- Have you ever wondered what is the difference between the Pathfinder panel and the Shape Builder tool in Illustrator? Both of them are great to turn shapes into artwork but there are slight differences between them. In this video I will show you how to make the most of both of these amazing tools.

Brilliant tutorial
amazing tutorial thank you very much sir! I gave up on the voicecrack in between :D
Is there a quick way to get rid of path edges after using Shape Builder Tool? Also is there a way without duplicating the object to change the width of a stroke of let's say a donut shaped compound object? Like the inside of the donut to have one stroke and outside a different width
Very good
Great video
This ladder situation isn't still the worst scenario to the Shapebuilder tool. Because you could have selected half the ladder with rectangle selection, and then the other half. Both are still usable.
The problem of the Shapebuilder tool would be if the big vertical shapes are joint with only a single horizontal shape. So this would be the "ideal" situation to use the Pathfinder instead.
But remember, Pathfinder is still a "1-click" tool, much faster! Haha
thanks gj
Thanks.
Très bon
intro music is awesome
Iam using illustrator more than 4 years. I don't know the shift+ x shortcut
thats so useful
This does not work for me. The shape builder tool does not do what is shown in the video
Are you German ?
Pathfinder is not that much of a good tool, it is important and essential but needs to be redesigned. I'm switching from Coreldraw I have noticed that corel's version of this tool works much better.
