- Welcome to Project Yoshimitsu! Follow me along this adventure of turbo'ing this Beautiful Green BMW E46 330CI with me. On a quest to Double my horsepower figures we are going all the way with this turbo Project. This is Episode 1 of a many part series on this Turbo build DETAILED from start to finish boys. This will be the most thorough project on a Turbo E46 to date on UA-cam.
In this Video we go over some info about me, Details about the BMW and A THOROUGH Overview of all the parts required to Turbo this BMW Chassis.

Do yourself a favor and throw away those metal zipties now before they cause you trouble. They always back out and end up getting loose, just get stainless steel band clamps. Much easier to service too.

Found your channel from looking up videos on relocating the windshield washer reservoir for my M3 but staying for the turbo build. I watched a few other of your videos and you seem really cool. Good job so far and good luck with the build. I have a 330i ZHP as well as an M3, so definitely going to be taking notes.

Just as you, I found many youtube-series of e46 turbo lacking in details. I'm interested my self to attempt the same concept (400whp) this winter and will follow this series with big interest! Subbed!

Bro I know! In my 6 S-peed TSX I had the Type R shifter and in the summer I had to keep it covered with a microfiber when i’d leave the car lol Also, Next episode is already out brother and Pt. 3 is dropping very very soon! 😉

Great video. Just some friendly advice. I would get a 0.82 rear turbine housing for that 3582. A 0.62 is gonna be way too small for that 3.0L. Was my initial purchase as well and found it needed to be much bigger lol.

How's the difference in spool rpm?
Curious as well, i bet closer to 3,5- 3,7 maybe? .63 being closer to 3 from what i understand. I didnt think i’d run out of juice though on the .63 if im only gunning for 400wheel
@@pythondon its absolutely doable. just gotta tune out the torque for low end boost. i just prefer the 0.82. drives like normal. spools hard. full boost by 4kish. made over 500 on a b30 with the .82
Love it, ty for the Tip!! You raise your redline at all? 500 on E85 or 93?
I know it's a bit late to tell you because you already have it but the Innovate SCG-1 is a pretty bad unit. It commonly fails after 1 year of use and the boost sensor and controller are really bad. I have one and my boost was all over the place. I was lucky to find a Turbosmart Eboost-2 for sale very cheap and it's so much better, very steady boost and more boost control settings. Apparently the SCG-1 has a very simple boost control and it only activates after your spring pressure making it very slow and jerky. Just a heads up tho! Looking forward to this series.
Also, don't use the rubber hose that comes with the AEM fuel pump, get a ribbed PTFE hose that looks like the OEM one, with good length so u can make a loop.
Brooo 😭😭😭 Did some research this morning after when you wrote. Had to do some digging but it’s there bro, lot of ppl across all different types of forums having odd issues with it. Already got it up for sale 🤣 Thank you for the heads up. Luckily its down the line on this project so it will give me some time to figure out my replacement 👍

@@pythondon Yeah after having problems I looked it up too and found out.. after spending all the money on it lmao. Still using it for AFR atm tho. You have plenty of time to find a better boost controller during the build, but an AFR gauge is a must. I'm really happy with my Eboost2 though, only issue with it is I haven't found a way to switch between boost groups yet :P. It's sad that the SCG-1 is bad because it's awesome having everything in one gauge..
