If it still feels like it could run smoother. Try mounting the maf sensor straight up instead on the side. My 03 ran like ass with it on its side and when I put it straight up it fixed itself. Might be worth a shot
I remember I had made a ghost cam tune… it was so cool. I’d be sitting at a light, sounded all choppy then I’d blow the tires off to limiter. Definitely copped some attention.

@@MicahDiaz plus i think all bms have clutch anti dump valve its just a coupler at clutch cylinder with restricted flow if its there take it out..... this does not allow clutch to engage instant when you dump it...
Can you just smoke test it already bro. Take off throttle boot, put a rubber glove with a ziptie around it so it doesn't pop off, pop out the brake booster hose, get a cigar and blow smoke through and find the vacuum leak, and front looking at your m54b30, the vent hose on the valve cover can leak air.
micah ease up on the m54 hate. when they work , there pretty damn good, my 2001 with the rk tune is 🔥. they may leak oil everywhere but they are hard to kill
I have 99 323i, gutted, stock engine, bc coilovers and previously had a 3.46 and it drifted great in second gear now I have a 3.64 diff but haven't tried it out yet.
Hey bro im a bit late but what about engine crankcase ventilation , why is it disconected , that is a biggest issue in bmw engines that causing lot of vacum leaks etc , just wonder if u not supposted to have oil catcher there connected like i know as solution?
they are not garbage - they act like garbage when you treat them like that :P Excatly in such small areas what you found - some missfires, poor condition and not oem maf sensor, vacuum leaks (last two are HUGE things in M54's) etc. But now on the speedometer it looked good. My B30 is ripping 235's on 3,07 like a champ. Yours should now too. For sure it is not slower then my sedan was. P.S. I hope that yoboi knows, that you can uncode vss sensor from dtc's table ;) And you even should do this, cause they can generate limp mode with redline 5500. Get rid of this and I'm waiting for event movie :)
I have 2.5l m54 and it legit misfires all 6 on cold starts runs fine after but then Limp modes on any hard acceleration, car is fun to drive when it drives right trash motor no doubt but really design, plastic here plastic there, the pulleys is what blows my mind.

He's not wrong. M54 Mani gives way more power and torque across the whole power band because of the variable intake runners (disa) if going na. However if your going forced induction, the M50 manifold is the way. 😈

There’s just a dip stick hole and another hole on it. The dip stick just needs to be sealed

By any chance did you plug off the idel ports on the head when swapping the M50 manifold. If you don't plug those ports you can cause a vac leak
