@Kebrick Hailtunder no, not as far as I know. Hard to say from here though!
Cannonball licks? Yes PLEASE 🤩
Exactly!
Wabash pronunciation:
Whah’- bash (schwa like in “ah,” then short a like in “ash”) - emphasis on first syllable (basically both emphasized the same)
From the song “Wabash Cannonball” :)
Thanks Brenda 😊

Thank you 😀
Wabash- a river in Indiana, and found in the title of an old American tune about a a train, The Wabash Cannonball
👍
Wabash==wahbash put the emphasis on the 2nd syllable. The Wabash River is in the state of Indiana and eventually dumps into the Ohio River that finds its way to the Mississippi River and that will take us all the way to New Orleans. That's pretty good place to find some blues licks too. As an aside, when I was in the 3rd grade (which I figure was before you were born) We sang a song about a train called " The Wabash Canonball" It was known quite well by all. ; ) Greetings from the Emerald City
On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away!
Best to relate this to your culture. The British novelist Evelyn Waugh accounts for the first--and accented---syllable. The second syllable is just a bash: a party, a blow to the head, rhymes with "stash." So a rowdy party at Evelyn's would be a Waugh-bash. PS, Great video. I'm working on these every day. How about some King Curtis?
👍
Fantastic Jamie. Well Done... This is what we need!
🙏🏻

Thanks for this video! As a beginner saxophone player, I couldn’t get fast blues scales, but with practise, now im better than 3 months ago!❤
You can do it!
Thanks Mr Anderson! That is cool as always.
Thanks! 🙏🏻
Such beautiful blues licks! Very helpful, as I will be having a try-out/rehearsal playing some blues numbers with a new band this week! (As a native Chicagoan I can say that your 6th try at pronouncing Wabash was the closest: Waw' bash).
Thanks Rob 🙏🏻
Very nice piece of teaching!
Many thanks! 😀
Wob-ash (emphasis on the second bit)
👍🏻
This is very helpful thanks!
Glad it was helpful! 😀
Wabash as in a lazy WA WA peddle pronunciation, listen to lyrics of "The Wabash Cannonball" (refers to a train run) you'll hear the local vonacular.
Thanks!
Excellent! I'd subscribe to your courses but I'm already a member of Dr Wally's course.

Your best vid yet
Thanks Rich!
More! 👏
😊👍
Hi, Jamie. It’s “WÄH-bash” (short “a” on the second syllable). Cheers.
Thanks for that!
I was finding the fingering for the Brecker lick a bit tricky when he goes Ab C D Ab, but then I realised you can play this with Ab fingering and just lift the B key to get C and press the D palm key to get D with all the other Ab fingers in place.
👍
Champ ❤
👍🏻
Maybe you could try listen to the song flower garden by Arnett Cobb, I would like to heard your opinion of his solo.
👍🏻
IMO BIRD is also a great bluesy player. You can find some incredible lines is his recordings like KC Blues, Parker's Mood etc
Agreed!
👍
Kenny Ball Adderley
😉
Thanks FYI there is a river in indiana called the Wabash river near Chicago!
👍
Wah bash
...as in Cannonball. No, it's a river in Indiana, close to Chicago, Illinois.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabash_River

Thanks 🙏🏻
Wabash railroad was made famous in the song Wabash Cannonball. BTW it's (wah-bash)
🤣
Wob -ash, with the emphasis slightly on the second syllabub, apparently
👍🏻
Fingering into the scoop or bending into it or both?
Both.
Wah-bâsh (water over white stones) - “W-ah-b-ash [as in ‘ash’ like the tree]”
👍
It was a pun on Adderley's part: ua-cam.com/video/2V2P4iGVNyU/v-deo.html, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabash_Cannonball
WAH-bash
😊
Du bist mein Gott👌
👍🙏
🤣🤣🤣 every lick that's played he makes an odd face 🤣🤣🤣 I guess he's "Feeling it "
lol
'War' bash.
👍🏻
It's pronounced ~ wah baash
🤣
