Yes, I agree with you I have the same but it's the PRS S2 24 I also love the wait and the look it has 58/15S pickups and yes it has a nitro finish I have 9 Electric guitars Gibson LP standard 4A premium top and others but I find my self picking up the S2, the pickups are the same as the SE model and are imported in just thought you would like to know and I have subscribed
I got one for a steal ~ 2 years ago but noted a couple things: needed a brass block, saddle upgrade to USA prs, and new pickups. The originals were way too low output and trebly
i have an s2 standard and agree that for the price of one new now, you should look into a used core or a ce. used standard prices are good still. i got my standard satin 24 brand new for $850 on a sale in 2019. now they cost $1400.
Umm on body shape - I actually find the carve of the body îs a plus, as it allows the right hand to sit better than a fully maple top carved top. Sort of like an SG vs a LP.
Very good points though about the worry free experience. IMHO the figured top cores are a bit too much at times, I actually like the more toned down aesthetic.
the s2 carve is actually more comfortable even though it doesn't look as good. i think it works for the standard though. i dont like the looks much on the s2 customs though.
