Toyota seems to be shying away from turbo charged engines. Perhaps because they believe those engines won't be reliable/durable enough to reach the high mileage numbers they have a reputation for.

Been driving years with 12' corolla and going to buy skoda, because they are more 21th century and alot of space... i loved toyotas until i had to chance drive with new skoda superb, kodiaq. But corolla is still working these 6 years without problems and economical.

Almost good enough... They got the design right, but without a turbo petrol powerplant I am disappointed. I feel that this Corolla should have a performance model and should be an AWD Turbo with 280 kilowatts.
