. very dependable no issues so far. short enough you can tuck it under a seat if needed. Eats up high velocity ammo so great for self defense or distance shooting for whatever reason you may have.
I'm french guys and I don't consider you as paranoid! I've always thought that every citizen (registered, trained, mentally and judicially ok) could have the choice to hold at least a CCW in some scenarios. Anyway, like your videos guys and Eric your t-shirt rocks!
In PA you can not. Most states you can not. In PA without a ccw you can only transport to and from 5 locations. Gun range, hunting, ffl, secondary residence, and turn in location. And we are an open carry state.
when out hunting we always run around with our guns loaded but if we get pulled over we always let the law enforcement know we have loaded guns in the vehicle so they can feel safe when we are pulled over and most cops have really been appreciative of it too!
I’m in Mississippi we have the “best” gun laws in my opinion you can carry a shotgun in your passenger seat not 100% sure if you can keep a round in the chamber but you can keep it loaded without question.
Sorry for butchering english language.
dont apologise, your english is probably better than most americans, rather at least you try to get it right.
fuck America don't be jealous they people a trash and its not as free as you think
Ukraine already has a lot of Yahoos running around with guns, wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people which they had firearms as well.
VW Gaming that comment was chalk full of gay.. a bit overcompensating are we?
Albino Gorilla my mouth is like a pink/red color you dullard.. fuck your a dolt...
I wouldn't keep a $2000 gun in my $900 truck. Maybe do a budget truck gun video.
dam straight
a good budget gun for truck is a hi-point carbine
+Robert Nunziata i was just about to say that
How about your single shot 20 gauge sawed off barrel to the wood and cut off pistol grip out of the stock sand down barrel and you can run any shell out of it make your own cut off slugs or throw in rock salt any thing also for the ability to shoot more than 1 shit see double barrels side by side or over under or do it with a pump gun but it will be a bit bigger
+Robert Nunziata no its not, im not trusting my life on a hi-point. and im a cheap ass.
Get a mossberg maverick 99
Used mossberg is the best way to go
I'd have to agree even though the first poster spelled the name worse than a fart butt doodoo head
just buy a maverick model 88 12gauge shotgun. they are $189
Mav 88 and a lever 3030 Marlin or Winchester. Go to set up.
Americans are not paranoid. Americans are cautious.
That's why I keep an M240 SLR and a ballistics shield in my truck.

As a Brit I've never once considered you fellas to be paranoid, prepared perhaps but never paranoid.
checkout the police shooting unarmed folk rate......a sure sign of paranoia, the usa cops kill more (westerners) than isis, due to fact any idiot may be armed to teeth. and also just coz u r paranoid doesnt mean some twit isnt gonna shoot you.
+ajttambo yes, a few times....once as an 8 year old then a couple of times as an adult.
+Bryan Pinto usa cops killed at least 1000 people in 2015. many of them unarmed or not presenting a threat. this is not because they were all asshole cops, but because they are paranoid......and with good reason, with all sorts of nuts wandering around armed to teeth, legally or otherwise.
You sir know what you are talking about.
+thedisturbedfan21 Nothing wrong with a 30-30! If I could find a 336 under $300, I'd buy it on the spot.
$300 for a lever action 30-30? He must have bought that in the 80s or 90s lol. Plus I haven't seen 3030 ammo here in Texas since before the pandemic
Excellent.
+Evan B haha, nice. I think p90 is fine, but not with that long ass barrel!
another nice point about an sks rifle is they are loaded with stripper clips so in states where you cant have your rifle loaded you just have the rifle in there unloaded with a stripper clip pouch in the truck and in seconds you can have a ready to go firearm instead of rifles like AR15s where you would have to load the mags then put the mag in the gun i know in my state it isnt legal to have a full mag in your car but it is legal to have rounds on stripper clips in your car
An SKS ain't cheap anymore.i see russian ones for $500 stock and chinese $400 they used to be $200. I bought an SKSM few years ago that came with an underfolding stock for $350.
SKS aint cheap anymore. Thise things demand 600 bucks! WTF?!?!? How did the SKS become a high priced weapon???
When I think of truck gun, I think of pump shotgun or lever action in the window rack. Those were the good old days, you could drive to school with three or four guns and a fishing pole in plain view of the back window and not take any grief over it. What happened?
Camping Out Of Debt having dumb uneducated people that know nothing about guns then they make laws about them.
Didn’t know fishin poles cause grief
@@TheCMranch1 fishing poleS, no. If you only have one, then you're probably being exploited by the elitists.
Democrats happened
Maverick 88 pistol grip 18.5" all the way!
Same here.
Yeah I have to agree. This video was beyond ridiculous. A truck gun is a reliable beater not some overpriced safe queen to impress my friends. Geez.
Nice choice!
Im thinking more of an SKS, cheap 30-30, or HiPoint 995TS. I wouldnt like the idea of leaving an expensive gun in my truck
A cheap surplus rifle could be perfect as long as it's short enough
@@icey_penguino472 not true for the carbines
Great choices.
A low cost firearm is probably best for a vehicle. I dont want to dump 2k for it to get stolen if someone breaks into my truck. not to mention, its gonna be VERY rare that someones in a situation like that (not saying its impossible, just very unlikely).
Chase Martindale I keep a cheap 38 in my truck
This should be the companion video to 'Top 5 stolen guns'.
On God 😂
Lol yeah, I'll conceal carry the only time id have a long gun in my truck is if I'm going to hog hunt and it's usually nearby
***** Thank you for your personal insite.
Appearance is a big deal when it comes to firearms.
really surprised there isn't a keltec sub 2000
I just bought my kel tec sub 2000 gen 2 chambered in 9mm and takes glock 19 mags, the kel tec sub 2000 folds in half and is accurate out to 150 yards consistently, at 150 yards the 9mm round out of the kel tec has the penetrating power of a 380 at 25 yards
I really want a Tavor, but that is hard to justify when I can buy 2 AR's, a pile of mags, and ammo for the cost of one.
+LongRange Bob Yeah maybe 2 shitty AR's
+LongRange Bob 1600 is a little steep but for me the size and avoidance of having to sbr something outweighs the cons.
USpatriot741776 Or like if you live in places like IL where you can't readily get an SBR, bull pups like the Tavor and Aug are the only way to get an SBR sized gun legally.
+drtrolish duck tape and some 550 cord says I can indeed use two AR's at once.
+drtrolish Where do you park?
Get a tactical walls product shelf in the bedroom to conceal a long gun.
Both good statements.
Somebody breaks in the truck your $500-$1000 investment is gone.
+katyrebel18 Lock it down. Sure it won't protect against a readied person, but it will stop a quick grab.

