- Disclaimer: Dua, in the technical sense of the word, is ONLY to Allah. Muslims who practice Tawassul and Istighatha are not making Dua, which is an act of worship, to the Prophet ﷺ.
Dua in a technical sense in Islamic terminology is calling out with the belief that the one being called to is worthy of worship and is completely independent.
When we use the word Dua in this sense, of course it is not allowed to do Dua to the Prophet ﷺ. Dua is only to Allah. And this is what is meant in the famous Hadith in Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasai, ibn Majah, and Musnad Ahmad, 'Dua is worship'.
Muslims who call out to the Prophets and the pious people do not believe they are worthy of worship and know that these individuals are totally dependant on Allah.
We must also note that even the word Dua itself (in its linguistic sense) does not always mean worship - in the Quran, Allah commands the Believers not to make their 'Dua' to the Prophet like their 'Dua' to each other -
لَّا تَجۡعَلُوا۟ دُعَاۤءَ ٱلرَّسُولِ بَیۡنَكُمۡ كَدُعَاۤءِ بَعۡضِكُم بَعۡضࣰاۚ
(24:63)
If the word Dua always means worship, this verse would validate worshipping the Prophet and each other!
But here, Dua just means calling, not worship. The verse simply tells Muslims not to call out to the Prophet by name like we call each other by name. This is a linguistic use of the word Dua.
The purpose of this video is simply to warn people who label certain practices (tawassul and istighatha) as shirk when these practices are not shirk according to Quran and Sunnah. The Sahabah themselves and the Salaf practiced Tawassul and Istighatha and never labelled them as shirk. We must go back to the understanding of the righteous predecessors and the consensus of Sunni Islam. Don't take the burden of accusing Muslims of shirk into your grave.
May Allah guide the Ummah and grant us unity.

Accept his intercession in my favour.
This video in my subjective opinion of course demonstrates the difference between some bloke and the genuine article so thank you for this
This is a succinct but comprehensive explanation of the true beliefs regarding intercession of the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him).
May Allah reward you.
Mashallah that is a great explanation. Please, brother, keep these videos up. We need more videos to educate us about this wahabi/Salafi fitna. May Allah bless you and raise you with the prophets in the hereafter. Correcting faith is the work of the Prophets.

No, the funny thing is that these wahabis keep giving talks that "oh muslims what has happened to you .. don't u know we had conquered half of the world..we have to be like Usman, we have to be like sultan Mehmet..etc" they all were Sufis and we know tawassul is one of the key things in Sufism...
So why u glorifying kafirs😂
Please discuss how we decide who we can do tawasul to after they die. Or what happens if you go to any Muslim grave to ask for intercession, eg if one was to go to their own mother's or father's grave to ask for intercession

Good to see my you brother.

Going to saints is tricky one because how do you know they were muslim.
One narration which is relevant is the narration of Malik al-Dar:
It is related from Malik al-Dar, `Umar's treasurer, that the people suffered a drought during the successorship of `Umar, whereupon a man came to the grave of the Prophet and said:
"O Messenger of Allah, ask for rain for your Community, for verily they have but perished," after which the Prophet appeared to him in a dream and told him: "Go to `Umar and give him my greeting, then tell him that they will be watered. Tell him: You must be clever, you must be clever!"
The man went and told `Umar. The latter said: "O my Lord, I spare no effort except in what escapes my power!""
This narration is authenticated by many scholars, such as:
1- Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani says in ("Fath al Bari", 2/495):
"وروى ابن أبي شيبة بإسناد صحيح - Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this with an authentic chain."
2- Ibn Kathir says in ("Al-Bidayah", 7/106):
"وهذا إسناد صحيح - this chain is authentic."
3- Al-Qastalani says ("Al-Mawahib", 3374):
"وروى ابن أبى شيبة بإسناد صحيح من رواية أبى صالح السمان، عن مالك الدار - Ibn Abi Shaybah has narrated this with an authentic chain."
4- Al-Samhudi says ("Khulasa al-Wafa", 1/417):
"ومنه ما رواه البيهقي وابن أبى شيبة بسند صحيح عن مالك الدار - Al-Bayhaqi and Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this authentically on the authority of Malik Al-Daar."
It is also authenticated by: Al-Zarqani, al-Haythami, Ibn 'Allan, and many other Hadith scholars.
It was also used by scholars to proof the miracles of the Prophet, such as Bayhaqi.
Is wearing nike shirk or not shirk?
Wasn't the man asking the Prophet ﷺ to make dua for him to be his companion in jannah, and the Prophet ﷺ dua is accepted by Allah, so he does have the ability to make him a companion in jannah?
Sent him straight back to Najd

