Awesome video.
This brings back alot of memories. The Daisy 880 Powerline was my first "High End" pellet rifle. In its day it was the best. All my friends had Crossman. But nobody could out shoot me an my Powerline.
I remember when I first saw one. I begged until I got it........👍
What a great match up! I have a feeling that 24 is going to be a great year for everybody!
That was one heck of a match, the old boy still has it !
When i go out back to hit spinners its a tough choice between the 1000 and the 880 so i take both lol its been a great year for walnut and steel next year will be even better if thats even possible. So lets go viewers spead the word .
nice daisy 880s vidio l always love seeing vidios on this gun such a classic air gun. l own 8 of them mostly from 1970s also have the 822 922 and the 917. and the ted williams 880 . l am still looking for the first year 880 called the powerking 1972 first year came out. the daisy 880 is a perfect balance air gun. with great looks, style and power, and accurate. and cost is cheap for new ones.
Just like in Rocky the old guy whipped the young punk's butt! Pretty close & thats hard with those triggers off hand. Nice job. 🎯👍🙏
Great gun for the kids. Picked one up with a wood stock and steel receiver in .22 caliber. I think it’s called an 822. Sends a 15.4 grain Daisy Hollow Point @ 570 FPS. These guns are a pleasure to pump compared to my BS 392 & C 2100B 😂. 880 Powerline is a good value.
the 822 is pretty cool, nice find! you don't see too many of those around.
Great Vid! Love the 880!
Just picked up one of these last week for my son. Shoots well. Been thinking about getting the Daisy Powerline 901. Same internals, just a different plastic stock. Thanks for the video. Keep on shootin' in the new year.
Good job keeping it in the bullseye👍
Good morning nib's
Nice shooting, Nibs.
I've mentioned that I have a bunch of the 880s. Even one or two of the SEARS variations and an 881. Love them all.
Your accuracy as a shooter is impressive also.
Russ
My first airgun that was powerful was the Sears Eldorado variation ( 1970's ) , still have it and resealed it and works like new . My second one has the box and all included paperwork .
These are accurate and powerful air rifles. I heard when they first came out were made of wood and metal; wouldn't that be nice? Thanks for the video.
Me encanta Day.
Saludos
Hell sir!
Thanks Nibs.
Could you do a video on date codes? Might be of interest.🤷
No problem will put it on the list
That was just a cold bore shot on that second rifle.
i love the pumping gun keeping my left arm the same size as the jurking one 😅🤣
But I am left handed!😱
@@WalnutandSteel not me🙂😂
Nice one,Ive been waiting to see something like this.Happy New Year.
Wish they were still made in USA
Great job sir!! I hope you had a great Christmas!!
I did, how about you and Hunter?
@@WalnutandSteel Good I’m glad. Mine was good too. I got the 22lr Savage Mark 2 with the Boyd’s stock I’ve been wanting. Just haven’t been able to shoot it yet.
G'afternoon Nibb's ☕☕ 🤠 . I had an old Daisy model 880 that I packed around for 20 plus years that I couldn't get rid of cuz it was just like an old friend. Unfortunately it turned out to have a rifled plastic barrel with a pressed metal sleeve around it and after a number of years the rifling was just blown out of it and it wasn't even paper plate accurate at 25' anymore. Unfortunately we lost our home for the last 15 years to a fire last year so it's gone now. However I recently found out that Daisy has made a few silver anniversary models of the 880 . I haven't seen one in person and I'd like to know if they're worth a hoot and if they have an actual rifled steel Barrel cuz I'd like to have another 880 around just because but I don't want another rifle plastic barrel with a Pressed metal sleeve around it again. If you have any thoughts on that please let me know and thanks 🤓 ..
Are you sure it's not a metal barrel surrounded by plastic?
@@heithwatkins it was an early Daisy Powerline 880. The barrel itself was a president metal sleeve. On the bottom side of the barrel running the full length of the barrel was a slip joint where the two edges interlocked together. On the muzzle end it had a press fit metal cap that was drilled and chamfered in the front site attached to the top of the cap. Under the cap inside the sleeve was a plastic barrel that was drilled and rifled and I'm assuming that's why you never had the option of replacing the barrel on the model 880.
@@heithwatkins you're thinking of one of the cheap plastic novels systems like the Crosman F4 or the Umarex Air Hawk or impact Max Elite has on it and that's a whole nother subject altogether
Will you do an old 362(367) vs new 362(367)?
Unfortunately I don’t have either one of those
I have 2 old Daisy gun boxes in pretty good shape probably from the 60s tell me how to send them to you and they're yours free
Hi Tom, my email address is in the description text. Send me an email and we can discuss it further thanks!
