Ah what’s a few boat buck these days.
What are the specs of your motor vs boat displacement? Ie what HP diesel did you have and what is the approx HP equivalent now?
We are 30,000 lb displacement. The old diesel was a 62hp Perkins. The Electric motor is a 30 Kilowatt (twin 15 kilowatt). We have a 600 amp hour 48v AGM battery bank. It seems to work really well with the size of our boat.

We've just gotten it in the water a couple months ago. It works great but we are still not out cruising so we'll keep sharing our experiences as we have them.

Una pregunta ,cuando navegas a vela hay posibilidad que el giro de la hélice transforme el motor en generador 🤔🤔???
Sí, cuando la hélice gire por encima de los 5 o 6 nudos podremos generar electricidad. Pero debe suceder durante largos períodos de tiempo para generar algo significativo.

Where do you get your calculations at? I’m looking to get one but the specs say 16kw cont. 20kw max
We got our specs from Electric Yacht. When you talk with them, they will provide you with the details of what your boat is capable with the options they can provide. They use a combination of our boat metrics, prop size, batteries, etc to come up with the math.
Your ambient noise is excessive. Cam you edit that out?

We are hybrid electric. We do not have lithium batteries as they are cost prohibitive.
