    Useful info. Super glue also works well to repair or close cuts on a soft plastic lure

      @@oceanecstasea I'd like to see videos of the fish you catch. I'm in the states and this was your first video I've seen. It's interesting to see American made lures for bass catching other species.

    Hi. Just found your video via big catch on facebook. Can you maybe make a video about retrieving paddle tails. I fish from my kayak and I have tried paddle tails but not sure how I should retrieve it. And thanks for the info. I only used jigheads and I have lost a few in the rocks. Thanks

    Thanx for info. Will up my game. I see guys catch some cob and leeries here in Mosselbay. I get strikes, but few hookups. Think this will help.

    Also seen big paddle tails rigged on ganged hooks like a pilchard, and caught a lot of fish.

      When we target Kob and Garrick we intend to release them. So we debard our hooks and use the least invasive way possible to ensure the fish swims off strong. Our garrick and dusky kob stocks are in the dire straits so every single one we have the privilege to catch needs to be released.

    Is there any specifc knot you use for tying your paddle tail

    • @oceanecstasea
      @oceanecstasea  Рік тому +1

      Yes we like to use the rapala knot in weedless areas and the figure * where there is lots of weed in the water to limit wed on your line!

    Hi there. Im trying really hard to catch a fish in lures in Melkbos side. After many atemps still nothing, not even a take...Any pointers or tips please. Thx for great video

    • @oceanecstasea
      @oceanecstasea  Рік тому

      Hi Louis, Melkbos is a tough one for lure fishing. The kob found your side are silver kob and are a lot less keen on lures when compared to the dusky kob. Your best shot would be t fish the brown water patches close to the NSRI after afew days of SE wind. Things start to light up from October onwards when the SE starts to blow more consistanly.

    To be super weedless Texpose tip of hook. Meaning just barely reinsert tip of hook, if necessary.
    Buy Mend it for fixing plastics. Worth it. Easy
