I really hate gatekeeping concept in general but i kinda feel why Jaymes felt that way. Around 2012-2016 Bleach was just casually shitted on for no reason. It's like as an anime fan, you would look cool if you say that. Those youtuber that we was saying "you can't sit with the table" was those UA-camrs that legitly shitted on Bleach because it gains clicks. SuperEyepatchWolf was the worst of them. Projecting his personal opinion as if making thesis, like wtf?? Instead of a video format like "I don't like Bleach and here's why", he made a "I don't like Bleach and here's why you should too". Like that's just not personal opinion at that point he was trying to convert and influence viewers to buy and use his opinion on the series. He even made a "Sorry but not sorry" video when Bleach anime was announced. That video was just plain cringe, weird, and egotistical. Jaymes was one of the "bigger" youtuber or atleast a bleach fan that has an actual platform to retalliate against the slander that the fandom was receiving at those times. So hate it or not he did held a lot of Bleach fans together and gave fans strength to not lose hope.
I'd say it was more like 2010-202X that people were hating on Bleach. All these fake fans bitched nonstop about Fullbring arc and now release these videos how it's secretly genius lol. You are absolutely right, I remember when King of Lightning used to be relevant, him and his whole crew tried to gain clout by hating on Bleach constantly while brainlessly glazing One Piece. It seems only recently that people have gobe back and read the manga without these biases and seen what's great about it. Makes me a little sick as someone who's always been a fan of Bleach, seeing these haters heel-turn and make money praising Bleach now.
Call them out? Like there are tons of stuff you could call out other animes for, but for some reason if its popular then the YT reviewers are glazing hard over it and tries to protecting its reputation. Just take the recent stuff with joyboy in one piece, if this was fairy tail people would have bashed the shit out of it but since its One piece they are doing a full on mental gymnastic to explain why its good.. These reviewers needs to take in some humility and acknowledge they can point out flaws, there are Naruto channels that points out plot holes in their anime and everyone acknowledge it due to hindsight since the show ended several years ago and aren't as relevant anymore.

It’s kinda sad that JH proved me right for not engaging with his content, I had already stopped watching a lot of Jaymes content early on in the Bleach return because he still held a lot of the prior angst to his chest and something just felt off as well. Mainly just watch Flames of Rebirth, Clyde, and DBZImran and even then it’s not nearly as frequent. But as history usually shows, what you do in the dark will come to light, and consequence is a bitch.

A lot of people have said they dont like Bleach or jt was bad, but thise people I don't pay and mind to. Its whatever people loke theyre own things. Tho two people ive always had an issue w/, Gigguk and Supeyepatchwolf. Gigguk was one of the founder stones of shiting on bleach, he made tons of videos about it. He was one of the people who started the phrase "it falls of after soul society", and then he and Sydney(before they're relationship) got defensive when Bleach fans got mad at them. Then Gigguk started say hes hype and would start ranking bleach pretty high for his "most hype anime moments" type videos. Supereyepatchwolf staright up just posted massive misinformed and speculation which gained a crap ton of traffic. He got some backlash over time and made another video "correcting" himself but he just posted more misinformation. Last year he was on trash taste (Gigguks podcast ironically) and said we were overreacting b/c its fake, even tho he gave the constant haters more fake ammo. The hate and drama was real, but its not really here anymore so it is what it is, its just those two get under my skin. Jaymes lost my respect once he went after Tommo. Tommo has done nothing but good for the series, and has done more then jaymes, literally almost tripled jaymes channel views since 2020. I just think Jaymes was upset Tommo was more relevant and surpassing him in veiws/subs. He just got hurt from the cyberbullying and now just has a victim mentality.
After soul society it was a snow ball of cool stuff. Arancars and the Espadas all that nonsense was cool. Tite Kubo sucks and made that manga suck. He stopped drawing backgrounds and making garbage art saying "I dont see the backgrounds" but pretending hes a rockstar. That magna fell off for a reason. I love you tho and youre a cool person.

He can draw backgrounds, he does it a lot. This is the exact snowball argument I'm talking about. Supereyepatchwolf brought it up and people took it as fact. Kubo has a show don't tell story writing style. There's a reason all these mangaka and experienced writers love Bleach, they actually know how to critically think and put the pieces together. Every character has a story to tell through their zanpaktous if you're willing to actually pay attention. Thank you for being a prime example of the reason why some of these content creators absolutely destroyed Bleach's reputation while putting out blatant misinformation from ignorant opinions they put out as fact.

