Fitting and sad that Jack Warden and Elizabeth Allen were the first two shown as they played Father and Daughter in "Donovan's Reef" with John Wayne back in '63.
Interesting....usually there is one actor or actress who outshines the others and is the last one to appear but this time there were three of equal fame...and TCM did them all justifiable tribute. Very moving.
I disagree. Vilifying white males is more popular than ever. Was there a little anti-semitic jewish banker sprinkled in there too? That champagne coming down into there enclosure had a bit of a holocaust vibe to me.
I would think that JP Morgan Chase people who took over the wreckage of WaMu were sorely tempted to do an ad showing the old geezer bankers walking into the ruins of a WaMu branch and shaking their heads "Unconventional Banking- hmmph! Close with "WaMu is now JP Morgan Chase. The Grownups are back in charge."
A lot of good memories. I remember watching with family and friends. So many gone but still great memories. I hope we get to be together again in a better place. Thanks to the actors and actresses that bring back the memories whenever I see them on TV. Great song.
I watch this commercial a ton, and show people all the time. If they were to make a time capsule, and needed a way to show douches of that time period, this would be the perfect piece to add.
Tamara Dobson and Shelley Winters played in "Cleopatra Jones" in July 1973.It was sad coincidence that both, Tamara Dobson and Shelley Winters died in 2006.Two great actresses gone. R.I.P.-TAMARA AND SHELLEY!
You never know!
Who came here from Scandaleisha?
0:27 Dah Wool High Doo Doo Doo Doo!
Just wonderful.
Don't need a boat to spread positivity though 😂
Who's behind Jeff Doucette

Not sure if it was released before his death but James Brown should've been in this tribute.
Woke anti White racism. Screw the demonRatic Party and it's minions.
This aged beautifully

Yeah...this commercial wouldn't fly today

A time when Old Navy represented true beauty in their styles 💐
Great Ad 💖
This one was one of my favorites. So many great actors--Don Knotts was a favorite, in "The Incredible Mr. Limpet", and the guy from "Ghost".😢
Their too beautiful to die.
small wonder the bank no longer exists
just randomly remembered this commercial so here i am
Absolutely loved this ad...Got me pumped to buy Cooper tires and at the time I had no idea wtf Cooper tires were!
Hell Yeah!!!!!!!
they cut out the song just when they were about to sing that they're also into cats :(
Hard to believe that it is 15 years gone by for Don Knotts ( and the others) , he lives on in reruns.
Was this an in-store ad?

Wow- WAMU went broke from being woke 13 years before it was cool.
Thirteen years since I first commented... I love this commercial! :D XD
I only watch to enjoy the best part 0:24
Anthony Franciosa RIP paisan.
This was the dude from the office season 3 !! Ayee
Jack Warden’s duel role in “Used Cars”...So funny. “My boss is gonna have a heart attack when he see’s these numbers”. RIP Jack.
Excellent song.
Would it be ok to run a commercial where a white guy keeps a bunch of black people penned up?
stop making everything about race you snowflake
You know the answer to THAT.
Brings back memories and how short life is for all of us.
Wow this commercial was uploaded when circuit city was still in businesses
now circuit city has a website but not open locally (you can still order electronics and gadgets from the website)
Yes, Shelley Winters was a babe at one time. We were all bonny, once. 💙
So Beautiful
It's insulting to me that Robert Sterling is not mentioned, doubly so since he was my cousin.
Indeed
It's the same in 2013 when TCM didn't include Paul Walker which at that year was the most shocking celebrity death.
I had the pleasure of editing this spot with the late great John Stertz when he worked for Fahlgren.
Fuck you.
Brings so much nostalgia. I was 15 tht summer of 06. Loved this commercial
Same here. I was obsessed with this commercial. Just made me feel so hopeful for my future lol
