For the misfire be sure to check the gasket under the valve cover for the spark plug holes sometimes when u install a new one it will fall out of place and its very hard to catch

There's definitely a difference between the 2,5l and the 3.0l. About 30-40hp difference and if you find a ZHP motor out of a Ci then you get more aggressive cams and few other extra goodies

Does the 3.0 come with bigger fuel injectors like the 2.8 does with the m52? I absolutely love my 2.8 in my e36 but it came with the same injectors and headers as the 3.0 over the 2.5 of the time. Even stamped I personally just can't trust parts from Amazon in 2024

only thing different on the 3.0 is a few sensors wiring harness injectors, maf and throttle body and coil packs, so keep all the sensors, coil packs and wiring harness from to 2.5 and swap onto 3.0, keep 3.0 injectors, maf and throttle body on 3.0 and you should be plug and play. only other thing youll need to do is check if your 3.0 has a ms43 ecu or ms45 if its a 45 it wont work so youll need to reflash the 2.5 ecu with a 3.0 tune. look up ms4x wiki and it will have all the info you need
@@chadriddle3517 you cannot just grab a junkyard ecu plug it in and expect it to run the ews not matching the car won't let it start. ms45 ecus are significantly harder to reflash compared to the ms43 ecus and on top of that there are no free ews delete flash's available like there is with the ms43. The only way you can delete ews on ms45 is by paying someone else to do it and frankly it's a bit of a rip off when you can do everything you'd need to with the ms43

@@MicahDiaz you can delete the ccv with the m50 manifold swap and hooking up a oil catch can setup from the valve cover port and run it back to the oil pan with an tiny filter breather to realese the crank case pressure into atmosphere
stop running it on the 2.5 ecu cam and vanos timing aswell as afrs are all wrong, no doubt you have a misfire but your trying to chase like 4 issues at once with that ecu. get a 3.0 ms43 or just reflash the one in the car then worry about the misfire. if you reflash you can delete a bunch of stuff add launch control burble tunes and do a few changes to the vanos tables to give you even more extra power and imo the most important thing for you a iac delete to greatly increase throttle response, its really simple stuff ms4x wiki is your friend btw e46 injectors are known to stick if you let them sit so id be looking into that.

check the coil pack for oil ive had to rtv the valve cover every time after doing a gakset the plastic covers warp

Yeah I have a 325i that I put a b30 cam and intake in with the bigger purple fuel injectors. But next week I’m doing my b30 and zf swap:)

The 330 intake and throttle body are a lot bigger than the 325 so it won’t have all the 330 power it should
