- Welcome to Sterlington, A place where the settlers are worked like dogs, For long hours in the heat and snow on very little food. All in the pursuit to build a glorious castle for the tyrant Sterling.
In this series we are playing on standard difficulty, on a hillside map running the a new life scenario. Starting with three settlers Alfred, Elenor and of course Sterling.
In this episode we turn a big piece of chocolate cake into a wall. We have a fire drill, and we learn little Sterling should do track and field.
A New Life
The plague had ravaged the British Isles, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Untold millions went to an early grave. And those left standing were plunged into poverty, brutally scarred by the horrors that they had witnessed. Nothing would ever be the same again.
As the earth quickened in spring of the year 1353, Sterling, Elenor and Alfred set off into the wilderness to claim a piece of the land as their own, as was their right, in the eyes of God and under the Law. Here, they may lay down the foundations for some kind of future. Perhaps hope will follow.
Good land is there for the taking, In all four corners of this once mighty land, citizens are rebuilding in the hope that the horrors of the past few years can be left behind. It's possible that there will be fighting, drought, sickness, hunger but what of it?
'Life goes on,' says Elenor, 'and so must we.
Into a landscape of rolling hills and ancient, crumbling forts the companions trekked. Each ascent rewarded Alfred with a view that stretched for many leagues. No enemy approach would go unseen, he thought. They built a camp that would, in time, become the settlement of Sterlington.

Trees planted about the castle grounds would be a great decoration to add some life outside of more utility based growth, like the rest of the farms. A tree farm would also help with the preservation of the world’s “natural” look that u’re going for, I’ve never actually planted trees myself to farm wood tho
Its funny you mention this, I only just finished working on episode 34 and that is exactly what I do. Except i don't build it in the castle grounds. No spoilers.
