  • Pushing the limits of the Tucktec kayak by taking it out on the river with wind speeds of at least 20 mph. Anchored, fished and paddled in these rough conditions; survived a rocky ride with some wet pants. Caught a few fishes too. Consider subscribing if you like my content. It motivates me to make more videos!

I had been interested in buying a Tucktec for some time, however, I was very skeptical of its ability to be used as a fishing kayak and never purchased one for that reason. But because of this and your other videos now I see things differently and intend to make the purchase! Thanks for the videos, keep it up! 💪

BUY ONE OR TWO, They are a 'Ball'. My wife and I own three of them, and carry them everywhere, even on our Electric Bikes.

As someone considering buying a Tucktec FOR fishing, your video was super helpful. My local lake has a LOT of boat traffic so I was a little concerned about how the kayak would handle the wakes. Looks like it wouldn't be a problem. I also like how you found a way to use a fish finder!

You would enjoy your tucktec. It is very stable and light. Never regretted my purchase. I would even buy a third one to get more friends to enjoy it

It should hold up well. I am on the lighter side at 150lb, this probably also helped with the stability

What type of fishing rod and reel do you use? I just ordered a tucktec and would like to get into fishing off of it.

This will be a long conversation, but here are some general things to consider. It really depends on how you fish. If trolling, I would recommend a short rod (less than 6ft), so you can easily reach your rod tip in the constrained space. If casting, a longer rod allows you to cast further. But I wouldn't go longer than a 6'8" rod in a tucktec, given space can be tight. KastKing rods have worked well for me. Affordable rods with great quality.

If the overall weight on the yak is below 250lb, it should be ok

hi, is that transducer different from the one your get when you buy the garmin fish finder? I didn't know you could set it up that way. I have the transducer that has the suction cup and it doesn't stick for a long time. I keep having to resuction it to the side of the kayak. Suggestions?

I stick it to the inside of my kayak with a type of moldable putty. I should make a video on this since a few of the subs were requesting me to make a tutorial video of my fish finder setup