6:50 with regards to this point, I don't know whether it's as a result of ignorance or what, but I have indeed actually come across some sunnis who make that claim, that you MUST go through the prophet ﷺ otherwise Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى will not answer you.
an interesting and well detailed analysis!

Amazing response!!!! This video has really put my mind to rest ❤️
Assalamu alaikum to clear the comment about the sahaba who asked messenger of Allah pbuh for for something and he ask “oh messenger of Allah (pbuh I ask you for your “compionship”in paradise” 26:00-29:00 the sahaba never ask the messenger for paradise (by you words of the quote) he asked him for his compionship with the prophet those are similar but two different Duas being asked. So if you want to make a point of Ali Dawah you proved his point technically in that quote and Allah knows best.
And then you explained they went in to sujood after together which shows the prophet is going to Allah after this request or Dua asked of the sahaba, in other sense messenger of Allah pbuh didn’t get up and leave with showing he answered his Dua alone without Allah and as you said that sahaba was in the present of the prophet while he was alive I’m not saying any other points isn’t true and Allah knows best but just to clear with your wording that Ali Dawah point was made through by which you quoted
2:16 Narrated by Hudhaifa bin Yaman(Sahih Ibn Hibban)
Intercession was accepted when the Prophet ﷺ was Alive not when he's dead.
And who put them conditions in place? Any hadith or Ayah? There is nothing which states that it is only for this worldly life.

Kharji Najdi Start Istedlaal Without Defining Uloohiyah SHIRK And Ibadah....!!
Can I please get something clarified. According to the brothers explanation, would this mean a man asking his idol is not shirk if they believe the idol only benefits under the will of Allah and not independently of Allah and they believe the idol is not a God
Also out of curiosity, why do some say ya 'insert name of righteous person' madad. What exactly are they seeking help for from a deceased person? If they were to be asked for help seeking a child under the will of Allah, is this shirk?
Two other observations. 1. The brother mentioned the tafsir ibn Kathir has been tampered with. Can this be proven? What's to say the narration he quoted is an addition in some copies, or placed within the text by somebody other than ibn Kathir? And the narration regarding the hunger, I can't see how this can be used as a proof as no request is made directly to the Messenger. I say the above seeking clarity and not to belittle the speaker.
It's shirk if you worship the idol. The example that you gave isn’t worshipping the idol so therefore it is not Shirk. However just because it's not shirk doesn't mean it's allowed either. It's not shirk but it is still haram. I hope that makes sense
# to ask the idol as you mentioned does not make it shirk, it's just a stone, its illogical as the idol is inanimate, cannot hear, but to ask allah through the blessings of a certain object which is affiliated to prophet or Saint is fine, as that thing now becomes blessed through this pious/close person of God, many proves for this.. in quran surah v93 yusuf alahisalam says " take this shirt of mine and place it on my father's face, his eyesight will be restored" the shirt was made a means of barakah because of its connection to a prophet...sahaba used things connected to the prophet and asked Allah through the means of such and such relic, even hair of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam .

