I saw the damage buff, with mechanical rage and range upgrades they are again making waves. Thank you for pointing this out and being a continued inspiration for me.
I might have known but forgot, but it wasn't until this recent buff to fangs, did I realize they actually do more damage per shot than Mustangs. Less rate of fire, yes, but I didn't understand they were so strong. I've been playing with them as well.
I've always spammed the heck out of fangs with range. They make outrageously strong fillers/carries even. They just need strong tank/support for em as you do with anything else really
As far as I know, the only things that do less damage than Mustangs are Steel Balls and Melting Points for the first about eighth of a second they start attacking. Both Mustangs and Typhoons do their damage because of their fire rate, not their actual damage per shot.
Honestly fangs with range are nice for screening your midboard damage dealers, they deal nontrivial damage early on and if you're throwing a decent chunk of other stuff out front, a bunch of the enemy's horde clear will be too dead or damaged to deal with the fangs once theyre exposed.
I've been doing a bit of fang plays lately. Played a few games of hacker/fang pushes for funs sake cause there's a lot of folks still trying out the tarantula. I'm 1-4 sofar, but the guy who lost made it all worth it since his only comment was "I can't belive I lost to this." This was at around 1600-1650 mmr. I enjoyed hacker/fang back in the day, so mostly doing it out of curiosity. There's just too many units that are good at sweeping fangs from the board these days - their reduced range really they lost a lot of their ability to bite back against units that counter them. It's a much more one sided exchange vs mustangs for instance.
I’ve been fighting fang gaming and beating it horribly, yes. They just lose the second you get anything with fire online or some stangs. I think I saw Sacco do a fang spam once that worked well though earlier into the patch.
Waiting on a sale! I just missed that last one a few days ago because I was researching the game. Now I've watched a crazy amount of your videos and grubby's and this game looks sick!
Spectated a game between wOOt and thewhiteoftheegg. egg also went hacker fang this game and was dominating wOOt's mustangs with just mech rage + range. wOOt also had wraiths with armor+maintenance and they couldn't survive. Until round 9 where egg went ap bullets on fangs and wOOt went mech rage + replicate + drills on crawlers and completely turned the game around and won in 1 round.
Hey Surrey, I assume we've got AI music in vids for this and the last one, love it aside from high pitch loops on round 3 in this one and throughout the middle of last one. They're drilling a hole into my brain 😅. Aside from that, love your vids as usual, keep up the good work!
Yea i think i need some chaff here. Going badgers probably requires me to go range and napalm on them. Then i burn my own chaff if i do it. Then the fortress comes or in this case hacker and instalocks onto my units. Feel like mustang provide a better late game plan in this situation
The round that melting point was picked I was thinking storm callers would have been better. They seem to melt shields very quickly. And fangs since fangs don't move. Is picking storm callers in that game over melting point a bad idea?
even without the damage they do they are very good chaff for end game with their shield they can take the hit for more important units I love the fangs!
My biggest question watching this is - when to upgrade vs not upgrade something? For example the crawlers not being upgraded in favor of upgrading a tarantula confused me.
At that point in the game there were still sledgehammers, upgrading the tarantula will allow it to kill the sledges faster. while level 2 crawlers still get 1 shot by sledges. + levelled tarantula has a better chance of killing a hacker.
Well couple storms are good against shields if you need to damage before giants but not good vs fangs once they have some support. Played this matchup way too many times back in the days
And here we see again how 1 melting point turns the whole game around from a total lose of his units to total win. The evidence this unit is totally overpowered. Lost so many games to this card or unit switch. Fkking balance this shit unit.
@@jepasdenom7643 Actually incorrect, the yellow contains a higher concentration of nutrients, including a higher concentration of proteins than the white, at least when talking about chicken eggs. None of that really matters, though, because my comment was an obscure pun based on a German saying.
@@TwoGish Yolk contains more calories and more fat, I wasnt talking about the concentration, but the thing you want. If you want a healthy diet for the gym and consume lot of eggs you want to avoid too much yolk for LDL. 😉

20:15 I like how your crawlers decided to push a mustang outside the shield.
yea happens a lot. Hard to position even if you think about
good old hacker + fangs, didn't see it for few months

Are fangs back? Proceeds to build tons of crawlers

I hope - one day - you get rly succesful with youtube, so that you dont need to play Mechabellum on a Gameboy anymore.
have you seen much fang gaming this patch? :D

I actually just faced someone who did exploding rhinos with coating, and then masses of fangs behind
Barely managed to deal with it.

Torahampaissani kolottaa, purevatko ne vielä...
Can someone pls explain why I see people put units in length formation and behind towers?
it makes the unit split up to run around the tower, rather than running in a solid block. then the unit spreads out better
This feels more like a mustang game than a fang game, but ggwp
Well, your opponent wasn't exactly theyellowoftheegg, no wonder they lost to you :D
