Thanks Mr.Reach because we have been having difficulty directing zombies to our horde night path. Instead, they would always decide to hit on the reinforced wall in my trench.
I use the full block with the hole and dig down one block so that when they’re placed they’re flush with the ground. Then they jump from one to the next if they fall in instead of trying to bash them. also, I spiral this all the way around my base. There is such a thing as too long but most of the time when they start coming for my base, they get bored before they get to the base, turn around and go back. It has to be flat ground or it gets iffy. I try to keep the path two blocks wide because if they clump up they’ll push each other over into the holes and then they skip the path sometimes. I got the idea from you in one of your older videos. Thank you! Glad to see an updated version! It still works.
PS of course on horde nite they don’t forget about me or get bored. I have an elevated path that I lead them to a fighting position. If they spawn in behind me, then they’ll sometimes come up the hole path spiral to the base but they get out of rage mode(?) before they get to the base and start heading towards the elevated path.
Storage block from the variant menu works much better as the zombies can't fall into the pit you have to dig for a force field to work reliably. from what ive found that the zombies where falling into that force field & just breaking em if i had it only 1 deep like you had. 4 deep works better but wasn't 100 relabel. Pancakes did a video on it. interesting watch.
This is an awesome video that will replace spikes which break eventually in order to keep the zombies away from areas, like maybe pillars, that you don't want them to get near. Great video and I hope I can find a space for ½ cube circle blocks. I appreciate the helpful information straight up
@@ReachGaming Journey's End is a POI in 7 Days to Die...not a bot. It has a large footprint/is large. What is the pathing limit in length of blocks for the zombies to path to the entrance vs going over this block.
Don't stand too close, they have the reach to reach you ! ;) Yeah thanks for the tips, I will test this, when I come back to the game. But I must hurry, because now TFP will patch this, 3, 2, 1... and done (no not yet I'm joking) ! :'(
@@ReachGaming Ok good. Haven't been really on the side of playing since a long time, apart for playtesting my mods for compatibility with other mods and updates for my users, so I'm not that aware of gameplay gems like this one. Nice to know.
I've used this block around my base and made ramp/walkway for them. They ignore the ramp and walkway, stand on these blocks and bash the walls. Any help? edit: ramp and walkway is 15 blocks high. there are ladders up the pillars as well. the walkway is dotted with small side centred pillars.
@@ReachGaming i finally got 7 days to die on pc on a laptop with a gtx 1050 ti 16 gb ram and an intel i7 but i have not been able to get into it, i got a lot more enjoyment out of the ps4 version.

I love these block. They are Great for pathing. I like to combine them with dart traps at the corners to soften them up.

don't use those blocks on the vertical for your shooting/melee window, when they crawl, they can crawl through the hole in the block
No, that was an example not the base..... I was showing off the 1m hole blocks...
I would like to see a zombie obstacle course :)

Will this work on a large base like journeys end?
What is journeys end?

Well considering this has worked since Alpha 20, I think you are fine
