I live in the north of Spain and there are some traditional events throughout the year, specially at Carnival, where people do dress like that (with faceless suits, masks with horns and stuff of that nature) and behave weird, they chase each other, they use weird clothes and they also have smoking cauldrons and stuff. In fact we have a cave the legend says had witches at some point too. During the public events they prepare they recreate legends of animals and people with animal heads, they do loud noises and they use huge cowbells to create them too. In fact, it is also common to burn stuff in different times of the year, like giant sculptures in Fallas, old stuff from homes for San Juan, doll characters that represent thieves and such in the north of the country. This is nothing. Maybe this is a European thing though, here there are all sorts of weird events and fiestas like this all the time.

If this scares you, you haven’t seen shit in life. I live in the north of Spain and there are some traditional events throughout the year, specially at Carnival, where people do dress like that (with faceless suits, masks with horns and stuff of that nature) and behave weird, they chase each other, they use weird clothes and they also have smoking cauldrons and stuff. In fact we have a cave the legend says had witches at some point too. During the public events they prepare they recreate legends of animals and people with animal heads, they do loud noises and they use huge cowbells to create them too. In fact, it is also common to burn stuff in different times of the year, like giant sculptures in Fallas, old stuff from homes for San Juan, doll characters that represent thieves and such in the north of the country. This is nothing. Maybe this is a European thing though, here there are all sorts of weird events and fiestas like this all the time.
