Jack Warden--Darren McGavin--Peter Boyle.........great old-timers. Made it in movies and TV as well........You enjoy all these actors/acresses for years and suddenly they're gone.................................Life fades but their work remains.
A lot of good memories. I remember watching with family and friends. So many gone but still great memories. I hope we get to be together again in a better place. Thanks to the actors and actresses that bring back the memories whenever I see them on TV. Great song.
My goodness! I've never viewed TCM's in memoriam compilation before. This tribute, and the inclusion of some many more talented individuals, puts the Academy Awards video montage to shame. Very moving.
Fitting and sad that Jack Warden and Elizabeth Allen were the first two shown as they played Father and Daughter in "Donovan's Reef" with John Wayne back in '63.
Tamara Dobson and Shelley Winters played in "Cleopatra Jones" in July 1973.It was sad coincidence that both, Tamara Dobson and Shelley Winters died in 2006.Two great actresses gone. R.I.P.-TAMARA AND SHELLEY!
:LO( RIP TO ALL THE GREAT HOLLYWOOD PEOPLE!! YOU MADE ME LAUGH AND CRY ..THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!! Do not grieve at the passing of mortality, for life's but a thing of terrible gravity. And the planets gravitate around you,and the stars shall dance about you,and the angels in heaven adore you,and the saints all stand and applaud you. So faraway,so faraway and yet so close. Nick Cave, "Far Away, So Close"
All of the "TCM Remembers" videos are lovely and poignant and memorable! The song is exquisite accompaniment and it reminded me of the one with the Rickie Lee Jones cover of the song "Cycles". Anyone have it? I've been looking for it for hours after seeing this, and can't find it. Here's hoping! Thanks!
Interesting....usually there is one actor or actress who outshines the others and is the last one to appear but this time there were three of equal fame...and TCM did them all justifiable tribute. Very moving.
man...ALL that talent.....I cry every year when I see these tributes on tcm or Oscar night.....

This one was one of my favorites. So many great actors--Don Knotts was a favorite, in "The Incredible Mr. Limpet", and the guy from "Ghost".😢

Just wonderful.

This is my favorite, because of the song. I bought Robinella's album for this song, "Press On."
Brings back memories and how short life is for all of us.
Fitting and sad that Jack Warden and Elizabeth Allen were the first two shown as they played Father and Daughter in "Donovan's Reef" with John Wayne back in '63.
I could never forget this year, 2006, it was also the year, my beloved grandmother died.
RIP Darren McGavin "the old man"
Classic
Excellent song.
....forever....forever in our hearts....
So well done.....A way to say "goodbye" to personalities you've practically grown up with. It is sad, it's bittersweet. Life is so short....
Tamara Dobson and Shelley Winters played in "Cleopatra Jones" in July 1973.It was sad coincidence that both, Tamara Dobson and Shelley Winters died in 2006.Two great actresses gone.
R.I.P.-TAMARA AND SHELLEY!
This song had me in tears.
I was just watching "Ghost" and it breaks my heart a bit to know that Vincent Schiavelli no longer just playing a ghost, its sad.
Jack Warden’s duel role in “Used Cars”...So funny. “My boss is gonna have a heart attack when he see’s these numbers”. RIP Jack.
TCM always seems to find the perfect shots, bot in their year end remembrances, and in the shorter clips they often put up for individual performers
Hard to believe that it is 15 years gone by for Don Knotts ( and the others) , he lives on in reruns.
Great tribute! Poignant song.
TCM is a Smithsonian of film brought into our homes 24 hours a day. The only reason I have cable.
June Allysson, someone I would have loved to have met.
RIP.
Yes, Shelley Winters was a babe at one time. We were all bonny, once. 💙

I so love Marian Marsh. Missing you.
I got a shock when I saw this. I didn't realise Paul Gleason and Robert Earl Jones had died.
So many great names in there too will be sadly missed.
A work of Art.
Thanks. I wondered who made these. I never got to see this one.
So Beautiful
Adrienne Shelley's death was so tragic-she had so much to look forward to.
Yeah, too bad it was an "undocumented immigrant" that murdered her.
The class of ' 06 was impressive
i n eed a hardy drink after this ,, this is soooo moving .. who sings this ?
I had no idea Glenn Ford was alive that recently. :(
Very well done better that the Oscar tributes
so touching!
beautiful tribute, it so sad look that images
robinella sings this.its called press on.
i am too. we just have to enjoy this brief treasure called life.

*sorry I got confused - I thought it was James Earls Jones cos they look so alike (no surprise there being father and son!)
Not sure if it was released before his death but James Brown should've been in this tribute.
Does anyone have tcm 2007? By Badly Drawn Boy(Promises)?
Anthony Franciosa RIP paisan.
@Tabish29 It was up here on UA-cam until a few months ago....
@MIKESOWELL I saved the link. When I access it now it says video is private. Don';t know what that means. But thanks.
Could you send me the link?
Their too beautiful to die.
I cried like a baby too. I am afraid to die.
@lordalessan
not to mention Patrick swaze as well
@brawlerbob Yes.
Croc Hunter Steve Irwin was omitted. He made a movie.
Spoiled by 'artsy' transitions that had nothing to do with person being remembered, as was 2005 too.
It's insulting to me that Robert Sterling is not mentioned, doubly so since he was my cousin.
Indeed
It's the same in 2013 when TCM didn't include Paul Walker which at that year was the most shocking celebrity death.
Early 2006 wasn't a good for me a lot of things happen but fall 2006 was alright.
What about Edward Albert????
He's in 2005.
@@MrRobster1234 I think they mean his son.
