I’m a generously sized fellow. I give this recipe five double chins.
salt+sugar+msg is for sure the magic combo.
The only reason I like double dredging dry+wet+dry, is that it tends to hold the "crust" together better, so that when you take a bite, it doesn't separate from the actual meat underneath, if you get what I'm saying. It just ends up holding together better in my experience.
I just think if you're adding salt at the end you're fucking out and missing out on the point of salt.
@@Kefka2010 “fucking out” please clarify?
What is msg?
@@Kefka2010 lmao were you drunk when you wrote this?
@ThisNameIsFake hey bud, it's been 8 days with update. Can we get an explanation on the "fucking out" part?
a few notes (:
- both the 1st and 2nd fry are both at 300
- "magic" is just salt with sugar and MSG (like a 4/1/1 ratio)
- i don't think i'll ever go back to the flour, buttermilk, flour method ever again haha
- the best brine is buttermilk + another acid (lemon juice, pickle juice and hot sauce are all dank)
live a good life (:
Senpai said "ratio" 😳
Wow, I would have never guessed 300 gives you a good cronch

Kids got crushed to death at a hotel in my hometown. The hotel owner was held responsible, which was so sad because he didn’t intend for it to happen. The cops ended up searching his house, and it was all over the news that the hotel owner had a large quantity of drugs (before the substance was even tested). Everyone talking about the magic seasoning, I WANNA KNOW HOW HE FRIED CHICKEN ON WOODEN TABLE
My guess is convection
He's explained it before he just gets it hot on stove and then sets it over on the mat for filming.

There's so much oil there that he doesn't need to heat it up while cooking.

The sugar in the dregde is not sugar but cornstarch
For people who are not american:
4 cups equals 1 liter buttermilk
I'm not sure how you're supposed to measure rosmary in cups but it's probably round about 3-4 twigs of rosmary
2.5 cups equals 300 grams of flour
1 cup cornstarch equals 100 grams of cornstarch
@@TheBE730 thanks, I was thinking the same, surely it’s cornstarch not sugar!
Anyone else wondering what the magic wooden heating pad is??
He just puts it on the wooden pad to film for a few moments he fries it on a normal stove
The stove is near the table
Wireless frying
Wow okay then I am dumb xD. I really thought that it's some kind of magical stone that retains a large amount of heat and he just heats it up and uses it for his videos to cook.
@@MFateh2000 your not alone. I literally tried to Google what it was 🤣😂🤣😂
can't wait till senpai gets his own branded Bluetooth heater for the pans. then we can all cook the senapi way

Give the people what they want, come on!!!! Looks delicious also as per the usual
Wow! I love the generous amount of seasoning on there.
My kinda guy😂😌
Its not in the breading stage so it won't be salty 😁. I usually do a yogurt batter I don't waste eggs on binding the breading. So people do a mayo batters. The mayo batters works well on frying fish

Thanks for telling me to never do chicken otherwise. Im glad I know all the spices just by looking at them
Dat crunch is music to my ears 🤤🍗
Thank you so much for listing the ingredients in the description. Hate it when I see something I would love to make and the instructor move like Warp speed.
Or use equipment that no normal person would have in their kitchen.
After working at Popeyes I just fry my chicken like I did at Popeyes. Only thing I add is pickle juice and jalapeno juice to the overnight marinade with all the other spices
How do they fry it? Like what's the batter
Can you please tell us how you did it at Popeyes?
Popeyes and KFC both have the chicken injected with brine at the chicken processing plant. That's what most all copy cat recipes miss.
@@CypherDND From what I've read they soak the chicken in water, marinate it in spices and double dip it twice in both dry flour and egg batter.
Oooh, pickle juice. This gives me some ideas
So full of crispy, crunchy goodness.
I'm 73 years old, I mentioned this to someone resently that I remember having to pull Left feathers out of the chicken because we killed our own. And we didn't have to put all those seasonings because the chicken was off our farm and tasted great.

Asking the same question
How to make it even better: coat it in flour first, then the wet batter, then flour again, and lastly the batter. This way it will trap the juice inside. The downside is, if the batter didnt hold, the oil will be very angry.
That crunch 🤤
Wtf is that heating pad and where do you get them always trips me out

Separate marinade. Make dredge a little thinner double dunk. Season the dry batter
THE MAGIC SEASONING!!!
Please can someone tell me how that wooden tray thing keeps things so hot on that table, am I missing something??
It can be difficult to film in certain kitchens. I think he brings the hot pot/pan over to the table for video purposes only, gets his footage, than goes back to the stove. That’s my guess at least.
I always thought that those things were producing the heat but after looking into it it just helps retain heat
I’m going to try this with extra firm tofu
Lol that's gay
Hope you indicate the ingredients of batter and the flour seasonings too so we can try it on our own. Thanks
That looks way to yummy nothing like a man that can cook bless him

please, anybody, save us from this torment.
my guess is he got the oil bubbling hot on a burner, then took it to the table just for 30~ seconds to get that nice bubbling shot
Yooooo I need to know, I’m gunna lose sleep over this
What is that wood pad you always cook with. I’m so curious!
right?
It's a troll lol 🤣
It's just a mat and he places the hot pans and utensils on it for just a shot to troll us but I gotta appreciate him for his effort for that one shot on every vid
Bro got the bluetooth fire
12 minutes wit the drum, bro i used to work at KFC
Wait can I ask how are you cooking on your table I’m confused???
Lol right
Master cook. Don't try this.
Pro Tips: Let sit overnight in batter, season and bloom batter prior to placing on chicken, use smaller pan to make batches, keep warm in oven, this will save oil, and the chicken will not burn at the bottom of the pan (You want the chicken to float fry, or "deep fry", so use small pan with high sides). make only 2 or 3 wings at a time. only 1 large piece at a time. Dont worry, you have time to wait there is no rush. Americans have this mysterious "I dont have time for this or that" mentality that is really a big problem.
Use the oven to keep food warm, if you have toaster oven even better, set on medium and put all the pieces in there to finish cooking and crisping.
Thanks for generalizing all Americans.
“Stir it up…if you feel like it😏” 😂😂😂
Always season your flour too, and once fully coated let it rest to absorb a bit into that batter before you fry. It will save your grease from going cloudy and dark with all that flour falling off otherwise awesome job! I'm interested in that apple Cider Vinegar secret salt ypu spread on afterwords I bet that's yum
bro how are you cooking that over a wooden table?? im confused lmaooo
Lol the oil is already heated haha
When the Asian guy doesn’t know you’re supposed to do the second fry at a higher temperature than the first fry.
lol that’s wild to sprinkle MSG on top 😂. Try an alternative recipe without MSG and use seasonings like paprika, cayane, garlic, onion powder, cumin, white pepper, salt and tiny bit of sugar.
Msg isn't bad. Bragg's Aminos are bad.... Hippies ......
anyone notice how this and jeanells video was uploaded at the same time???

uh yes senpai, your chicken is flowing with juices😫

Crunchy AF, but just a little too dark tho. That first fry color was spot on.

Homie, msg occurs naturally in pretty much every meat, mushrooms, anything savory really. You’ll be fine

Great recipe Senpai but if I could make one alteration it would be to put the MSG in with the batter marinade.
Where I live the MSG that's available has a glass shardlike texture which gives a rather unpleasant mouth feel. I feel it works much better when it's dissolved either by the fat of the meat or in a sauce.
But that's just a suggestion.
What is that circular mat called? The one he uses for heating up the oil?
i knew that magic powder has msg before he said it lol. It’s msg that makes you “want more” it makes the food appetizing. Im sure everyone knows that already
