I hate to say it but Rust Stalkers are actually one of the worst datasheets in admech right now. They just don’t do any damage and basically don’t get buffed my anything we have (not the army rule, they don’t get the rerolls to wound from the dunerider (it’s shooting phase only)…). They were amazing in 9th and lost all their teeth in 10th.
What were you taking that wasn’t skitarii anyway? I think it’s pretty much just breachers. Maybe you’d have taken a single onager? The electropriests, skorpius disintegrator, and kastelans are just so bad, I don’t imagine we would want to load up on them.
I think this detachment is going to be best because it plays into the units that were already good without a detachment ability
Electropriests were actually pretty great as a midfield objective tatpit type unit, I think the corpuscarii will be even better in the book since they can slow people down now
That’s true, corpsucarii are pretty decent now. I wouldn’t mind running 5-10. I just wouldn’t want to base an army around them.
@jacksonletts3724 fair enough, I would be inclined to take more I think if they were battle line or something in the data psalm conclave
TBH the Onager isn't bad in this detachment, just because it gives you a bubble of 4++ for all the Skitarii you're taking. 2 of them takes your survivability and cranks it up even further.

that 2 unit improve the ap strat- dropping a unit out of a transport looks like a fun way to go
The Onager Dunecrawler had the Skitarii keyword in the index, did they remove it in the codex?
No they didn't, it still has the Skitarii keyword :D

It just doesn’t get the detachment rule as the detachment specified things like skitarii infantry and mounted and what not.
Give us some hope..... Everyone hates this book and feel like GW are trying to make AD Mech a Horde army.
They want all armies to be horde armies so you have to buy more plastic
Belisarius Cawl isn't worth his exorbitant points cost for a mere cover save, literally the easiest bonus to get in 10th edition. He's not worth it for a re-roll 1's aura either. The balance dataslate either needs to cut his cost by 50+ points or replace his cover aura with a FNP aura and his re-roll 1's with a full re-rolls aura. Preferably the latter option as points cuts are a lazy way to make a unit desirable. As an army centerpiece model he's the biggest disappointment in the game.
Two Onager Dunecrawlers with the Binharic Offence Stratagem seems overlooked. Potentially buffing their weapons with an extra -2 AP seems strong. Also they could refund the CP spent with their Data-tethers.
Skitarii hunter cohort is much weaker than vanguard detachment. Vanguard detachment is dropping scarry short range space marines right up in your face. Skitarii hunter cohort is dropping T3 4+ 1W chaff if your opponent face to inevitably be slaughtered.