+scuds03 seriously? .. you just fed the criminal system with another firearm .. how about put a locker in your front coat closet and remove the gun when not in the vehicle? .. added bonus? you now have a firearm at your front door every night... just turn a or press 4 keys...

It is truly a Great little PDW hands down!

they did it already.
Ruger 10/22, .22 cal pistol, S&W Model 19, Westernfield M150D, pump action .12 or .20 gauge
These are truck guns for your 100k truck not a truck cheaper than most these guns
you boys are a joke. these guns cost more than my truck, the AK47 is ok but the one you have is a SBR and is a NFA item like sum of the others you have. a truck gun is a 30 30, .22 or a old 12ga pump.

here in Washington, you can't use the PAP as a truck gun with a stock. I recommend the kak arm brace.

Chad said "I'd rather be thought of as a "nut", then to be begging for my life"
I second that sediment
If you're deploying a weapon in true defense of your life, then whether or not it's an SBR is not even a remote consideration.
BigChill True, but you will have to deal with the legal aftermath if you live. Jail time.
Scarlett Luger - The possibility of jail time after a deadly situation does not factor into my consideration of life-saving equipment.
The legal aftermath is irrelevant whether its an SBR or not. Don't let armchair lawyers confuse you into think using an NFA item in self defense somehow makes you more likely to be charged criminally.
Stephen McNichol HAHAHAHABULL$HITHAHA!!!!
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

