If you can properly rev match then its mostly fine, however this guy can't and you can hear the engine screaming to come back up to the right revs.

Dipende anche dalle gomme, se hai su delle semislick si fa sicuramente più fatica, poi non penso volesse rischiare su questa strada
But I will say everything about this is beautiful the landscapes the roads the car the sounds the absolute calmness and smoothness of your driving and shifting..pure ecstacy

What are you talking about? You need to hit those hairpins on 1st. Plus the STI trans has good gear ratio.
@@ProjectBenjamin Just That the car has easily enough torque and an uprated clutch to take the hairpins in second and is still running a standard turbo so cant be much time saved changing down,not the only one if you scroll down comments.
@@JohnnyMQB Nah at that slow speed you wouldn’t have enough boost on second gear to slingshot you out of the turn.
@@ProjectBenjamin Seems to pull fine in 2nd at 5:18 anyway it's his gearbox just not something i would do.

How is it possible that he can put it in a first gear at that speed 2:45 ? I cant even put it in when im going 10km/h lol
Rev your engine while you are downshiftinf, so revs match closer between crankshaft and tranny, that's how you are able to downshift from higher speeds. You can actually hear when he press gas pedal just before applying first gear. And make sure your gearbox oil is right. If you put GL5 oil in GL4 gearbox, you will have bad time changing gears.

I was surprised that some corners were driven in 2nd gear. I never drove a wrx, but i think in almost every corner the 1st gear is not needed.

Depends on who’s building it and the parts you’re throwing in it. It varies... create your own spreadsheet, that’s the best way to find out.

You need to do some updates on your knowledge base. That’s at least a 2015. Subi. Do some research on synchromesh and other new transmission tech. My 13 has this as well.

Because accelerating in 2nd uphill from being almost at a complete stop is inappropriate in this circumstance. He's trying to get back into boost due to braking alot going into turns super slowly out of caution. And rightfully so due to all those cyclists on the road.

The way he holds the steering wheel is so casual. You can tell he's a master at this. When you see other videos where folks drive their cars, they're holding on to the steering wheel for dear life and the roads are not as dangerous as the one in the vid.
