My static has a meme for potions when we're approaching a clear attempt: "don't be afraid to use them! they're free!" (they are not 'free', the groups' collective crafting talents make them and I've been on that duty for the last month, but they better %^$^ing use them anyway)
@@WaxNeverwane About 6-10 when going for a clear attempt for the first time since you'll likely fail at some point. It's a max of 2-3 per fight when you one and done it (shorter fights only have enough time for two.) We generally don't start including them on a prog fight until we've seen enrage a few times and we know the problem a lack of DPS, not just the lack of practice.
@@katarh so it's not unheard of to need like 30-40 for the whole team? I have interest in this because when I craft potions/food, I tend to craft a few hundred at a time
@@WaxNeverwane I give them in chunks of 30 to the folks who need them. Since each class needs something different - melee and tanks, ranged, caster, healer - I'm just holding all the ingredients in my inventory and crafting them during downtime. The team supplies the rare ingredients, at least.
That's fair. My down time while waiting for dps lets me churn out stupid amounts of materials. This in turn leads to mass production when I'm bored, also usually during dps queues

as a lvl 77 SMN, I sympathize with Searing Light after Bahamut, fortunately, it won't be an issue anymore after 6.1 drops tmrw (as of writing this comment)
@@CleopatraKing the problem is that during Bahamut and Phoenix, Carby doesnt show up at all unlike the other 3 Summons where they do their attack then Carby is infused with their Aether. So if you accidentally miss your Searing Light window, you lost it until essentially your next Baha window which is probably one window too late/too soon for the rest of teh buffs
@@lanteanboy yes and you should be punished for being bad. Jobs dont need to have a skill ceiling and skill floor that is virtually the same. stop complaining about micro difficulties BC ITS THE ONLY HARD THING ABOUT THE JOB
@@CleopatraKing the only reason searing light is scuffed is that the fact baha phase is tied to GCD while searing light still fixed in 120s. It's really frustating when you have high sps build and it become the only reason the buff got drifted. I would say that micromanaging pet so that everyone can get the buff is not a bad thing, but rather than micromanaging pet, the case is about baha phase existence is tied to GCD that made SL buff easily drifting.
@@DewaKardika yea i can see that. Personally id like to see demi summons still be tied to spell speed bc its unique and cool, but it does feel wierd with party buffs. Searing light scaling with spell speed would also be neat.
I'm dead serious about this question: Why did Venat talk you into killing her near the end of Endwalk? I cared about her. Why did we have to have that test at the end that boiled down to assisted suicide? I don't understand why that happened. I didn't want to kill her. It felt like killing my grandmother.
It was her requirement to take the ship to space and fight meteion instead of taking the moon and flee. She needed to know if we had the strength to do it. If we couldn't even beat Hydaleyn at her weakest, then there would be no point in fighting Metieon at all.
@@TehParismio I know all that. I pay attention to the story. I'm just say why could they not just have a fight without it ending up with her dead. They could have just sparred with Venat one on one.
@@kokayinewsome9308 It's because she literally saved the very last of her strength for that test. She even mentions that she's kept enough power in reserve to make sure that this trial happens. So, it's not so much that you kill her, it's that she literally gave her all (that was left) for that fight.

As someone who got to omni-crafting tier as a casual, just how many potions does a fc use for statics a week?

My understanding: you need her power to get to the meteia colony at the far edge of the universe. Without her, you wouldn't be able to reach the nest.
