Songs that you have to react to by a7x "Unbound" "Doing Time" "Bat Country" "Creating God" "Critical Acclaim" "Shepherd of Fire" "Demons" "Dancing Dead" "Tension" (this one is a banger)
The song that got A7X into the "mainstream" is Bat Country, definitely have to check that one out next!! Make sure you do the studio version tho, the music video cuts out about 2 minutes from the song :/
This song is about the man who shot and killed Dimebag Darrell in cold blood during a show. RIP Dimebag. Machinehead also wrote a song related to this called "Aesthetics of Hate" which is...well.....a very angry song, written towards a news writer who wrote a slam article about Dimebag the day after he died.
@@RunThermal Pretty much! It was obviously a huge deal in the scene st the time and there was a huge outpouring from the community. Some of these musicians, and just huge fans lost their hero that day. It was a tragedy.
@@Darkstarex2 man, I'll be honest I never really explored rock beyond classic but songs like this make me want to learn more because there feels like there is just this life to the whole scene one continuous and long life with so many experiences and lessons to convey, man music is just so great.
I'm about to sound corny as hell right now, but watching your A7X reactions reminds me why A7X is my favorite band of all time. Going on these musical journeys with someone that appreciates this band the way I do is amazing. You're doing God's work sir!
Check out the documentary of how and why Dimebag Darrell was killed on stage while performing that night. It’s on UA-cam I think. Very sad and twisted story. The killer was basically a crazy “super fan” of Dime and thought the only way he could live with him forever would be by killing himself and Dime for some maniacal reason. Edit: there’s much more to the story than just that obviously, but basically the guy had some serious mental issues and had a voice in his head telling him he had to do it.
My favourite album is Avenged Sevenfold self titled but their most popular is City of Evil for sure. Bat Country is a must. The song that broke them in to the mainstream and still one of their most popular songs. It is the lead single from City of Evil. You can't say you truly know A7X without doing this song.
You know I will never miss a A7X song Hands down my all-time favorite band have seen the live 4 times so excited for the next album hopefully this year
Great reaction D Gibbs, i think the people who requested this probably should have told you what the song was about first, it's a handy piece of info when listening to it.
Great Reaction D-gibby! Special lyrics in this song. " I feel it burn inside, Burn in me like the rising sun, Lifted into the sky, Took away the only thing I've Loved" RIP DIME & VINNIE 🤘❤🤘
I like how you broke down that first part. Cause that's how i was thinkin when i broke down the lyrics myself. But then you learn what the song is really about and then it really makes sense 💯
This song was written about the murder of Dimebag Darrell from somebody who believed Dimebag was stealing his guitar riffs and making songs out of them. The shooter killed Dimebag during a live show of I believe the band was Damageplan (after leaving Pantera) and shot into the crowd, I believe, and ultimately ended up dying himself from a shot to the face from the security guard. This happened in between the releases of Waking The Fallen and City Of Evil. All of this is what I read on Wikipedia and I have not looked at other websites to verify the truth of it, but it makes sense to me.
Yo gibby great vids man! I just want to let you know that there might be something wrong with how your recording the song. Idk why but for sidewinder and this it hasn’t been the highest quality. Keep up the great work!
City of evil is defenetly up there on the list of best albums by a7x. But personally I think waking the fallen is their best one, closely followed by the self titled
I greatly enjoy the Nightmare album. But for me personally, City of Evil is their best. My old singer of the band I used to be used to call it “the best album Judas Priest never made” lol. I will concede that I consider Nightmare a VERY close 2nd place to City of Evil though.
@@mbabaneamputee7725 oh yeah for sure makes sense. I would say that overall City of Evil is my favorite album but I like more of the songs on Nightmare better with obvious exceptions being Strength of the World, Beast and the Harlot, The Wicked End, and Blinded In Chains being my favorite song of theirs period.
There is no way you haven’t heard bat country at some point in your life once you hear it , it might sound familiar haha. Both burn and trashed are epic. Shit do trashed first 😂🤘🏼 great reaction as always . Your Forrsure my top 3 favorite UA-camr to watch .👍🏼
You should do Roman Sky, but if you do you should consider doing the fan unofficial music video by Milosh. There’s no official one but this fan one was featured on the A7X Facebook page and helps set the mood for the song
I always looked at it as, the character saying "I" and "Me" is the the younger trainee or whatever you'd like to call it, and the person he is talking to is the mentor. The mentor trained him, raised him like his own son and now the kid is older and still looks up to this guy. The mentor betrayed him and so at the end of the song, "one thing left to finish, you" He kills the mentor. The mentor betrayed him.
I asked on Twitter a while ago if you coukd do St. James by A7X. Please? @dgibbyfit could you react to "St. James" by Avenged Sevenfold? It has a double meaning. It is about the historical religious figure. The story was a very impactful on The Rev. But the song is also about honoring James "The Rev" Sullivan's life
This song has a bit of a dark, crazy story to it. It has nothing to do with Avenged Sevenfold themselves, but rather with a band they looked up to and the murder of the lead guitarist of that band live on stage by a crazed fan.
This song was written for Dimebag Darrell from Pantera! RIP to Dime and Vinnie🤘🏻🖤
How he died?

This song is dope. Wait till you get to Trashed and Scattered. It’s literally the theme song for your eraser for the haters.

Lol so true msn
Trashed and Scattered is probably my fav song on one of the best albums ever. Love the aggression on that track, and the way it ends.
This song was written about Dimebag’s murder.
Pantera shedding skin read the lyrics and connect the dots
This song is about the death of Dimebag Darrell. I believe it's written from his perspective and the perspective of the killer.

Warmness On The Soul!! This is a great love song by them! Sing it to your wife 🙂
btw this is about the murder of Dimebad Darrell, from the perspective of the murderer I believe.
Some of it also came from Dimebags friends perspective and him himself
RIP Dimebag and Vinnie! 🤘🏻🖤 Gibby you got the exact concept about the song. Look into the Dimebag story and you’ll understand the song way better!
Just adding as well that this is about Dimebag...........RIP and thank you for doing so much A7X sir!

Avenged Sevenfold - Paradigm
Avenged Sevenfold - Planets
Avenged Sevenfold - Gunslinger
Avenged Sevenfold - Bat country ( studio vers )
Avenged Sevenfold - Crossroads
Avenged Sevenfold - 4AM

Gotta do Dancing Dead by A7X next!!
Speaking of Tv shows from Texas, I grew up right next to south fork ranch, the place they originally shot the tv Dallas.
Any of the three from City of Evil is amazing. That album is pretty much the closest thing to perfection in metal or rock music.
