The information shared in your last videos are very useful. i wait for your weekly videos. So basically a project go through different phases. in this video you talk about a concept design which is basically what you use in the early stage of a project to quickly visualise ideas to share to team and client. basically a concept design with limited details is useful also to see if the client is serious on developing the project and not to wast much time in sketching visualisation if the project will not go through. Basically concepts design precede more complex designs. I am curious to know your progress. First concept in procreate, then more detailed sketch always in procreate, then sketch up + rendering for 3d version and then photoshop + illustrator + InDesign for presentation to client?

Man that was a long comment! Thank you for sharing. Yes you're pretty much correct, each project goes through phases, and these phases will have some variation in different countries, project types and clients. I typically work on large scale mixed-use projects that comprise a combination of retail, residential, hospitality and commercial. This channel is more focused on early concept stage sketching because that's where most of the exciting sketching for me happens. And yes, being able to come up with compelling sketches early helps align all of the project's stakeholders before the design team gets too far along. I work with and oversee multiple teams and projects in our office, but by the end of concept we typically have 3d models and plans developed in Sketchup or Revit (rendered with Enscape), along with a design presentation developed in inDesign using Photoshop and Illustrator for the content. Here in Dubai, after this stage it it just progressively gets more technical, going to Schematic Design, then Detailed Design, then Tender Drawings and IFC. In these later stages I am doing more daily quick sketches and markups to guide my team as we develop the design further in more detail, and I'm not really doing any more fancy presentation sketches. Maybe I can do a video in the future that walks through our process in more detail.

@@DigSketch Sorry i am a bit autistic. i understand the normally more complex and technical of a architecture project. With buildings and large areas is typically required renderings, plans, schematic design , section design to visualize it for the different parties involved I guess. My landscape architect field is more simple. I normally use morpholio and sketchup and procreate combined for everything. Sketch and Rendering is now possible just with sketchup4ipad + ai plugin. Another way is using morpholio for sketching as it has set measures option and then rendering it in procreate with photos, textures or brushes imported. It save lots of time and money of course is less attractive then luminion or other programs but it fits perfectly for low budget projects.

If you tap on the actual slider handle you will see a pop up window come up where you can save its position. You should see a small + and - button there.

They also appear automatically when you purchase Harvey’s pen set. Very cool.
