I honestly thought Frost was going to be the guy but I see Nebraska making healthy moves. I think they’re going to be competitive for sure

Not a good look with Riley also trying to cancel the LSU game and successfully canceling the Ole Miss game.
If Shedeur and Colorado has a line and can make waves, watch out for him at the heisman.
I don't think a G5 school should be eligible for the playoff if they didn't have a P4 noncon game on their schedule
As a Husker fan, i know we have a high ceiling this year... but something has always plagued us... This year, for some reason, i think it will be the secondary.. The pass defense has me very worried, otherwise I think its an easy eight or nine win team.

That’s not fair what you said about Mario Cristobal at Oregon. That he built the roster, but they don’t come through on the field I mean they did win two conference championships and a Rose Bowl
Cristobal is a great recruiter and would make a hell of an oline coach.
But his track record, especially last year, shows he cannot perform at the highest level as a head coach.

I still dont understand how Texas can lose 11 guys to the NFL, lose their 2 big guys on the DL and yet people still think they have a roster as good as what people are predicting. That makes absolutely no sense regardless of what team you are a fan of. This Texas hype is so typical it’s just that they finally had a good year and so people are running with it as though they had the kind of depth to where they can just replace the 11 guys they lost without any drop off? Ignorant if you ask me. Who is replacing their two big DL? Wide receivers? They got a decent portal pickup and they have some young talent but we are talking about replacing first rounders not just all conference guys even. Their Defensive backfield will still be a weakness. They have Ewers returning but he has been nothing other than a solid college QB and hasn’t shown that he is the type of QB to take a game or team over. Yet people have Ewers even projected as the #1 pick? Based on???? I can be as wrong as anyone but this take that it’s a given UT is as good as what people are saying they are is just way off.
Their offense didn't even look that good against Washington. What is going to happen when they go to Michigan?

They got the number 3 edge in the transfer portal, they have Alfred collins at DT who would have been just as good as Murphy or sweat if he wasn’t behind them, Picked up 3 highly graded transfer portal WRs plus Amari Niblack at TE, one of the top graded transfer portal TEs, we are returning a QB who led us to the CFP last year, the only other one returning is Jalen Milroe because the other 2 were drafted in the top 20, They also have 2 RBs who could play RB1 at plenty of other top programs in Jaydon Blue and Cedric Baxter, as well as a great returning OL and arguably the best LT in CFB. We “lost” 11 players but have more that will happily fill their spots this season.
How about Nebraska going 10-2 with losses to Ohio State and USC, making the playoffs? Let’s take this up a notch with Miami also going 10-2 with losses to Florida and Florida State and also making the playoffs? Let’s go nuts and have Nebraska and Miami, a great Orange Bowl rivalry, meeting in the playoffs in Miami just like the old days. That would be incredible and so much fun for some many fans.
Ga may not feel comfy w Rashada just yet, but it damn sure is confident in Stockton if need be!

I also think the auto bids for any conference outside the big 2 is dumb. Committee made a 12 team playoff, that alone adds 8 more teams. Why are we constantly adding teams to things we know will lose. A Group of 5 team could find themselves ranked in the top 10 if they go undefeated and schedule a tough non con. Shouldn’t that be how they get in? Base it off rankings.
I disagree completely. It's more of an NFL model. You remove some of the subjective bias in favor of the SEC and B1G. Those conferences were top heavy for several years carried by 1-2 teams. They are much deeper now, but there is a built-in bias in their favor. If it were all up to the committee, we'd wind up with 10 of the 12 teams from the SEC and B1G all in the top 10 seedings.
The ACC has won more national championships since 2013 than the B1G despite playing in a weaker conference. The B1G won its 2nd national championship last year and Ohio State in 2014.
In today's format, those ACC national championship teams would have been seeded outside of the top 5 by the committee despite having a superior team to much of the field.
I think the hybrid format is just right. It places an emphasis on conference champions. Like the NFL, it doesn't matter which division you play in. Win your division, and you're guaranteed to be in the playoffs.