You can ask directly to allah, no problem.
But allah himself says in quran surah maaida v35 "o you who believe fear allah and seek a means to him" ..
Both are fine.
@jinn6841 do u belive in some of the quran and reject some of it like the Jews did with their book!! Fear allah, I gave a quranic ayat, stop adding clauses in the verses. Clearly u didn't watch the video as proof was given for asking from the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam after his Demise... people like you are enemies of the beloved of Allah like the hypocrites, as Allah almighty says in surah al munaafiqoon v5" when it is said to them come so the messenger of Allah seeks forgiveness for you, they turn their heads away in pride"...
May Allah grant you guidance sincerely.
@Jinn the Shaykh in the video showed proofs from Sahabah and from giants of this Ummah who did tawassul. You cannot compare the Prophet peace be upon him with a layman, the death of a Prophet is different to a layman. If you believe martyrs are alive in a way we do not perceive, it should be natural to believe that Prophets are given a higher status and rank in the barzakh. You cannot simply say 'The Prophet is dead.' Because what are you trying to say? That the Prophet peace be upon him does not matter or that after death, he peace be upon him has no interaction whatsoever with his Ummah? You basically insult the Prophet peace be upon him whenever you simply say 'he is dead.' Wallahi, by the one who has created all of us, the Prophet peace be upon him knows us better than our own parents know us. Our connection with the Prophet peace be upon him is with the ruh, not flesh. Walhamdulillah.
@Jinn Tirmidhi relates, through his chain of narrators from ‘Uthman ibn Hunayf, that a blind man came to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and said, “I’ve been afflicted in my eyesight, so please pray to Allah for me.” The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “Go make ablution (wudu), perform two rak’as of prayer, and then say:
“Oh Allah, I ask You and turn to You through my Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy; O Muhammad (Ya Muhammad), I seek your intercession with my Lord for the return of my eyesight [and in another version: “for my need, that it may be fulfilled. O Allah, grant him intercession for me”].”
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) added, “And if there is some need, do the same.”
@Jinn Tabarani, in his “al-Mu’jam al saghir,” reports a hadith from ‘Uthman ibn Hunayf that a man repeatedly visited Uthman ibn Affan (Allah be pleased with him) concerning something he needed, but Uthman paid no attention to him or his need. The man met Ibn Hunayf and complained to him about the matter - this being after the death (wisal) of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and after the caliphates of Abu Bakr and Umar - so Uthman ibn Hunayf, who was one of the Companions who collected hadiths and was learned in the religion of Allah, said: “Go to the place of ablution and perform ablution (wudu), then come to the mosque, perform two rak’as of prayer therein, and say:
‘O Allah, I ask You and turn to You through our Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy; O Muhammad (Ya Muhammad), I turn through you to my Lord, that He may fulfill my need,’ and mention your need. Then come so that I can go with you [to the caliph Uthman].” So the man left and did as he had been told, then went to the door of Uthman ibn Affan (Allah be pleased with him), and the doorman came, took him by the hand, brought him to Uthman ibn Affan, and seated him next to him on a cushion. ‘Uthman asked, “What do you need?” and the man mentioned what he wanted, and Uthman accomplished it for him, then he said, “I hadn’t remembered your need until just now,” adding, “Whenever you need something, just mention it.” Then, the man departed, met Uthman ibn Hunayf, and said to him, “May Allah reward you! He didn’t see to my need or pay any attention to me until you spoke with him.” Uthman ibn Hunayf replied, “By Allah, I didn’t speak to him, but I have seen a blind man come to the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) and complain to him of the loss of his eyesight. The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Can you not bear it?’ and the man replied, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I do not have anyone to lead me around, and it is a great hardship for me.’ The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) told him, ‘Go to the place of ablution and perform ablution (wudu), then pray two rak’as of prayer and make the supplications.'” Ibn Hunayf went on, “By Allah, we didn’t part company or speak long before the man returned to us as if nothing had ever been wrong with him.”
Simply put it. Are you calling out to other than Allah
This is seriously a groundbreaking video that all Muslims should watch, there has been too much misinformation and emotional input in the ‘debate’ about Tawassul generally in the Ummah.

