I’m a flight attendant. A lot of us use this incase we lose baggage as we are constantly travelling. Great investment 👌
Put your apple AirTag in your carry-on too! Full flights sometimes require you to have your luggage gate checked, especially if you’re in the last few boarding groups.

I don’t believe stealing is the issue. If it comes up missing you can always lock it then it is useless to a thief. The problem is if it is torn off the bag by machinery or airport personnel. Better to have it inside the bag. Most airport employees and customers have iPhones. It shouldn’t be a problem getting the AirTag to ping.

Very useful. Thank you for this. Will the air tag only pick up iPhone signals? Or any Bluetooth signal near by the AirTag to track it?
Just iPhones (which is ok as there are millions out there) although you can locate one using android but it’s a work around.

So you said it has to be near another iPhone to work for latest signal?? What if I throw my second back up iPhone in with luggage next to AirTag… will I be able to track it all the time with me normal phone I use?

I've put air tags on my kids and dog and my phone cannot pick up where they are at all. My son was watching a baseball game 3 blocks from my house with many other people and it still couldn't tell me where he was. Seems pretty useless.
Will it find my car on an underground car park (no phone reception) ?

It will. It doesn’t work off your phone network, but something else called UWB which will (should) work anywhere, even an underground car park.

I’m shipping some luggage a month ahead of my trip. Will the AirTag emit a sound after the three day period of sitting idle and then being moved. I heard that this is a problem with the tag? True?
you can take the speaker out very easily.. @@gdjmtravelschannel
there is a way to remove the speaker from the airtag so that it won't make a sound - example, if you have the airtag hidden in your car, and someone steals your car, they won't know that you have an airtag if it doesn't make a sound. I just watched a youtube video on this - don't have the link handy, sorry, but just search for it and you will find! @@gdjmtravelschannel

What is “ultra wide band” mean?
Connecting stuff over a small area using very little energy but across a wide bandwidth. Essentially means it’s an efficient way to connect things.
Does that 'other' iphone have to have it's bluetooth on?
Yes it does. But chances are if it sends from another phone, unless it’s in a field with only one phone passing, chances are it will be ok
