    Thank you for posting this video. I grow my own ginger, galangal, and turmeric. It's very easy to do. I actually grow in 15 gallon cloth bags. I am going to freeze dry the turmeric this year and make my own turmeric pills with my new Herb Affair capsule maker.

      If you go on Etsy, there are lots of organic growers that sell at a reasonable price. That's where I originally purchased my rhizomes

    wow! We;re into gardening big time, and didn't know Turmeric was something that we could grow. I'll have to check the zone chart to see if I can grow it.
    BTW, I had no luck with growing ginger.

      ginger and turmeric are pretty similar grow types. You might do better growing it in a low tunnel. It's a tropical plant, so the closer you can replicate that environment, the better

      I grow ginger and turmeric in Zone 6. I follow the ginger growing method from The Rusted Garden. You might check it out and see if it works for you.

    Brian, I'm happy to say my bread run is complete. I'm dedicating very first run to health. I saw your beets video and at this very moment, the fresh beets are in the HRFD. I may do the turmeric next so all of my future runs will be done with a happy, healthy body, lol. Thanks again, Navy Mark...

    I had a capsule making thingy years ago, but not as cool as yours. I ordered yours. Wondering what other FDd powders to put together and make "vitamins". Is there someone who addresses this?

    • @live.life.simple.
      @live.life.simple.  8 місяців тому

      I don't know of anyone else who does this. That is the main reason I wanted to get the info out there that it's possible. I use turmeric, ginger, beets, mushroom and moringa.

      @@live.life.simple. I've been looking at the properties of differing mushrooms. Our local health food store carries quite a few fresh mushroom varieties, including lion's mane, so was going to just go for the wide variety and FD, then powder. What ones do you use? Also dark leafy greens sound good. I've made a turmeric ginger ale that's a ferment that's really good. Oh, I've started FDing some of my ferments, but doing them around 90 degrees to keep their 'aliveness'. I'm surprised your yogurt works to remake yogurt with using the FD standard 125 degrees. Maybe tho, some of it's probiotics are dead.
