    I really like what they have done to it and i feel its the only detachement where you gonna Play Skystalkers with the combo of 60 Shots Lethal hits full reroll for 2 CP or 1 CP on a 5+

      Is that a stratagem to do that? Not bad for 1 cp. Annoying and harassing later game objective sweeper if they leave something squishy on the home objective.

    the thing that I was hoping for in this codex was to have no dice involved in the pre-game bombardment. I would have been happy with a flat works/6+ if they took the shock, or a 2+/6+ even.
    Also, I think they could have 'fixed' the omnisterilizor by just saying it couldn't be equipped by a manipulus, or even by a manipulus with the transonic flamer.
    Overall, I think it's an improvement, but not an exciting one. I absolutely agree with your overall summation- I'm perfectly happy with this as the evolved form of our index rule.

      I think what you are missing is that it would be still potent on the Dominus with flat 6 shots at 24", or even on the Skatros to fire 4 shots and reliably delete a character each turn.

      You’re right, it would be nice if the sniper could ever kill a character in a single turn, or the Dominus spit out a high number of shots. It would have provided list variation in a way that it currently won’t- anti infantry dev wounds will be the go to 100% of the time now- it won’t matter if you’re shy on horde killing, or on character elimination. It’s not like the admech characters are an excessively lethal bunch to start with; pulling the extra shots just took away one of the primary threats they could put on the table. The more limiting the threats become, the less varied lists will become.
      It’s not going to make admech move from my primary and favorite faction, but it will keep me playing knights any time I’m in a tournament, because even though my admech collection is about 3.5k points, it’s not a competitive collection with the current meta (though, likely, from the looks of it, I mean the edition and not just the meta)

    Ruststalkers move 8" base autoadvancing 7-8" if a battleline is nearby is insanely good or advancing with dragoons to then charge because of their new ability is really strong

    It's funny how to most positive things they can say about the detachment rule is that it can sometimes have an impact.