It would be better if you could, because you could defend yourself and others in any kind of situation.
you should do a five guns for anti gun states
I got a truck gun that’s a dam a single shot 20 gauge get it loaded with a slug I also got a shell sleeve on it with some buckshot stays in a little built-in safe
budget truck guns these are too expensive
That's a great idea. Thank you for the post. Stay safe, brother.
Thank you. I don't leave my phone in my car, I sure wouldn't leave my gun in my car.
JPDNINJA thank you for your service!
Remy Martin I had a question, is the kriss vector made of full metal? Like the aks.....
Anita Cardoza the moving parts are metal. The body, stock and grip are polymer. Typical modern gun.
Remy Martin, thanks for the reply..!
True, but if I could afford it I would not be driving a Ford.
kriss vector is an idiotic choice as a truck gun. way too expensive, for a very specific purpose and makes you look like a hitman. appearence of the gun makes a lot in how police, public etc. react to you. a lever action is functional and looks harmless, so does a pump action shotgun, mini 14 etc. and should you find yourself in front of a court for whatever reason, you are absolutely screwed with a tacticool weapon with silencer.
1.) AK-47 pistol (with/without folding stock)
2.) AR Pistol,(with brace)
3.) Kel-tec Sub2000
4.) Maverick 88 Shotgun
5.) SD9VE pistol if you want a standard type handgun
Hmm... If I had to choose from my collection:
1) DB-10 .308
2) AR Pistol 300 BLK
3) Winchester Marine Defender 12 ga
4) AP5
5) SD9VE
Micro draco for the win fellas, don't know why they didn't put it on here
A top 5 CA Legal firearms would be nice! we have a pretty limited choice and it's really hard to find a nice rifle since they all have bullet buttons. For example the M1A is a great rifle to have over here since you don't need a bullet button ( cause it doesn't have a pistol grip )
same with a saiga 762x39 no bullet button
They might just all be BB guns to be honest
can you guys have a ruger Mini 14?
+Sippi Ammo Yes, they can. No pistol grip or 'evil' features = good to go with no bullet button.
+Porty1119 what's the "bullet button" is that the mag release or the safety selector?
Eric what do you think of the HK 51?
+Tactical A WILD TAC APPEARED
+Tactical Oh hey, :)
+Tactical It's called The Dragon for a reason. I have a 53 that throws a flame and is louder than hell, I cannot imagine a 51....
H&Ks until the end of days! how about 308 with a 30 rounder :)
astrodudepsu fun as hell!
What about the combo .38/.357 and a level action rifle in the same caliber?
+studinthemaking Just not tacticool enough for these two tacticool guys!
+Sam Wagner Shoot a .357 magnum full powered load out of an 18" barrel and from 0-100 yds your target will feel it.
+Sam Wagner It will. Look at the velocity difference between a 2" or 4" revolver barrel, and an 16"+ rifle barrel when firing .357. It'll fuck up any BG's day.
A truck gun needs to have a low price point for me....a tavor meet that requirement lol
Doesnt*
hipoint or phoenix arms lol under 200 bucks! video should be truck guns for rich people
+762x39warrior i dont like the phoenix due to the double safety's and dubious reliability...
Some may ask "why carry a gun when you don't expect to get into a gun fight." I don't expect a fire, but I still have a fire extinguisher.
well you're an idiot. everyone should expect fire in a petrol or other flammable fuelled, vehicle.
+rahowhero I was more talking in my house, but it's always nice to be prepared.
+sleeperfox302x true, and I apologise for calling u an idiot.
apologie accepted
+sleeperfox302x this is how the internet should work. Look how civilized that was.
Where am i driving my truck, Detroit? All i need is my 20 gauge, side arm, or hunting rifle. Never leave them loaded
Its really not that bad in detroit. I work ems there, it can be a little hairy in some areas but for the most part i feel safe
we will be sure to leave that phrase on your tombstone. "never leave them loaded"
I've heard a lot of negative things about the Kel-tek KSG. I don't know if they have fixed some of it's issues, but that being said, I would be very hesitant to buy one.
The newer ones are good to go
The only people who complain about it pump it with a limp wrist.
+Nick Joslin I've never had an issue with my KSG, Sub-2000s, PLR-13, or PMR. If you clean them they work. They aren't glocks, but they're great.
I keep my AK-47 in my truck and my Glock 26 at my side
Ricky Garza always ready. I like the way you think. I got my 26 on me. still looking for the AK for my truck
b brady can't go wrong with a AK brother most reliable gun in my opinion One of my buddies who is a US Marine even said if he was allowed to he would fight in the war with the AK-47 instead of AR-15
Get a VZ58 with the folding stock. It'll fit anywhere.
J Tetlow absolutely second the VZ58. much better than an ak, with the only exception being the availability of the stuff to mount on.
@@Genesis23OPB vz58 cost way too much for a truck/trunk gun almost 1200 is far to much for that purpose. nice to have but wouldnt use for this.
"It's just everyday carry, but for your truck" that is the most southern thing I've ever heard!
i been watching yalls channel for years now, and still i see nothing but experience knowledge and practical fire arm theories.
good on ya gentlemen
Tavor? KSG?
Jason Turner heck a mossberg lever action 30-30 is cheaper than even the marlin 30-30’s
'They kick the ever-loving piss out of you' Eric. :)
WELL THAT ESCALATED QUICKIY
