      She was actually a Hutton, as in E. F. Her brother-in-law suggested Merrill as her stage name. Don't forget that on her mother's side she's Post Cereals. That's the REAL big money. E. F. Hutton was just pocket change.

      Dr. Livingstone I. Presume Actually her mother, Marjorie Merriweather Post, the richest woman in America, formed and ran General Foods which was a LOT more than just Post cereals - Birdseye, Maxwell House, Sanka, and on and on and on. Dina first married and had 3 children with the Colgate-Palmolive heir. She was enormously wealthy but so down to earth and incredibly classy.

      If she had 10 times less, 500 million. She could put it in a savings account and at just 1% interest, she would have 5 million in interest income a year. No one needs that much money. 5 billion would get 50 million in interest a year.

    • @Roholi
      @Roholi 5 років тому +1

      Leon Powe The $5 billion figure is dubious. She inherited about $50 million from her mother in 1973 and probably $20 million from her father in 1962. Over the years her fortune probably grew to $500 million. Just as importantly, I’m sure she was a recipient of numerous trust funds and those alone should have kept her quite comfortable.

    • @leonpse

      @@frostiethewestie52 Maybe it is and maybe it isn't. There are all kinds of ways to compliment people, to get someone to respond positively to a statement without it being deemed sexist or demeaning. Then, 1950s-1960s, it was expected for men to say 'cute' things like, 'so pretty' 'lovely to look at' 'you're a honey' without getting a heated response or a physical attack. Now, 2022, most everyone is angry and 'hurt' and defensive. Comes from the constant barrage of the media defining everything. Zo...I give no compliments and expect none. No positive build ups, no comparisons. Boring, isn't it?

    • @pepeboy234
      @pepeboy234 2 роки тому

      @@gusloader123 Claws are NOT nails! Bird's nails are on the tips of their toes. When a bird lands on a branch, the ankle bends and the Achilles' tendon is stretched. When the tendon stretches, it pulls on the toes and curls them around the branch. There is no muscular effort involved in holding onto the branch - it's automatic. Cats' claws, by contrast, come out of the front of their toes and act as tools that are used to catch and hold prey, tear meat from bones, defend their bearer, and climb.

    For "Stowaway" as a 1st clue, I would have whispered in sort of furtively looked around and maybe casually brought my finger close to my mouth and gave the clue "Shhhhhh....ip's..." Then as a next clue (or certainly at 13:28) I would have tried "Passengerrrr...?" Said in a hem-haw-ing sort of way indicating that it was questionable and maybe a bit secret. That very well possibly would have done it I think (especially after all the preceding clues:-)

    Normally, Paul Anka was a very good player on Password, ( as was Peter Lawford), but Paul reeaalllly dropped the ball on the Password "Villian".
    Seems like he had never seen a play or movie or a Cartoon which had a "Villian" in it. Good clue would have been "Hero" but nobody gave it. 1963 and the Cartoon "Boris and Natascha" would have been on TV. Many Westerns and Detective TV programs on TV in the late 50's, early 60's.
    As for the Password "Stowaway" ,,,, another word that should have been guessed. Clues could have been: "Ticketless" , "Passage" , "Criminal". "Intruder".
