It’s interesting to hear them argue with generic Southern Baptists. Personally, I’m not sure which is worse. I mean, it’s true that Westboro Baptists are upfront with their idea that God hates the LGBT+ community, but Southern Baptists feel more manipulative sometimes. They go on and on about how God loves everyone but then talk about how he will burn LGBT+ people alive for eternity. I think they do terrible things and justify it through love. At least Westboro’s upfront about what they think. Just a side thought, though.
I’m a Southern Baptist so I understood even though it’s not true. She’s basically saying Christ died for the sins of the people who are going to heaven. She said the elect, so I’m guessing she believes that people are destined to go to heaven, that it wasn’t out of their own free will to choose Jesus as their savior. The truth is he died for everyone’s sins, even the ones what won’t go to heaven. It’s in John 3:16. He saves the ones who trust in him but he died for everyone, even the ones that go to hell. It’s up to us whether or not we go to heaven. God promises to save everyone who trusts in him. I’m also a transman, just wanted to say that cause I seem a bit out of place lol.

The only way to make people stop experiencing gender dysphoria is by transition. You can't "correct" them. If you tell them that they are wrong, they will still experience dysphoria. The only way to make that dysphoria go away, if they are 'really' trans and the feeling doesn't dissappear after a while, is by helping them. You also said "All children growing into being adults feel confused and do some odd things. That's normal." But not only children are lgbtq or experience gender dysphoria. There are lots of lgbtq adults. You said "a real man corrects mistakes and helps them on the right path". Ignoring the fact that that statement is slightly sexist, I agree. BUT gender dysphoria, or being lgbtq, is not a mistake. It's not something you choose to be, because you are born that way. Scientists say that there is indeed a difference between your sex and your gender (gender is in your brain) and that trans people know this from a very young age. It's not a "mistake" just like it's not a choice.

@Matt H. Again, people in our community may be the majority of HIV/AIDs cases, but that's because of the lack of sex education. Keep in mind that the AIDS epidemic happened in the 80s. Many gay men felt broken, because of being rejected by their families. Many of these were disowned and would find community and support in night bars. Depression is a huge factor in drugs, sex, ect. And lastly you get HIV from having unprotected sex with someone who has who has HIV. Two people who don't have it can't get from each other. Sad that people like you use that against are community.

My friend said that in class one day...and she didn’t get detention, the teacher got fired because she got into this whole argument with my friend because being gay or anything like it is a “sin” and my principal didn’t agree with that so and she was disrespecting my friend. Also she’d done a lot of other things at the school that the principal didn’t like and that was the last straw.