anyone else see it?
Nice array of truck guns. I still keep the ol' Mini 14 behind the backseat and the 92F I bought in '82 stashed in the cab.....oldies but still goodies.
While i may have many firearms, i still tend to grab my old m1 carbine paratrooper. Very underated and often forgotten.
Nice list though.
If I drove round with a gun in my car in my country I'd get 15 years in jail lol
what country are you from?
unless they searched your vehicle you would never get caught though
or if he used it for self defense
Are you from California?
Cabaret Macabre lol
do you think a hand grenade is good for home defense ?or should I go with the javelin ?lmk
isaias roman I would go with the javelin because most Wal-Mart's have stopped stocking hand grenades.
yeah get javelin and stinger for air defense from cops
Grenade for a gang and if you don't like your house
Both
Or, a 30-30 and a 1911
Sawyer For ar I’d be hesitant on a 1911 for a truck there kinda pricey need something that cheap and works like the new sigma series smith and Wesson sd9 and sd40 ve pistols
Just met a guy from Texas while out at the range. He was on vacation and hanging out with a buddy. Months prior he had his SCAR stolen from his truck in Texas... Total head scratcher...
The taurus judge with a variety of ammo is a great choice. .45 lc for long shots, bird shot for varmints, buck shot for protection.
Muito interessante. Gosto muito do Tavor (apesar de nunca ter manuseado um). Uma pena as leis brasileiras serem tão ruins quanto à aquisição de armas para defesa.
My only issue is with the king of the hill there. No way I'm trusting the 5.7x28 as a man stopper regardless of how many rounds it holds.
a veteran will tell you a .22 can put down a man all you need to know is the proper placement to get a kill. a few shots even in not lethal areas is gonna sting
Jacob Infante I didn't realize they issued you .22s excuse me.
Of course an idiot with his idiotic sarcasm. I'm just saying that even a .22 can kill a man so you shouldn't worry about small calibers just the placement. And a .223 is basically a .22 so you do get issued those. .223/.556 m4
Jacob Infante 5.6x15mmR is not nearly as big as 5.56x45mm.
5.56x45mm is just a 62 grain bullet going really fast.
5.7x28mm is roughly the same bullet going a bit slower.
A Draco is a good gun right??
Help Me yeah it's reliable
I disagree with your choices, but love your videos.
I just admire you guys so much, I hope here in Colombia the law makers would take some example from the US, the president ordered to ban legal gun carrying the hole year and that just made people defenseless against the common crime
a mosin nagant is a good cheap rifle
Trent TV bolt action tho
It has its ups and downs
zeee kalouska A bolt action will get the job done like any other gun, it only takes 1 bullet to get the job done.
I could squeeze 2 in
Trent TV it's also long af
I would rather have a maverick 88 in the car over a 500 because if it gets stolen it's not that much money lost.
How would any of these be practical besides the glock
I’m def on the left side of politics but not when it comes to firearms, y’all are awesome I love these 5 gun videos.
Smg? There isn't a single smg in the video
Stone's Garage -DFW a few of the guns in the video (e.g. the PS90) are civilian versions of PDWs or SMGs. Maybe that was his reasoning.
Steven Bobby Bills i know it was lol
I hope guys carrying loaded Tavor's and PS90's in their trunk are just as 'prepared' for the car wreck with the lady in the SUV looking at her cellphone as they are for these insane Red Dawn wet dream scenarios... You packing a roll cage in your car? Your faaaaaaar more likely to make use of it than your truck gun. Food for thought...
I agree. I've had more use for the shovels, bag of tools, and air compressor in my truck than the shotgun behind the seat.
Here's my list:
QBZ-97
Mossberg 500/Ithaca 37 Defender
Norinco M305
SKS
I don't really get all this messing around with expensive guns and optics.
1.Tac-14/Mossberg Shockwave
2. Kriss Vector (10mm) folding stock
3. Literally any 12 gauge
My truck gun is my mossberg 590 shockwave. 👍
pistol with a brace is better because as you said with a ccw you can keep it loaded, sbr you can not, same with a bullpup.
Kevin Anderson depends on the state in texas you can have a loaded long gun without any permit
In PA you can not. Most states you can not. In PA without a ccw you can only transport to and from 5 locations. Gun range, hunting, ffl, secondary residence, and turn in location. And we are an open carry state.
A .357 lever-action has served me well.
Hungarian underfolder (parts kit and barrel under $350) with a couple 73 round drums and 6 of the 30 rounders.
the best yt videos about guns are from Eric and his platoon!! best and very "teachable" videos in the world!!! RESPECT FROM CROATIA!!! Tango Yankee!!
Awesome video as usual. there aren't many people that I can listen too for that long talking about guns!
when out hunting we always run around with our guns loaded but if we get pulled over we always let the law enforcement know we have loaded guns in the vehicle so they can feel safe when we are pulled over and most cops have really been appreciative of it too!
I’m in Mississippi we have the “best” gun laws in my opinion you can carry a shotgun in your passenger seat not 100% sure if you can keep a round in the chamber but you can keep it loaded without question.
I laughed so hard when I saw the P90 "you can go a little wild and just shoot from your window, maybe kill a couple of sivilians"
