- i've always wanted to make a feathertail pmv with this song. a lot of content about feathertail is from other characters' perspectives (crowpaw, stormfur) or about romance. i wanted to focus more on feathertail's point of view.
in this pmv, stonefur's death was a really formative event for her. stonefur's sacrifice laid the foundation for making her the sort of cat who would jump to her death to save her friends and family, without hesitation. she struggles with loyalty to the warrior code vs loyalty to the cats she loves. part of her resents the clans for what they did to her and her brother, and mistyfoot and stonefur.
even after tigerstar was driven out, leopardstar never fully trusted her or stormfur, and while stormfur worked hard to be accepted, feathertail didn't think she should have to prove herself. and she never could forget that leopardstar was the cat who exiled graystripe, and brought tigerstar to riverclan. she's proud of her parents, and refuses to feel ashamed of herself. when she falls in love with crowpaw, she knows it worries stormfur, but she thinks, maybe, it's the warrior code that needs to change, not her.
moonrise was the first warriors book i ever read, so feathertail (and stormfur) will always be special to me.

I haven't cried about a warrior cats pmv before, but this one was so emotional that I couldn't help it.
The relationships and stories of Mistyfoot, Stonefur and their apprentices always made me emotional. Ik it's mostly headcanon, but I always saw Stonefur's death of having a huge impact on Feathertail and Stormfur, and leading to where the ended up in life.
This pmv is something I've wanted for a long time and it struck such a chord, thank you so much.
I absolutely love how you showed her motivation and struggles, instead of just focusing on the prophecy she was a part of. she was destined for it, but she still wrestled with it and her past.
Wow, this is amazing! I love all the designs, especially Midnight. This makes me think about Feathertail's death more. She died so far away from her home, fufilling the prophecy for cats that... well, weren't the kindest to her. I know that's not the purpose of this PMV, but it makes me think. The other cats had to return home and announce that Feathertail died along the way. She never completed her journey.
This is all super good, but I really love the way you drew Midnight in particular!!

Not only is the video a masterpiece, but the description- oh my god. I've never seen someone put so much thought on Feathertail, and the way you characterize her is very interesting and amazing! It's a shame we could never get a real insight on her personality
God I love Stonefur so much, I wish we could've seen more of him in the books ;o; this was a really awesome PMV, and I love the design you used for Feathertail! Might have to do some fan art
Late, but STRONGLY agree. We should get a novella about him. I feel like he was overshadowed by his sister since she’s leader of Riverclan, but to me, he’s the true hero for what he did out of love for his family. I always like him better than Mistystar. Every time I read his death, I start tearing up knowing that he’s completely forgotten by those around him. He didn’t deserve that😭😣
Did you mean Stormfur? Stonefur I believe was Bluestar’s kit. Stormfur is Feathertail’s brother.
@@FreddyFreakbear no I mean Stonefur. He was kind of feathertail's guide and a huge inspiration for her in this PMV because of his sacrifice to save her and stormfur

Feather tail was my favourite warrior .. I cried watching this.. all those adventures and the journey she had made only for it to end. It's sad that she couldn't see her new home and guide her friends. The new prophesy might be my favorite warrior series so far. I honestly feel so bad for storm fur who lost his whole family.
she was quite young of a warrior when she died too, and she had just started to fit in with riverclan

I love this so much! I love seeing someone who shows Feathertail not just as a cat that went on the great journey, or the person who died to save the Tribe. Man this is making me cry, Feathertail is one of my favorite characters!

It was always sad how at first she didn't get along with her clan mates for a long time and how just as she did she learned was chosen for a prophecy and that she might not survive, but it's good she forgave leopardstar and is now with her mother ( silverpelt ) in starclan 👍

In the book “A shadow in Riverclan” when she didn’t trust anybody for a while. That’s not really true bc she trusted storm’fur and misty’foot (mostly storm’fur).

I love your design of Midnight here, with stars in her eyes and fur; she looks like something out of a storybook. There was something magical about the journey to the lake territory.
My library didn't have the first book in The New Prophecy, so I started the second arc with Moonrise. Even though I missed out on the first part of their travels, I got attached to them quickly. You could really feel how close they all were. Feathertail's death was heartbreaking. She and her brother went through so much together, and then she sacrificed herself so he and the others could finish their journey. She's the reason the clans were able to find a new home.

If I was Graystripe and heard Feathertail was dead I would’ve been proud of her but also grieving for days
If I was Crowpaw and Stormfur I would be the same thing as the looks on their faces at 2:53 and would be very sad that their friend was walking in starclan and hardly ever seen again
If I was Feathertail I would be sad that I was leaving my brother/friends and sacrificing myself but would be happy to join her mother (Silverstream) in starclan kinda like bluestar when she joined mosskit in starclan
Why did the tribe ask the clan cats to help them. They could have just killed sharptooth themselves. If they’d just done it on their own then Feathertail wouldn’t be dead 🥺