Our georgia Bulldogs have a tough road schedule at Bama at Texas and ole miss and start off with Clemson and I'm not forgetting Tennessee
OU has 73% blue chip ratio to Texas' 72%, they have a roster that can win the Natty as well. Just Texas got handed a cupcake schedule to OUs tough schedule.
Saw a CBSsports blue chip ranking that INCLUDED the transfers and besides bama and uga both texass and LSU were ranked higher than the sooners. sooners number dropped to 63% with transfers,
Athlon did a '24 composite roster ranking and same 4 sec teams bama, uga, LSU and texass were all ranked higher than uo.
They both have 2 teams that are worthy of beating them 😂😂😂 OSU (Oregon and Mich) Texas At Mich And Texas Vs Georgia gtfoh
I'm not mad about the 5 SEC team prediction, I think you're right. The assumption that Both the B1G and SEC were going to benefit from expansion was always a fallacy. Even without Michigan hitting a down year the B1G was in the same position as everyone else. Until proven otherwise, their lack of depth, mostly due to misses during expansion, always meant they were going to max out at 3-4 bids max.
Michigan is down though, USC is unpredictable, and Washington is losing basically its entire team and coaching staff. Nebraska's been just about the same level of bust as Miami has been for the ACC. What have you got outside of Ohio State, Penn State, and Oregon this year? Iowa was the closest they had to a fourth team last year and they were 17th. By all accounts it's going to take a minimum of 9 wins to hit the top 12, and that's probably an SEC minimum, 10 is more likely the magic number for everyone else. Michigan might hit that number this year, but I'm doubtful, and I'd be shocked if Washington did. USC and UCLA might get better, but there's no proof of that yet like there is for SEC teams.
I think Oregon and Ohio State are locks. They have to fumble the heck out of their seasons to miss the playoffs. Penn State is their possible third, Iowa is their long shot fourth team. Neither have particularly tough schedules, so like other conference outside shots, if they're not going to or winning their conference (Basically the entirety of the Big 12 and all but two ACC teams), they're not getting in the top 12. They would both just have to be perfect in a way that neither has done in recent years. It's likely you see 3-4 B1G teams, 2-3 ACC teams, 1-2 Big 12 teams, 4-6 SEC teams. I personally think it's going to be 3 B1G (OSU, Oregon, Penn State), 2 ACC (combo of FSU/Clemson/Miami or whoever can get to 10 wins), 1 Big 12(title winner, snubbing 10 win teams in favor of a "proven" commodity out of the ACC), and 6 SEC (Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and some combo of LSU/Tenn/Oklahoma or any other 9 win SEC team they can make excuses for). I hate that, but the committee proved last year, they're going to do whatever the hell they want. And what they want is to not piss off papa SEC.

Yea the new way is better with more teams...but 12 is almost to many and 14 or more will be you will start having 3 loss teams in there that may be resting players in big games because at the time they won't matter as much is my main concern! GBO

Expanded the playoff so people could care about what random 9-3 team deserves to play for a championship just to get blown out by the same teams that will never miss out. Andy, you have no idea what’s coming

We don’t want to see all of these P5 teams put cupcake teams in their OC schedule but the committee punishes teams for a loss.
i think if he had it to do all over again he would have went to LSU because he wanted to leave OU because he thought it was holding him back and that he couldnt recruit elite level defence players because of that and not because he just doesnt care about his defence

Only the media and FSU fans think FSU is the favorite to win the ACC. That's conjecture based on the 2023 season from players that are no longer on the roster.
FSU lost 80% of its offensive production. Their offensive skilled players have very little experience except DJ U. Their 2024 WR room had a combined 57 catches in 2023. That includes the production of their portal transfer WRs from their previous schools.
FSU may be a contender for the ACC, but the production isn't there to say they are the favorite.
How do you believe your Nebraska, Colorado, and Baylor predictions all at once? You think Kansas State, Arizona, and Utah are the best teams in the conference, and Colorado plays all of them. Colorado would probably need to go 3-1 in at UCF, at Texas Tech, at Kansas, and Oklahoma State.
Colorado could go 6-6
Wins- NDSU, CSU, Baylor, Cincy, TTU, and Ok State
Losses- Nebraska, UCF, KState, Arizona, Utah, and Kansas
