Ok a few things! In case you missed my text over the video... the mascara did NOT wear well on the lower lashes. Fabulous on the uppers (doesn't have an issue when I only put it there, as I've realized since shooting this), but wouldn't recommend on lower lashes. The foundation looked a lot better later in the day when applied with a Beauty Blender - I think it gave it a much more natural look. And also... that Mario product is intended for use as an eye primer! So naturally it worked well for that, but I really just assumed it was a concealer kit! (although I suppose one could interpret concealing under the eyes as "eye prep" as well)... either way, I'm a fan! Loving it as a concealer. Thanks for watching & have a great day!!

I wish there was CT face palette for deeper skin tones
I watch and love Tammi Clarke here on utube, she is on IG too. But she has a deeper skin tone, not super deep but she is a beautiful darker skin girl. And she uses a CT powder that she LOVES! And it looks gorgeous on her skin tone! I'm not sure the exact shade she uses but maybe you can check out her channel, one or two of her latest few videos she uses that powder. And I'm sure she says the shade I just dont remember it, and she usually always lists what she uses in the description box. If you're looking for a deeper shade, maybe that will help. I've never had the chance to use that powder myself. I love my fenty powder and you get a TON of product for the price.

I have never bought those Charlotte tilbury palettes and I don’t feel I’m missing out. I feel really locked into the same look even if I was traveling with it. I prefer to build my own z-palette (do we remember those?) and have several looks with all products I can use! I think people forget they can build their own palettes. That would be a good video idea...what would you put in a magnetic palette to travel with.

I wish multitasking pallets came in more shades and were more inclusive. I am trying to find one that would show up on my skin and be good quality.
I actually almost picked up the CT face palette but then I came across the Balm Alternative Rock vol 2 palette. The shades are really flattering on my medium/tan skin tone, plus the Balm products are good quality 😊

Ohh-kay... wow, I REALLY LIKE how the Mario eyeshadow base blanked out/concealed your lids! It made a beautiful difference (in my opinion) in the brilliance of the shadows! Like the pigmentation on your lids isn’t effecting the eyeshadow color, making the eyeshadow look incredibly brighter. I really appreciate that difference! 👍💚💜

I love the Charlotte Tilbury instant look in a palettes. I have last year’s gorgeous glowing, this year’s stone rose, also have the seductive palette and Smokey palette. I am missing the natural glow palette to complete my collection. I love taking these palette on trips and also on days I am going to work after a workout. I like how CT offers some advice on how and where to use the colors, but I also like seeing all the colors that can be used anywhere. Need a brown bone highlight? Use the highlight. Want a more pink shadow look, use the cheek swish and pop colors. Use the bronzer as eye shadow. Pat a bit of blush on the lips and add a lip balm or lip gloss. Just so versatile.

I love using the highlight as a topper on top of the eyeshadows as a topper! It brightens everything up so nicely! I will also sweep only the highlight over my eyes on my “no makeup, makeup” days!

Even with a brush I think it’s key with this foundation to use a small amount. Too much can easily take you over the edge.its actually an awesome foundation.

A trick I try for some liquid foundations is to use a brush fir coverage and to blend it into the skin s little more with a sponge! Keeps coverage where you want it while really blending in other areas you don’t want!
Looooove the NARS Climax Extreme Mascara! I wipe a bit off on a paper towel before using because I prefer a dryer texture but it performs so well! The CT foundation has always looked like a nightmare on me. I'd say one of the top worst foundations for my skin - I always looked so crepey when I wore it. Glad to see some of the products in action I had planned on getting for the Sephora sale! :) Thanks, Em!

In the CT palette all the shades can be used as eyeshadows and eyeshadow No 3 can also be used as a blush

The Pretty Vulgar Nesting B* Face is a great multitasking palette. It’s a face palette but works great as an eye palette too.
I love the Colourpop lippies from your bundle! Its got shine and when I'm wearing my mask, I just blot it and it leaves a pretty stain most of the day.
Being a mom is hard and a makeup lover while being a mom is tricky so yes palettes has been a staple for me lately! Seems to work best!
My favorite is Laura Geller‘s five palette Party in a Palette she put out for the holidays. I paid $35 that’s including tax and shipping from QVC and this is the best set yet❤️I find these are great to travel with and to just grab one thing in the morning you can just pick which pallet you want to put on . It is an eyeshadow palette but also includes a blush and highlighter and you get five different color combinations.🎊

Love the pretty, soft look, including the lippie. Very romantic vibe. The way that mascara worked was crazy instant! Just finished watching while I also watch my Michigan Wolverines battle Minnesota for the Little Brown Jug. We went to a cider mill today, so I didn't watch in the morning like I usually do on Saturdays.

I love those all in one palettes, especially for traveling or a quick look! Every time i would take my son to children's for chemo/ transfusions/ surgeries, I'd pack a palette like that incase i felt like getting ready or to take my mind off stuff while he was sleeping. As for the foundation, i never tried it with a sponge but I'm going to now! I have oily skin and it lasts all day without separation(which is hard to find) but it's kind of heavy feeling. Also, the scent is too much for me! If it didn't hold up all day and was so dependable, i don't think I'd like it.

I second Paula’s amazing comment below. I was looking at The Needs palette yesterday thinking how much I’d LOVE an update, but in a smaller purse-sized package. Maybe even w refillable &/or customizable pan shades you could select based on whether you need warm, cool, dark or light options. It truly was and is genius. You are so universally adored that you could probably approach any brand and they’d be over the moon to work w you. 💄💕
So, Emily, I watched this vid earlier this morning (great vid btw), but I had to pop back on here and let you in on something. I was just sitting here scrolling through pinterest, and I caught a makeup company using your image in an ad. It was when you reviewed that gimmicky, 2 shadow, 1 swipe eyeshadow. It's the one with 2 shades and a sponge applicator that you are supposed to be able to give it a swipe on your lid and get the lid color and highlight color all in one swipe. Do you remember what I'm trying to explain here, lol. I couldn't believe what I saw. I said to myself, holy crap, that's Emily!! They used a clip of your video from when you reviewed that product, and as I remember, it wasn't all that it was supposed to be. Anyway, I thought you might be interested to know that. I love that Charlotte Tilbury foundation. I received 3 samples because I placed three Sephora orders. Its the only CT product I own actually and I really like it. It doesn't wear that great but it looks beautiful for a few hours which is how long I typically wear makeup before I wash it off.

Emily, you look beautiful! I love, love, love the CT Instant Look In A Palette! My own favorite is the Smokey Eye Beauty, which has gotten me through so many vacations and other trips, and is now my go-to during the pandemic. I love that the bronzer in it is a cooler shade, which suits my cool, pale skin tone. For day looks, I use the Smoke shade as an eyeliner. I use a light hand with the lighter blush shade, and skip the deeper blush shade entirely. I love that the highlighter works on my skin tone (it looks way too gold in the palette, but is just a soft, cool, almost pinky shade on the skin). Anyhow, although it's not really five minutes, it is an easy an intuitive approach to make-up.

I used last years' palette for my wedding, and I agree I had trouble with that dark brown eyeshadow and thinking "huh?" But I used it and it looked great in the wedding photos, but it's harder for everyday looks. What I end up doing is using the bronzer shade, of which there is plenty of, all over the lid most of the time, and the dark brown on the lashline.
Proof that UA-camrs you invite into your life feel like “real life” friends? Seeing Em’s background reminded me, “Wait, isn’t Rhett about a year old now?!” and she read my mind and answered my question few minutes later. ❤️
