My daily meditations over the past few years have been a conjunction of your works, such as Practical Stocism and your summary of The Meditations. Your ability to reflect on another’s work, and provide a stoic grounded reflection/insight on it is so valuable. I’m elated to have another meditation companion, I appreciate your time and effort.

Truly appreciate your videos. Wonderful pace of narration, tone and apt analogies to present-day examples. Thank you so much for bringing us closer to these masterpieces.
I still listen to the Enchiridion read by you almost on a weekly basis (as a reminder) and your readings helped me, as I'm sure they've helped a lot of people. Thank you!
Outstanding! You're very good at describing these great books. Thank you so very much for the time and energy you put in to upload this material. Keep up the great work. ✍️
So glad to see you. I’d hoped you hadn’t left for good. I have listen to every one of your videos more than once. Your Aurelius Meditations I must have listen to 100 times. I either listen to that or your Seneca or Will Durant’s The Story of Civilisation (on Rockys channel) as my bedtime routine. Your voice is calming. You have a fantastic voice for audiobooks. I look forward to more. I am now studying Philosophy at uni and you helped me understand. Thank you.
I'm new to your channel but I've watched almost all of your videos in the past couple months. I was wondering if you'd be back, good to have you here again. Your work is superb and surely helps a lot of people as it has helped me.
Nice Conan reference. Musashi and the Samurai trilogy started me early on the path to not be a knucklehead and help others learn to farm before they pick up their chosen "weapon".
Thank you so much for this. I have listened to your readings from the very beginning, and I supported you by purchasing the summary of Meditations on Audible when it was published. You are really good at what you do, because you fundamentally understand and enjoy the philosophies, which creates a passion that the listener can feel.
Love Joe and live by Musashi’s philosophy “know the way broadly” Hilarious to see him pulling up his shirt to show us a tattoo artist depicting a painters cartoonist version of a man that once lived like I did when I got my first tattoo in high school 😂😭✌️
I'm American and first read The Book Of Five Rings when I was in the early 2000s. Every word made perfect sense. I still read it to savor the energy and essence of Musashi and reflect on his principles. It is most exquisite, as is its first cousin in Bushido, the Hagakure.
The manga Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue is worth checking out, a historical fiction seinen series about the life of Miyamoto Musashi during the Warring States period for anyone interested.
First time listening, this was brilliant, from Seneca to Limbo slice hahah, what an enjoyable way to learn and grow! Love the voice talent or if it's you, kudos! Subed and thumbs up! Now on to part 2 ❤
I'd be grateful if the video had subtitles in Portuguese. It may seem like I'm lazy, but I've been studying English but I have a hard time keeping up with speakers. Thanks from Brazil
Hi, I don't speak Portuguese but I've translated it with GPT4 and have just added them. I'm relying on UA-cam to sync the timestamps up automatically though! Not sure if it works in a second language. It will probably take 24 hours for us to find out.
I feel ever drawn to this book even though I do not get it nor think it is true. I have been drawn to the samurai ever since I was a boy. Thank you for doing this. It's better than the actual text!
Victory over myself I had this during a 5 hour 5g dose of mushrooms had what people might refer to as a bad trip. But only after did I understand that it was not necessarily bad it was just a trip. And each trip is different something I needed to learn obviously. Feeling like I was in purgetory trapped I could move but I really rather lay down and contemplate everything it's hard to put into words the feeling other than total dredd but the experience was useful learned allot about myself in the trip learned I am much stronger than I thought learned nothing lasts forever no matter how bad it might feel.
After this i recall this incident: i played basketball for fitness only a player wanted a game with me. I won this game without skills. "You played real pretty, I want the ball in the hole " That was my final game. Age 55 at the time.
Just completed and took notes of it superb work brother.I have pdf version of this book even I was reading through it I didn't got the meaning of many things that you just revealed. For god sake I found you.if not may be I would be wandering over some swordman techniques 😂 Thanks a lot🙏 Great work,I appreciate it
I have a question, Sir what does it really mean when Musashi said "think of the principles as emanating from your own heart"? what does it mean practically?
Considering the fact that in his culture, failure to live in accord with The Way (and realizing one has failed) generally ended in suicide. 36 years old and fell off the path for years. Buried in bad habits. Errors have compounded. ….
I started laughing so hard when he said TPS reports. I literally just watched the movie office space the other day. Right right so can I expect that TPS report by the end of the day
If the OP doesnt go to the gym, or practise self-reflection, they dont know. I dont want to be told what the book of the five rings are to you. I want to relive what they meant to me without reading.
Thanks, that's amazing to hear. I should have the pdf online in a couple of days. Need to adapt the video script to a book style and format it properly.

SUBBED!!! Keep up the great work, this is the stuff I need right now. Bless you.
Thankyou for this man I always play your morning routine and I love your voice, your passion and interpretations!
Excellent work, bravo!
A book of 5 Rings is so much better than the Art of War because it looks at life from the perspective of an individual.
Yes, but I would say that the two books are too different to put them against eachother as opponents. They both have merit.
Glad you're back with a quality vid .
Tq for this beautiful video and suggestion on pdf ❤..... You are genius. I can't explain how much greatfull I am to watch this video 🎉