As a non-contents creator, I cant say what is right or wrong about James doing. But as a die-hard Bleach fan( discover Bleach in 2009) I kinda understand James feeling. We was there with Bleach in it highest and lowest. Being shit on by other people irl and in online saying Bleach is suck, you will never get the tybw anime adaptation, etc. Then, when the anime was coming back, and people jump on this hype train and say good stuff about Bleach. I agree that James taking things too far but the core of what he was saying is true. Most of the people that hated bleach or made fun of it was all in a popular take especially to exclude it from the TOP 3 (post-DBZ; where it was Naruto, One Piece and Bleach). Those people that changed their tune even before any trailer dropped, was because it generated A LOT OF HYPE during a time when things were a little stagnant. They pretty much trying to ride the Bleach hype wave and after the anime success they continue to do so because it's "popular now" and give views. It is corny to do that but you cannot gate-keep anyone from changing their opinions on a show or becoming a fan, even if it's not genuine, and I think James is indeed taking things too far BUT as a long time Bleach fan I understand his frustration. For example; there were people saying one piece was trash for looking goofy, the animation was basic and the absurdly long episode run ... but when the Wano arc started and the animation really picked up especially leading to Gear 5; all of a sudden "This is episode of the year" with their shocked thumbnail reaction. Again, it's corny but you can't gate-keep them from doing that.

Like that's just not personal opinion at that point he was trying to convert and influence viewers to buy and use his opinion on the series. He even made a "Sorry but not sorry" video when Bleach anime was announced. That video was just plain cringe, weird, and egotistical.

A lot of people have said they dont like Bleach or jt was bad, but thise people I don't pay and mind to. Its whatever people loke theyre own things. Tho two people ive always had an issue w/, Gigguk and Supeyepatchwolf. Gigguk was one of the founder stones of shiting on bleach, he made tons of videos about it. He was one of the people who started the phrase "it falls of after soul society", and then he and Sydney(before they're relationship) got defensive when Bleach fans got mad at them. Then Gigguk started say hes hype and would start ranking bleach pretty high for his "most hype anime moments" type videos. Supereyepatchwolf staright up just posted massive misinformed and speculation which gained a crap ton of traffic. He got some backlash over time and made another video "correcting" himself but he just posted more misinformation. Last year he was on trash taste (Gigguks podcast ironically) and said we were overreacting b/c its fake, even tho he gave the constant haters more fake ammo.
The hate and drama was real, but its not really here anymore so it is what it is, its just those two get under my skin.
Jaymes lost my respect once he went after Tommo. Tommo has done nothing but good for the series, and has done more then jaymes, literally almost tripled jaymes channel views since 2020. I just think Jaymes was upset Tommo was more relevant and surpassing him in veiws/subs. He just got hurt from the cyberbullying and now just has a victim mentality.
After soul society it was a snow ball of cool stuff. Arancars and the Espadas all that nonsense was cool. Tite Kubo sucks and made that manga suck. He stopped drawing backgrounds and making garbage art saying "I dont see the backgrounds" but pretending hes a rockstar. That magna fell off for a reason. I love you tho and youre a cool person.

He can draw backgrounds, he does it a lot. This is the exact snowball argument I'm talking about. Supereyepatchwolf brought it up and people took it as fact. Kubo has a show don't tell story writing style. There's a reason all these mangaka and experienced writers love Bleach, they actually know how to critically think and put the pieces together. Every character has a story to tell through their zanpaktous if you're willing to actually pay attention. Thank you for being a prime example of the reason why some of these content creators absolutely destroyed Bleach's reputation while putting out blatant misinformation from ignorant opinions they put out as fact.

As a non-contents creator, I cant say what is right or wrong about James doing. But as a die-hard Bleach fan( discover Bleach in 2009) I kinda understand James feeling. We was there with Bleach in it highest and lowest. Being shit on by other people irl and in online saying Bleach is suck, you will never get the tybw anime adaptation, etc. Then, when the anime was coming back, and people jump on this hype train and say good stuff about Bleach. Im happy, to be honest, that my beloved series has finally been reconise. I agree that James taking things too far but the core of what he was saying is true. Most of the people that hated bleach or made fun of it was all in a popular take especially to exclude it from the TOP 3 (post-DBZ; where it was Naruto, One Piece and Bleach). Those people that changed their tune even before any trailer dropped, was because it generated A LOT OF HYPE during a time when things were a little stagnant. They pretty much trying to ride the Bleach hype wave and after the anime success they continue to do so because it's "popular now" and give views.
It is corny to do that but you cannot gate-keep anyone from changing their opinions on a show or becoming a fan, even if it's not genuine, and I think James is indeed taking things too far BUT as a long time Bleach fan I understand his frustration.
For example; there were people saying one piece was trash for looking goofy, the animation was basic and the absurdly long episode run ... but when the Wano arc started and the animation really picked up especially leading to Gear 5; all of a sudden "This is episode of the year" with their shocked thumbnail reaction. Again, it's corny but you can't gate-keep them from doing that.
SavinTheBees has been a huge person in multiple anime communities for at lease a decade. I can't stand this mf Jaymes but I got mad respect for Bee for holding that mf accountable IRL. What legacy? I've been with bleach for over 20 years and while the manga was ongoing, Tekking was "The Bleach UA-camr" and in recent years it's been Mr. Tommo. Jaymes never had the talent or knowledge to leave any mark on the Bleach fandom aside from drama and controversies.

ive been an active member and content creator of the bleach community for the last 5 years ( mostly on tiktok).
