I feel like Bluestar and Whitestorm's relationship is pretty overlooked in fanwork so i wanted to make somethin that shows that :)

i also think that their dynamic is overlooked in the books, blue acted like a parent to whitepaw when snowfur died and thistle couldn't bring himself to, amazing job!
bruh, when telling whitekit that snowfur died she exploded in anger because whitekit wasnt understanding and was arguing with her saying why cant he visit her when goosefeather and featherwhisker see starclan all the time:
"YOU'LL NEVER SEE HER, OR TALK TO HER, FUR, OR FEEL THE WARMTH OF HER FUR EVER AGAIN. SHE'S DEAD, WHITEKIT."

i never imagined how hard and terrible whitestorm grieved when bluestar died, she was literally one of the only people that comforted him when snowfur died, and practically raised him
I love the addition of Firestar comforting Whitestorm, Bluestar took both of them under her wing and they both lost an important figure in their lives
They really were kinda like brothers
Oh how this warms my heart. The bluetstar family has always been my favorite, since Bluestars prophecy was my first warriors book ever it has special place in my heart. When she gave away her kittens it made me realize that whitestorm was that void fill for her as her sisters son was the last bit of family she had next to her. (Not counting her father)
i mean, technically stormtail wasn't much of a father to either of them. he barely cared at all and threw moonflower to the side as soon as she had his kits to instead chase after the apprentice/young warrior dappletail.
i do really love this animation and i deep inside would've hoped they explored this mother-son relationship between bluestar and whitestorm more.
Same! i read bluestars prophecy first and then went straight into the first arc, and i loved seeing their dynamic throughout 🤍

When I read the first series I always wondered why Whitestorm and Bluestar always had a close connection but when I read blue stars prophecy than I understood it all
I really love the mother-son relationship in this video😭 its really heart warming and I especially love the scene where it starts with bluefur sleeping with whitekit and ends with bluestar comparing her height with whitestorm… it really shows that she took care of him from his early life stage and is proud of how much he has grown

There's something about adopted or parent-figure/child relationships that I just love to death, and it's such a great shame how the books disrespect them so much. But this was done perfectly! Bluestar and Whitestorm's relationship had so much more potential than what we're given in the books. She practically raised him, after all.

I’m sobbing like a baby, this one hurts. Bluestar has always been my favourite, and the transition from the two kits to Snow and Blue just broke me like nobody’s business. A big like from me

I love how Whitestorm has Bluestar's ear pattern. I had to make sure to see if either of his parents had it, and nope! It is a beautiful design detail and I'm obsessed with it!
This is so heart warming, especially to think that Bluestar's sister, Snowfur, raises Mosskit (Bluestar's daughter in star clan.) and Bluestar raises Whitestorm.
EDIT: I am waiting for a snowfur mosskit animation now lol.

This is so beautiful! Bluestar has always been a character of immense tragedy to me, but it's nice to imagine that being reunited with her kin, especially Whitestorm, brought her peace.

i love this so much ;; i love found family/adoptive parents being focused on and showing how much time bluestar cared for whitestorm, it really makes the latter parts of the work sadder

We don't. His entire story was shown in Bluestar's Prophecy and TNP, his character arc (as a background/supporting character, that is) is complete, and there's next to no information we don't know about him. I'm not saying I wouldn't love a book about Whitestorm, but knowing all we do about him, it near-definitely won't happen.
@@fa1ryf0x3s I think that’s another problem with Bluestar’s Prophecy. All these characters in the first book are hardly fleshed out. And what’s worse is that this book started the ‘cousins dating their cousins’ problem, if you dig deep into the family trees. I think looking through them is ironically fun.

I like both ALOT. Than again i like MOST every Arc 1 character, except Leopardstar.
This is a very underappreciated relationship in my eyes, Bluestar had to practically raise Whitestorm, and personally, I wouldn't mind a story focused on Whitestorm just so we can have a bit more of a look at what he thought about Bluestar's sacrifice, no doubt he was sad, but since if I recall, it wasn't originally thought of that Bluestar & Whitestorm are kin, I wouldn't doubt if he just said some generic thing about Bluestar at her vigil, or nothing at all, idk, I haven't read any of TPB past into the wild, because I don't want to, and I already know what happens in the arc, I got the series spoiled long before I started reading.
*Okay, i'm rambling, what i'm trying to say is good job, I feel this really gives the adorable connection between Bluestar & Whitestorm justice! I'm always up for more Bluestar and Whitestorm, and really any interactions between cats and any other kin other than their parents and siblings, and we often don't even get that unless it's a plot device..*

I’m so glad someone made something with the dynamic between Whitestorm and Bluestar! I haven’t seen anyone else do a take on this yet. Props to being original! And this is done so well! It didn’t need a ton of movement to tell the story and was engaging without being overly flashy. Great job!

When Whitekit is playing with Bluestar (1:27), it looks almost exactly like when Snowkit was playing with Bluekit (0:44). I’m not sure if it was intentional, but still really nice symbolism anyways!

I always loved to think that bluestar was great to Whitestorm because the relationship wasn't really explored so much in the books .

It’s no wonder Whitestorm was so torn up when Bluestar’s mental state started declining. He was witnessing his rock and practically only parent fall apart in front of him and he had no idea how to fix it. Whitestorm and Bluestar have always been a favorite dynamic of mine in the series.
They both deserved better. They were kin abc the only kin Bluestar had in Thunderclan is Whitestorm. I literally cried when Whitestorm died. DANG IT BONE!

The thing that i dont like about super editions that happen in the past is that some cats can have such a good connection in the super edition, but in the main series, they rarely even interact. I wouldve loved seeing more whitestorm and bluestar interaction :(

If it wasn't for Bluestar, Whitestorm would've been just like Tigerclaw. Left by his parent then guided by the wrong cat into the wrong mindset. Honestly now come to think of it, i wonder what Bluestar felt (if she ever did) when she saw how Thistleclaw turned Tigerclaw and thought of the possibility of Tigerclaw being Whitestorm if she gave up on him. Did Thistleclaw see Tigerclaw as his son because of that similarity? Did Whitestorm realise the same thing when he got older and saw how Tigerclaw has become and because of Thistleclaw? How would Whitestorm feel about his father if he realised that?
Now this gives possibilities to AUs, where Whitestorm and Tigerclaw are switched up. Tigerclaw getting guided by Bluestar and Whitestorm raised by Thistleclaw. I want to see this happen if it hasn't been made already

Finally someone takes a look at it!whitestorm was like. A care taker for bluestar when she had dementia and bluestar was like a half mother to him when whitestorm was a apprentice and kit!when she died it was overlooked how much whitestorm was grieving
