Trim and crop both seem to do the same in this situation, but is one better to reduce file size or for other reasons? Thank you!

Using rectangles and circles I need to create a 2 and a 5. Which pathfinder option can I use? I am lost.

Im not at my computer right now but i believe it would be the UNITE option in pathfinder. Whenever im not sure i just try all of them! Lol

I don t understand the difference between intersect and crop.
Crop is like intersect except it takes the colour of the object at the bottom.