We’ll explained. Ali dawah is comedian!!!!
sound system is not good. Very low volume 😪😪😪
Then put the volume up pa ji , volumes fine

That story is shirk. He is asking intersession from the dead?
So why would
1) the companions not censor the individual for doing shirk
2) why would the scholars not mention after narrating this story that it is shirk
The point is that it can be shirk if the belief is of shirk but it is not always shirk in every case.
People Befor prophet Sallalahualyhiwasallam Used to Do Tawassul, People in time of prophet Sallalahualyhiwasallam Used to Do Tawassul, People in present Do Tawassul , People will Do Tawassul in Qiyamah ,
In Ali Dawa's narrative You Can't Do Tawassul in present 🤣
So tawassul on the prophet when he is dead rn is ok?
@@anasc8674
Prophet علیہ السلام is not dead.
The Hadith states: It was narrated from ‘Uthman bin Hunaif that a blind man came to the Prophet PBUJ and said: “Pray to Allah to heal me.” He said: “If you wish to store your reward for the Hereafter, that is better, or if you wish, I will supplicate for you.” He said: “Supplicate.” So he told him to perform ablution and do it well, to pray two Rak’ah, and to say this supplication: “Allahumma lnni as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilaika bimuhammadin nabiyyir-rahma Ya Muhammadu inni qad tawajjahtu bika ila rabbi fi hajati hadhihi lituqda. Allahumma fashaffi’hu fiya (O Allah, I ask of You and I turn my face towards You by virtue of the intercession (waseela) of Muhammad the Prophet of mercy. O Muhammad, I have turned to my Lord by virtue of your intercession (waseela) concerning this need of mine so that it may be met. O Allah, accept his intercession concerning me)”.
The hadith of Ibn Hunaif the prophet ﷺ was alive with the blind man and they both made the same dua, he was hayatul dunya not barzakiyyah its like me asking you to make dua for me on a matter, you're alive and have the ability, the Prophet ﷺ said In a narration in Musnad Aḥmad
"no one can seek help through me, indeed Means of help is through Allah t'ala alone" Narrated Hasan, this does seem to corroborate and perfectly compliment the quran in surah fatiha "Iyaaka nabudu wa iyaaka nasta'een"
You alone we worship, and you alone we ask for help.
So seeking a means through Auliyah, martyrs and prophet as intercessors surely that is exactly what the Kuffar of qur'aysh did with the 360 idols, they believed in the rububiyah of Allah Aza wa jal, that he is the Lord over all, and these little God's are intercessors similar to people who pray through the prophets.
And even if we used the Hadith as Ibn Hunaif RA, how does that mean we can make Tawassul through Awliah?
Also in another hadith, Anas ibn Malik reported: If a drought became threatening, Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, would ask Al-Abbas ibn Abdul Muttalib to supplicate for Allah to send rain. Umar would say, “O Allah, we used to ask our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to supplicate for rain and you would bless us with rain. Now we ask the uncle of our Prophet to supplicate for rain, so bless us with rain.” And so it would rain.
Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1010
When they replaced using the Prophet ﷺ as a means for using Al-Abbas instead, it was understood that what they did in his life became impossible after his death, unlike using him as a means by having faith in him and obeying him, which are legislated for all times.

U can also make dua directly to Allah عزوجل, no problem
If you know Allah truly cures and is the Ultimate giver of cure why not just ask Allah for cure and only Allah when you get ill? Why do you do to the doctor?
From your logic, don't get a plumber to fix your pipes, or a builder to fix your broken door. Ask Allah then.
Then you shouldn't ask the Prophet peace be upon him on Qiyamah either for intercession. Go directly to Allah.
Wallahi you are confusing the deen. The fact that you have to defend by saying “we do not believe that” or “nobody has those beliefs” already shows how you are twisting and altering the deen the fact it’s reached a point where you have to defend yourself by saying things like that shows that because of these illogical acts and beliefs you have gone to extreme lengths
Bro. It is true, no one has those beliefs which is stated by the Pseudo salafis. Wallahi no one does. It is all propaganda, they make the way we do tawassul sound like shirk and make false claims about what we believe. So of course we have to refute them and stop this spreading of misinformation. Tawassul has been practiced by the sahabah and for the past 1400 years by Muslims. Recently these new groups like 'Salafi' or 'deobandi' have been misguided and spreading wrong teachings.
Or it shows how the lack of academic integrity of those who disagree with this position
because you have the same beliefs of ahle sunnah but you lie about them to call them kuffar

