Looks like I’m gonna be picking one of these up soon, my holes wallowed out haha
Just finished installing left the axle under the jeep cutting was the hardest part fit perfect and very solid if its installed properly.
I just finished welding one of these in. I did it with the axle in the vehicle. I took my time cutting the old bracket but it's fairly simple. One tip though, if you're using an aftermarket track bar, drill out the holes before you install it to 1/2 inch and use a beefier bolt.
literally what I did, I bought a 3/4 x 5/8 heim with 1/2 spacer and drilled out to 1/2 on my existing bracket at the axle.. I think im going to order this and weld it up the old bracket seems fatigued.
just ordered one, glad you did this video I like the like look of your bracket, stock one is a real turd
I’m buying one
you guys got anything for the JL, same issue, wallowed out bolt hole.
do you ship to canada i would love one of these for my tj
Will this work on a wj and whats the price for this
good work guys looks great, love the room you leave so you can get a wrench in the back. I do have a question, would you be willing to make one of these brackets without predrilled holes? I got tired of bad bushings and couldnt find another bushing for my aftermarket track bar so I cut and welded on a heim. the heim is 3/4 x 5/8 with adapters for a 1/2 bolt. i suppose i could just ream out the predrilled holes but wanted to see what you guys thought as I wouldnt want two holes just one larger.
We designed these with drilling the hole larger in mind, and purposely left extra material there for that. We make them in large production runs though, so there isn't an easy way to customize one.
Great design. It looks like something that we might have to add. Do you end up with any additional travel on the track bar?
We contoured it as closely as possible to the shape of the spring bucket and stabilizer bracket, but there's not a lot of material that can go away without losing the stabilizer bracket so probably not a huge gain in travel without some grinding. I figure it's safer to have the option of keeping everything in place for those who want it, and those who don't can use that grinder they used to remove the stock bracket to make more room. Using the second hole would get you more angle than stock for sure though.
What kind of cutting tool did u use to cut off the bracket?
Grinder with a cutoff wheel, little bit of sawzall, plasma cutter would work too.
Is this a good idea for a daily driver\weekend warrior?
Absolutely. Having the track bar bracket get sloppy is one of the most common causes of death wobble which is the biggest problem when driving on the road.
Where's Chassis?
Sleeping somewhere.
