Very insightful. Absolutely protracted withdrawal is very real but so is healing and the mind body connection which can keep this going longer than necessary. It’s a red warning if anyone or any forum is telling you you can’t heal, being extremely fixed to alternative healing methods. This is individual and what works for one person won’t work for another and vice versa. Sometimes these forums can be extremely harmful to people.
Interesting. I very much believe in starting very slowly when trying to redo things but for me distraction is one of the best ways of dealing with feeling rubbish as I reset. Yes there are some days when I just can't but if I can it helps. I also found so many of the support groups were so depressing and just continually focused on every tiny thing and how to deal with it and I began to feel it made me more stressed and more despondent and actually when I finally left them all behind, I began to get a lot better. Yes I think at the early stages they help but after a while maybe they can perpetuate it as has been spoken about here
I find them to be dangerous and cultish. Don’t dare disagree with their “medical knowledge”. They leave one with little hope and that is very dangerous.
The first guy: if he’d been on Klon for 10 years, I’d wonder if it wasn’t Lyme causing the pain and seeing spots. That sounds like tolerance 🙏🏻 I thought I had Lyme before I realized the Klon was absolutely rocking me. I even started treatment for Lyme. I had so many tests, scans, etc. Lyme symptoms are so similar to tolerance.
I’m 80 and this woman has described exactly what’s happening to me. I was prescribed 120 mg of Cymbalta for neuropathy. Was on it for three years. I quit to abruptly, ended up in a psych ward, now (two yrs later) am still left w/ constant fear, myclonic jerks, tinnitus, severe pain, trembling, inability to read, concentrate, remember things, etc. this has robbed me of my life. I even think about suicide as an escape. I don’t think there’s any help out there😞
Good information. Bedridden with severe symptoms 1 year off from 18 years on sertraline fast taper. Neurological dysregulate injury. Brain pain and along the spine. Has anyone gotten better?
I'm 20 months off after harm reduction taper. 25 years on a SSRI that was re-prescribed to me as 'maintenance'. Now enduring a protracted acute withdrawal symptoms , which I've since learned can also be drug dysregulation syndrome. This will be discussed in the upcoming webinar from Mad in America.
I was on many drugs for my OCD and then the misdiagnosed me with bipolar put me on many other drugs my life is over. It's been six months. I am off my meds, but it's like nightmare😢 Akhatisia, anhedonia, cognitive impairment, insomnia, DPDR, racing thoughts, and severe mood swings،Hyper sensitive nervous. Any kind of neuroplasticity technique could you offer me please?
Time is you’re healer. It takes time to let the brain go back to homeostasis after you’re injury. We will all heal. Some people fast some people slow. And it is very very bad and dark and lonely. But you will heal❤
@@lonnievisch6009 It’s what you do with that time. Many in their 80, 90s beyond still carry trauma like it was yesterday. Healing is a verb. Peace and health.
"Any kind of neuroplasticity technique?" I would suggest getting out into nature, be amongst green plants and/or clean water. If you can walk, walk as much as you can half way in one direction, then save enough energy to walk back. If walking is too slow, then biking , if you can still balance. All away from industry and car noise and pollution. You can google green spaces and mental health.
I have been on lexapro and Xanax for years and I’m 76. I also have idiopathic Pulminary Fibrosis and I have seen what Xanax will do when you try to get off to fast and don’t know at my age is it wise to stop it or is it just better to just stay on it?
The shock to get off at your age will involve hell on earth. If you care, taper in micro micro doses and see what's left of who you would be without it. You entered the lions den. Sorry to hear that. I hope u have a strong support system. Good luck
See cymbalta hurts worse as it gives you the guidelines to taper correctly. Zoloft like cymbalta a SNRI drug which is the hardest class of pyschotropic drug to come off.

Increasing neuroplasticity via BDNF stimulation helped me a lot!
I have had some success with it too in the past

Time! Time has healed everyone, suffering from psych drug withdrawal. Your only task is to stay alive. Your nervous system will recover.
Excellent, thank you.
Anyone active jogging before protracted but get intense muscle fatigue now with minimal exertion?

Tai chi, qigong, and neigong are the best way to heal the nervous system. You can start with Damo Mitchell here on UA-cam.

So judging from these comments, there's still no cure for withdrawal symptoms. How sad...
Lack of success isn't proof of impossibility.
There IS! It a process. It takes TIME, for me a lot of time....but I definitely see progress! Angie Peacock 's podcasts helped me tremendously.❤

We dont need more medication. Keto carnivore diet is best so far.