This narration is authenticated by many scholars, such as:
1- Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani says in ("Fath al Bari", 2/495):

It is also authenticated by: Al-Zarqani, al-Haythami, Ibn 'Allan, and many other Hadith scholars.
It was also used by scholars to proof the miracles of the Prophet, such as Bayhaqi.
You won't accept it even if Hazrat Jibreel AS comes down to tell you personally. You are not looking for truth rather defense of your worldview and creedal standpoint. You don't care about the truth. For you, it's necessary to stay firm on your deluded understanding otherwise Arab scholars will lose their status as the only ones with the so-called correct understanding of the 'manhaj' . You can't stand the fact that scholars around the globe were right all along, and you were fed Ibn Tayymiyah RA's narrow understanding of this issue which was not taken by any other scholar in this fashion in the 700 years prior to his birth. Your whole conception of non Arabs will collapse if you let go of your ego and accept that they can also be right.

رواه البزار ورجاله ثقات.
Translation: Allah has angels on the earth - other than the [two] record-keepers - who keep a record [even] of the leaves that fall on the ground.** Therefore, if one of you is crippled in a deserted land where no-one is in sight, let him cry out: Help O servants of Allah**
**Imam al Haytami **said after this hadith: It is narrated by Al-Bazzar and all its narrators are reliable (thiqa).
**[Reference: Majma uz Zawaid, Volume 10, Hadith No. 17104]**
This hadith is not only authentic but rather it has been “PRACTICED UPON” by great Imams
**Translation: **Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Hanbal (rah) said that he heard his father (Imam Ahmed) who said: I performed Hajj 5 times, thrice on foot and twice on ride or he said thrice on ride and twice on foot, once when I was on foot I lost my way hence I started to exclaim this: O Allah’s servants show me the way (يا عباد الله دلوني على الطريق), I kept on repeating this until I came back on track.
**
[Imam Baihaqi in Shu’ayb ul Iman, Volume 6, Page No 128, Hadith No. 7697]**
After Imam At-Tabarani transmitted the hadith of calling out : O Servants of Allah, Help me! In his Mu'jam al Kabir (17/117) he said “this has been acted upon (وَقَدْ جَرَّبَ ذَلِكَ)”
**So Alhamdulillah the great Muhaditheen themselves acted upon it and approved it, had there been a hint of shirk in this then they would have mentioned it!**
**Mulla Ali al-Qari al-Hanafi explains:**
"The intended is the Angels, or the Muslims from the Jinn, or Rijal al-Ghayb, who are named the Abdal [Awliya]."
**- Hirz at-Thamin.**
**Imam Muhammad ibn Ali ash-Shawkani explains:**
"In the Hadith there is evidence of the permissibility of Istia'anah (seeking help) with those whom a person does not see from among the Servants of Allah, from the Angels and the righteous Jinn, and there is no harm in that, just as it is permissible for a person to seek help from Bani Adam if his mount becomes unmanageable or runs loose."

**Imam Yahya Ibn Sharaf an-Nawawi ash-Shafi'i explains:**
"I say: One of our great Shaykhs in Ilm (Knowledge) narrated to me, he lost his riding beast, I think it was a mule, and he knew this Hadith, so he said it, thus Allah brought it to him immediately.
I was once with a group, and my animal fled and they failed to find it, so I said it, thus I found it immediately without any means besides this statement."
