The weather excuse always baffles me. Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, Washington, etc. all recruit top talent. I lived in Oregon for a decade, it's horrible 9 months out of the year. USC and Miami should be playing for the natty every year.

That's always driven me crazy. People act like it's Alaska. Before the west coast schools joined, no team in the B1G had weather that was any better than Nebraska, it was either the same or worse.
It's a lame low hanging fruit excuse .
I think if a kid is making college/football decisions based on weather they might not be keeping the main the main thing the main thing. I would say Hawaii should be the National Champion but if you go to Hawaii on a football scholarship maybe you’re surfing and going to the beach a little more than you should be and not lifting weights and studying the playbook as much as your cold weather counterparts. It’s a business transaction not a vacation.

Exactly! Trev Albert's is a "hack and slash" type of A.D.. whatever he "needs" to do, to obtain a goal, that only he can Invision, even if that means eliminating decent performing sports, which hurts the student athletes more than anyone else.

This is the kinda stuff that angers me. How did no one say running back? We need an elite run game at Nebraska. Period. Especially, since the QB run threat is now eliminated. If we don't get at least 5 ypc from that RB room then that puts so much pressure on Raiola to be unbelievable as a true frosh. And that is a hard ask even for a blue chip talent like DR. I get that the run game isn't flashy these days mostly with modern fans and media, but my god is it ever important. Even more so at places like Nebraska that don't have a decade worth of top 10 recruiting classes stacked on top of one another. Get it together.
In today's day & age, very hard to line up and get 5yrds a pop with no passing game. Let's be real. Need a running & passing game. Just need better football, less turnovers better blocking & tackling.

Kids also may want to live elsewhere just for a change. My daughter went to Oregon for a year then transferred back to Nebraska. Kids are young and want to live there life after high school. Even though she grew up in a husker house she wanted to get out.
Visiting & living are different. They may go & not like it. Keep good relationships and ya never know
